Guten Tag everyone:

So, here we go again. The ‘project to remove the zeros’ surfaces once again…..

My CBI contact told me on my Saturday call to Iraq they are making preparations to begin issuing the newer lower denominations. More details are coming, she said.

Proverbs 19:17

β€œWhoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”

STATUS OF THE RV

Iraq needs to get off their asses and realize the entity that have been holding them back now for 23 years is NOT their friends. I am talking about Iran.

With this above statement, let us get into today’s news.

As we wind down our October news, we begin to see a resurgence of the issue of the project to remove the zeros. What’s going on here? is this just in time? The question is still debatable whether any real formal announcement has been made to actually set a date to begin the project. I don’t think we are going to get one. Instead Iraq will just begin to see the newer lower denominations mixed in circulation with the 3 zero notes. If you remember there will be no revaluation of the ‘official’ rate. Both sets of currencies will hold to the same official rate. But we know better and we know that there will be an indirect rate change (not an official revaluation), for, if you do the math, the rate per dinar does in fact change just by the lower denomination.

As we may remember there were multiple articles that told us this project would most likely begin in the first quarter of 2027. We also know the Finance Committee is pushing along with the CBI, however the CBI is said to be willing to move on it should there be legislation passed by parliament or not. This is important to remember. I need everyone to understand there have been about six options presented in the past news regarding ways to retrieve these hoards of cash (nearly 80% of the monetary mass) backΒ  into the banking system.

Here are the two most recent articles on this subject that came from Iraq just this week. They are titled as follows. Both are in the Articles Section of today’s Newsletter. Neither article is telling us anything we haven’t already heard before. But why bring this issue of removing the zeros up again just about 60 days from 2027?

β€œREMOVING ZEROS FROM THE IRAQI DINAR: A GOVERNMENT MOVE REOPENS THE ISSUE.”

β€œCURRENCY REFORM BEFORE REMOVING ZEROS: AN ECONOMIST TELLS IRAQ OBSERVER THAT THE ROADMAP IS TO STRENGTHEN THE VALUE OF THE IRAQI DINAR.”

In past articles the two main options that stood out most are:

1)to just print a new version of the 3 zero notes, then recall the ones. In recalling the author felt they could retrieve all of these stashes. Does this even make any real, practical sense. It would be very expensive to do and what would it really accomplish. Over time they would only be in the same situation all over again.

2)to issue the newer lower smaller denominations at the going CBI rate. Yes, not to change the β€˜official’ rate yet. These notes we were told are already printed and so there would be little to no future cost. If we do the math we learned that at 1320 there would be an informal/indirect rate change to .76 cents per dinar, and at 1520 .66 cents per dinar. They know this too. I strongly believe that if they did this move it would lead very quickly to a reinstatement at a much higher rate, the real nominal value of the dinar and would be back on the trading platforms. The sole peg to the dollar would be changed, dinar on a float and risk minimized to a basket of currencies, something the Iranian-backed crooks in Iraq also don’t want. This would cut out the parallel market altogether as there would be no need for massive amounts of dollar for trade or anything else. Thus it would suffocate the flow of U.S. dollar permanently to Iran.

THE CULPRIT IS THE U.S. DOLLAR……

Let’s break down why I have been saying this again. Here is what puzzles me most about the parallel market. By the way it is an ‘illegal’ parallel market. No other country has such a strong black market that actually influences the β€˜official’ rate of their currency so much as the black market in Iraq. It is a sad repercussion and reality to deal with while Iraq awaits the launching of the dinar back to FOREX. It’s illegal and so why don’t they just close it down and arrest anyone interfering in the nations monetary policy? Are they afraid? Is it that many crooked politicians enjoying the massive profits from it?

Yes, there is a usefullness to the parallel market too but also drawbacks that go along with it. The sole peg to the dollar invites the black market. It is a matter of course.

Please see the recent article titled β€œTHE GENERAL SYNDICATE OF MONEY CHANGERS REVEALS A PROPOSAL TO FINANCE SMALL TRADERS AND SUPPORT THE STABILITY OF THE EXCHANGE RATE.”

β€œThe General Syndicate of Exchange and Brokerage revealed on Saturday a proposal to launch a platform dedicated to financing small traders to support exchange rate stability. This announcement came on the sidelines of a meeting that discussed supporting the Central Bank of Iraq’s efforts to stabilize the exchange rate and developing the operations of exchange companies.”

If you can’t beat’em, join’em?

Please also see this recent article titled β€œAN EXPERT REVEALS THE REASON BEHIND THE PARALYSIS OF WHOLESALE MARKETS AND SPECULATORS’ MANIPULATION OF THE DOLLAR.”

β€œEconomic and banking expert Diaa Mohsen attributed the paralysis and stagnation plaguing wholesale markets and the reluctance of merchants to sell their goods to the β€œvague” and unclear policies pursued by the Central Bank of Iraq. He emphasized that these measures have left the parallel market in a state of constant fluctuation.

β€œMohsen told the Information Agency, β€œThe refusal of wholesalers to sell their goods has caused a shortage of basic commodities in the markets, which has automatically led to a new surge in the prices of goods and commodities, with the ordinary citizen being the sole victim of this chaos.”

This is the example of the liability of the parallel market dependency on the US dollar to actually cause hyper-inflation rather than eliminate it. It is time to do away with the dollar and this parallel market. It could not be any clearer this is what they need to do.

β€œHe added, β€œThe Central Bank injects hundreds of millions of dollars daily, but most of it goes as foreign transfers, while what is injected into the local and cash market does not exceed $3 million.” He pointed out that β€œthis cash shortage has opened the door wide for speculators in the parallel market to manipulate exchange rates and impose their sales outside the official rate.”

Mohsen explained that “this ineffective mechanism has eroded the confidence of both merchants and citizens in the central bank’s monetary policy, leaving markets hostage to rumors and daily speculation.”

So, we can see by this suggestion to the solution to the parallel market some people really don’t wantΒ  it to EVER go away. Don’t they know that when they launch back on FOREX they will repeg and so bye-bye parallel market? Do you see what I am trying to tell you today in this Newsletter. They keep trying to adjust to meet the IMF requirements without really solving the issue. They have no other real solutions or suggestions that they may implement and watch them fail again and again.

We have continued to see this over and over again. The issue is the sole peg to the U.S. dollar. Get it? But there are some smart people in the government too that also see this hypocrisy and so they, like us, see the only plausible solution is removing the zeros and launching back to FOREX.

To answer this first question, I will ask another question. Why don’t they repeg the dinar? It is so obvious that the sole peg to the US dollar is the culprit not so much the parallel market that they accuse. The parallel market only leaches off this sole peg. Get rid of the sole peg- solution done!

The parallel market is all about getting the almighty US Dollar then selling it at a spread. We have seen consistently this spread seems to average about 200 dinars. It is the sole peg that dictates using the dollar to trade with the outside world. Remember that Iraq already de-dollarized inside country and even made it illegal to sell in the markets unless using dinars.

Please the recent article titled β€œDAGHER EXPLAINS AL-ZAYDI’S PHILOSOPHY IN CURBING THE “PARALLEL MARKET”… CASH PLANES WILL DISPEL PEOPLE’S FEARS”

β€œThe Central Bank of Iraq entered the debate on Saturday (October 24, 2026) regarding the feasibility of injecting cash dollar shipments to calm the markets, supporting the vision put forward by Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi, and explaining that the introduction of β€œcash planes” comes to break the state of fear and speculation in the parallel market to reach the exchange rate level of 152 thousand dinars per 100 dollars.”

My impression of this above solution – it is nothing more than a knee-jerk reaction as a solution, like putting a Band-Aid on a deep wound that is bleeding you to death.

Take a peek at this recent article titled β€œAL-FATLAWI SPEAKS ABOUT STEPS TO RAISE THE VALUE OF THE IRAQI DINAR.”

MP Shaima al-Fatlawi stressed on Sunday β€œthe necessity of adopting an economic and monetary policy aimed at protecting the Iraqi dinar and restoring its purchasing power, noting that the decline in the value of the local currency over the past years has negatively impacted the living conditions of citizens”.

Speaking to Al-Maalouma, al-Fatlawi said, “The government should have worked to preserve and strengthen the value of the Iraqi dinar, as other countries have done to maintain the stability of their currencies, instead of resorting to measures that lead to its periodic devaluation.”

She added, “Monetary policy should focus on restoring the dinar’s purchasing power and achieving a more stable value,”

But how do you truly increase the purchasing power of the dinar? For one thing you can stop suppressing the true value of it. It is not about growing the economy so mush as it is about being real about the dinar. Iraq takes in billions of dollars in oil revenues each month to more than support the economy and salaries. So why the shortage of money?

1)Hoarded cash outside the banking system that can’t be used to help the economy in times of crisis. take a peek at this recent article titled β€œSOURCE: LACK OF FINANCIAL LIQUIDITY IS BEHIND THE DELAY IN PAYING IRAQI EMPLOYEES’ SALARIES FOR OCTOBER.”

I will let this one speak for itself. Go figure why? Just as I have been explaining to you. The banks have little cash. It is all hoarded outside the banking system.

β€œAn informed source attributed the delay by the Federal Ministry of Finance in disbursing state employees’ salaries for this month to the lack of necessary financial liquidity.

The source told Shafaq News Agency that funding for ministries and state institutions for the current month of October has not yet been provided due to the lack of necessary financial liquidity, which has led to a delay in the payment of salaries.”

2)I will present this recent article and it speaks for itself. It is titled β€œ20 BILLION IN 3 NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES… EXPECTED PARLIAMENTARY ACTION TO RECOVER LOOTED FUNDS AND COMBAT CORRUPTION”

Hey…hey…. Didn’t the government just tell us they had to borrow over $5 billion from the IMF to cover salaries and retirements? Why not use this clawed back money instead? Maybe if they didn’t have the parallel market they funds couldn’t be stolen?

The next question I have is what is the hold up in removing the zeros and reinstating the dinar back to the foreign exchanges? We must connect the pieces that I just described above.

Think about this, yes seriously think about it – Why do they maintain the sole U.S. dollar peg knowing damned well all the issues it is now causing 23 years after the invasion ended and Saddam Hussein was ousted. It is really now to control hyper-inflation or has it taken on yet another face, a liability, that could cause hyper-inflation in itself?

Seems there is yet another issue too facing the removing of the zeros. Many of these government people always want to make the delay in removing the zeros all about going from a rentier economy to a capitalistic economy first. Then the economists jump on the bandwagon too and come out with their articles and advice to the government.

But we must ask what is this resistance to removing the zeros really all about?

Could it be they have stagnated so long already using these three zeros notes there is not an old paradigm to overcome, or maybe a fear too of the unknow of what may happen when they do issue the newer lower denominations?

Then when would they would feel comfortable removing the zeros? At this point all these articles about resisting this effort are just nonsense and I certainly hope that there are more sensible government and CBI officials that can see through it all.

This is ridiculous and total nonsense. I have already talked so much as to why I feel this way. Also, by the way, my CBI contact feels the same. The Iraqi dinar has value now and its certainly much more than 1/5 of a penny. So why not just openly trade it at what ever the nominal or true value is at this time on the foreign exchanges and let it float like all the rest of the global currencies?

Please see the recent article titled β€œGOVERNMENT ADVISOR: IRAQ NEEDS TO TRANSITION FROM A RENTIER ECONOMY TO PRODUCTIVE CAPITALISM”

β€œEconomic advisor Mazhar Muhammad Saleh affirmed on Saturday that the government’s move towards drawing up a new capitalist economic identity for Iraq represents a positive and important step, pointing to the country’s need to move from a rentier economy to a productive economy based on diversifying sources of income and encouraging investment.”

This brings us to a real issue facing Iraq, the intentional need manipulation to suppress its national currency so they bend at the wishes of Iran. We see this now especially on the issue of the terrorist factions not wanting to disarm and disband. Remember president Trump does not want just to disarm but to disband and breakup these militias and factions – like β€˜no longer to exist’….  If he brings investors into Iraq, he does not want terrorist attacks later pulling their investment money out.

____________________________________

What is the new prime ministers plan to transition from the rentier economy? The title to this article is β€œHIS ECONOMIC ADVISOR: AL-ZAIDI HAS PUT FORWARD A NEW VISION TO END THE ERA OF RENTIER ECONOMICS.”

β€œMuzhir Muhammad Salih, the economic advisor to the Prime Minister, affirmed on Saturday that the government’s move towards drawing a new capitalist economic identity for Iraq represents a positive and important step, pointing to the country’s need to move from a rentier economy to a productive economy based on diversifying sources of income and encouraging investment.”

All I can add is I will believe it when I see it, bla, bla, bla. How many times must we hear this stuff, yet no action! We have been hearing comments like this for over a decade already yet not of these plans actually pan out. Yes, just yet another guy as prime minister sating what he has to say, but it never comes forth. Will it this time? Investors, at least the larger ones they really need, don’t want to yet invest in an Iraq that has terrorists factions occupying it. Worse yet now the US pulled out.

____________________________________

Please see the latest articles on this issue of disarming these factions inside Iraq. They are titled: β€œAL-MADA REVEALS DANGEROUS BEHIND-THE-SCENES DETAILS: AL-ZAIDI’S GOVERNMENT FACES A TEST OF WEAPONS AND THE DOLLAR, AND FEARS OF POPULAR PROTESTS.”

β€œThe Independent Press Agency reported that a report published by the Iraqi newspaper Al-Mada, which was followed by the Independent Press Agency, revealed escalating political, security and economic challenges facing the government of Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, in light of the continued disputes over restricting weapons to the state, escalating financial pressures and fears of popular protests breaking out in the coming period.”

β€œThe newspaper quoted sources close to the government palace as saying that al-Zaydi does not have an alternative plan to implementing the disarmament of the factions, and that the government is proceeding with its commitment to the new date set for June 30, 2027, after postponing the previous date that was scheduled for the end of last September.”

Again I will let this next recent bit of news speak for itself. The article is titled β€œAL-ZAYDI: AMERICAN CONCERNS ABOUT DOLLARS REACHING THE FACTIONS HAVE AFFECTED CASH SUPPLIES.”

β€œIraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi said on Friday evening that American concerns about dollars reaching the factions have affected the volume of cash supplies, while noting that the Iraqi government aims to obtain payments of up to $2.5 billion to address the exchange rate gap”.

β€œIn the oil file, he said that “there was one million barrels being sold to the Ministry of Oil at a price of 5,000 dinars per barrel, and this matter contributed to creating loopholes for corruption. The price of locally supplied oil was re-evaluated, which provides the treasury with about 20 trillion dinars annually.”

β€œHe added that “80 trillion dinars in revenues are expected within four years of changing the pricing of local oil,” noting that “the government has imprisoned those involved in corruption in the Ministry of Oil contracts and subjected the contracts to auditing.”

β€œThe Prime Minister stressed that “the Hormuz crisis deprived Iraq of benefiting from the rise in oil prices.”

Take a peek at this next recent article. There absolutely no proof that what Al-Zaidi says will actually happen. It is titled β€œIRAQ WILL SOON BE FREE OF ARMED FACTIONS, WEAPONS UNDER STATE CONTROL: IRAQI PM”

β€œIraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi said Friday that Iraq would soon be free of armed groups, with weapons exclusively in the hands of state security forces, as he defended his government’s fiscal measures and anti-corruption campaign.””

There is no proof that this last statement will actually happen. The Iranian terrorist factions are still (to this day) resisting disarmament and disbanding. Don’t be fooled by the headline.

β€œIn an interview with the state-run Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Zaidi said that “By June 30, 2027, no weapons will remain outside the framework of the state,” adding that “Iraq will soon, God willing, be a state free of factions, like other countries in the world, and weapons will be exclusively in the hands of the Iraqi security forces.”

β€œHis remarks come amid continuing disagreements between the Iraqi government and powerful pro-Iran armed factions over Baghdad’s efforts to bring all weapons outside state control under government authority.”

SUMMARY

Yes, I am still hearing from Iraq that the CBI fully intends to remove the zeros from their dinar as early as the first quarter of 2027. We all know what this ultimately means to us.

But we must be patient and realize lots can still happen to slow it down or delay it too. We must pray that nothing goes wrong.

As you may have read in my blog Iraq is going to borrow from the IMF over 5 billion to pay salaries while 80% of its cash is outside the banking system and can’t be utilized. This was to be used for August and September’s payrolls. But as I reminded everyone October was just around the corner too and now it is here. Again, they tell us they can’t pay October’s salaries due to lack of liquidity in the banks. What will they do now. The IMF loan turns out that it can sustain October also. The situation only worsens as time is running out on implementing a real solution, not a band-aid one. Everyone should take some time to at least read my RV STATUS today in it’s entirety and then reference the articles, even if you don’t read the entire article but just comb through them and get to the main points. Later down the road you will appreciate this information and you can tie it together with more of this ongoing RV saga.

We have not yet seen the Oil and Gas Law in parliament and so we wait to hear more on this topic. Remember that we were told way back in September by my CBI contact that the Oil and Gas industry in Iraq must be legislated and the law passed in parliament. It was supposed to be completed by 2007, according to the new Iraqi Constitution.

The CBI is determined to break the parallel market any way they can. A new set of reforms is expected to accomplish this goal, and so they say…. lol….lol….lol….

I don’t know why so many of my readers get so anxious. Maybe you have debts to payoff? It is a FACT that the dinar will move back to the currency exchanges (FOREX) and we can see the pressure building in the news in each and every one of my Newsletters now. So when will the dam finally break? It used to be that we might get an update on the project to remove the zeros once a month, if we were lucky. We have now had dozens of articles on this subject matter just since. August. Why is that? Can you connect that something is brewing and it was leaked out. They can’t put spilt milk back in the bottle, but they are desperately trying.

Of course they are worried about over speculators who want to make billions off of any revaluation when they have insider information. This is why the CBI is being so careful and I can’t blame them.

Their words not mine…..No Rumors, No Hype, No Opinions ,,,,,

                                             Just the FACTS!

These prophecies are an important tool we have to lead us on our path. They are more important now than ever. They give us the strength, perseverance and hope that a better time is coming and that God’s Hand is at work behind the scenes. If you just take a second even to look around you at these past three election cycles, how can you deny that God is at work? Are you sleeping or what?

It is amazing and there is no other way that these events could have happened the way they turned out. But there is more to come, much, much more, I assure you! Now that God has his biblical David re-elected, we need to pay attention to what He does next.

NOTE: These prophecies tell us also of things happening in the background that either the main stream news media does not know about or the crooked news media refuses to talk about. They do this to keep us in the dark to continue the Trump hating senario and for us to keep thinking that nothing is changing, thus Trump is not successful. But it is just the opposite happening. The proof is all around us if we look for it.

Fr. DON BOSCO EXPOSED THE DARK SECRET BEHIND ISLAM

I keep this one out here to view. Everyone should take the time to watch it. It will awaken you about the Muslim so-called religion (or should we call it for it is — a ‘cult‘.)

β€” And the truth the world forgot about the so-called Muslim religion.

Fr.Don Bosco, also known as John Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest and educator, born on August 16, 1815. He founded the Salesian Society in 1859 to help disadvantaged youth,  particularly boys, through education and community service. His teachings emphasized loverkindness, and the importance of education for young people, making him a beloved figure in Catholicism and a patron saint of youth. Don Bosco was canonized in 1934.

OBAMA’S NUCLEAR DEAL

SOMEONE’S HAS TO TELL US THE TRUTH BEYOND THE OBAMA LIES BEING TOLD BY HIM ABOUT HIS GREAT AND WONDERFUL IRANIAN DEAL.…. loL… lol…. LOL…

Was the former president Obama really that stupid about Iran or did he know the truth and there is an Iranian conspiracy going on here. Is he really an Iranian terrorist sympathizer? Really this may seem weird, even laughable to those liberal Obama lovers. Many are so naive and can’t believe it could possibly happen that Obama was a planted politician as president by the globalist deep state. He was groomed to meet certain objectives. So many of us need to take the vail off for a second, slap yourself in the face to wake yourself up and listen to how Obama is now taking credit for an Iranian deal. Really? I am not saying this as you can see if is coming from past news channels and his own mouth. You have to be kidding me.

From his words about the handling of the nuclear treaty with Iran we can clearly see his administration did not know what the hell they were doing. They made a mess of the treaty, and so can you blame Trump for cancelling U.S. participation in it and slapping on severe sanctions? Iran played Obama and his gang as fools.

This is about the former Obama era Iranian nuclear deal and just how bad it was.

β€˜WE THE PEOPLE’ HAVE MUCH MORE POWER THAN WE THINK.

It’s our country not the elite globalist. It does not belong to the politicians or worst yet non-elected government employees who are following the script of the globalists. They merely represent us and when they infringe upon the TRUST we give to them, it’s time to get rid of them. This trust has been broken!

The 4th Amendment abuse….

Everyone MUST watch this one. A national camera network that watches our cars everywhere we go. It feeds a master database that connects our locations and traces the license plate. Who allows these cameras? Who is paying for them? Too many examples of abuse of power, if you allow this continue. Many of these cameras have already been shut off on protest. It is time to dismantle all of them and pass laws prohibiting this abuse of our 4th amendment rights.

But these cameras are only one example of many abuses. There are many other cases of this mass surveillance of the citizens. Yes, these measures can catch criminals but at what cost. Is it worth the abuse and concerns to abuse out constitutional rights.

Flock cameras are automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras designed to capture vehicle information for law enforcement and public safety purposes.

A Flock camera is a surveillance device created by Flock Safety, an American company, that automatically photographs passing vehicles and records their license plates along with other vehicle details such as make, model, color, and distinguishing features like bumper stickers or dents.

These cameras are connected to the internet and use motion sensors and artificial intelligence to process images, convert license plates into text, and store the data in a searchable database. The system can generate alerts when a vehicle matches entries on hotlists, such as stolen cars or vehicles involved in criminal investigations.

The FBI, under the direction of the Whitehouse, conjured up narrative after narrative to sink Donald Trump. Many democrat Americans still believe that Trump committed 32 felonies and should be prosecuted. So why has he not been prosecuted then? TED CRUZ VS ILHAN OMAR: SIX FOLDERS TURN A HEATED HEARING INTO A RECORDS SHOWDOWN

REMOVING ZEROS FROM THE IRAQI DINAR: A GOVERNMENT MOVE REOPENS THE ISSUE.

The issue of removing zeros from the Iraqi currency has returned to the forefront of economic discussions, following statements by a member of the Parliamentary Finance  Committee, Riyadh Al-Tamimi, in which he revealed a government trend to remove zeros from the Iraqi dinar or change the currency, in a move that reopens one of the most prominent monetary issues that has remained on the table for years without moving to the stage of comprehensive implementation.

Al-Tamimi said, in a statement carried by local media, that β€œthere is a government trend to remove zeros from the currency or change it,” without revealing a specific timetable or details of the procedures that the concerned authorities may take to implement this trend.

These statements come at a time when the Iraqi economy is facing challenges related to the stability of the dinar exchange rate, the regulation of cash transactions, and the development of the banking system, which raises questions about the nature of the project, its objectives, and the extent of its connection to the financial and monetary reforms that the authorities are seeking to implement.

The project to remove zeros from the currency is a monetary measure aimed at redefining the nominal value of monetary units and simplifying arithmetic and accounting operations, without necessarily meaning an increase in the purchasing power of the dinar or an improvement in its actual value against foreign currencies

.For example, if it is decided to remove three zeros, the sum of one million dinars may become a new thousand dinars, with prices, salaries, deposits and financial obligations being recalculated in the same proportion, so that their real economic value does not change as a result of the conversion alone.

Removing zeros is different from changing the exchange rate; the former relates to renaming monetary units, while the latter is related to the value of the dinar against foreign currencies, which is a fundamental difference in understanding the potential effects of any future decision.

Experts in monetary affairs believe that the success of such a step requires extensive legislative, technical and banking preparations, including updating payment systems, ATMs and accounting software, in addition to organizing the process of replacing banknotes and raising citizens’ awareness of the transfer mechanisms.

The project also requires the establishment of clear controls to protect the rights of depositors, salary earners and retirees, and to prevent the exploitation of the transition period to raise prices or make inaccurate transfers of monetary values.

In the latest official statement, the Director of Media at the Central Bank of Iraq, Haider Ghazi, confirmed on October 19, 2026, that removing zeros requires legal legislation, due to its connection with debts, obligations, and fines stipulated in the applicable laws, explaining that the process, if approved, would be primarily of an accounting nature.

The governor of the Central Bank of Iraq had explained last September that changing the currency falls within the bank’s powers, while removing zeros requires legislation from the House of Representatives, which highlights the difference between the two legal paths between issuing new banknotes and redefining the nominal value of the dinar.

The Central Bank had previously denied, in an official statement dated August 26, 2026, the news regarding the printing of a new Iraqi currency with zeros removed, stressing that any future decision in this regard would be subject to legal, regulatory and technical stages, with a transitional period specified to ensure the protection of the financial rights and obligations of citizens and institutions.

These positions indicate that the debate regarding the future of the Iraqi currency remains open between the option of updating the banknotes in circulation and the option of removing zeros, while no final official decision has been issued that specifies the implementation mechanism or the date for starting the currency replacement.

Thus, MP Riyad Al-Tamimi’s statements gain new importance in bringing the issue back to the parliamentary level, but they do not in themselves mean the approval of the project or the start of its implementation, as the transition from orientations and discussions to actual implementation remains linked to the completion of legislative procedures and the official announcement of details by the competent authorities.

The most prominent question facing Iraqi citizens and markets remains: Will the authorities move towards issuing a new edition of the dinar in its current denominations, or towards restructuring the currency by removing zeros? This is a question whose final answer is still contingent on upcoming official decisions.

CURRENCY REFORM BEFORE REMOVING ZEROS: AN ECONOMIST TELLS IRAQ OBSERVER THAT THE ROADMAP IS TO STRENGTHEN THE VALUE OF THE IRAQI DINAR.

As discussions resurface regarding the future of the Iraqi currency and the possibility of removing zeros or replacing the dinar, the importance of prioritizing economic and monetary policies as a foundation for any future reform measures is paramount. There are strong assertions that strengthening the currency’s value and restoring confidence in it necessitates comprehensive financial and economic reforms that precede any decisions concerning the currency’s form or the number of zeros.

Economic researcher Dr. Safwan Qusay emphasized that determining the fair value of the Iraqi dinar and reconsidering the number of zeros in the currency fall under the purview of the Central Bank of Iraq’s monetary policy. He pointed out that proceeding with removing zeros or replacing the currency requires laying the appropriate economic groundwork and should not be done in isolation from the necessary reforms.

Qusay told Iraq Observer, “Monetary policy is responsible for determining the dinar’s value, while the government of Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi is expected to implement a financial and economic reform program that contributes to diversifying income sources and strengthening the national economy. Achieving economic diversification is a fundamental prerequisite before proceeding with any move related to changing the currency or removing zeros.”

He added that β€œaddressing the currency issue is not limited to changing its form or nominal value, but also requires taking measures to curb counterfeiting and help recover the cash holdings outside the banking system or abroad.” He pointed to the possibility of expanding the use of electronic cards in financial transactions as part of the transition to electronic payments and strengthening oversight of money flows.

He stressed that β€œthe success of any monetary measure is linked to the progress of financial and economic reforms and the ability of the relevant institutions to provide the requirements for stability.” He explained that changing the exchange rate, removing zeros, or replacing the currency should come at a later stage, after completing the necessary foundations for reform.

This approach places comprehensive economic reform at the forefront of priorities, as it is the most important entry point for building confidence in the Iraqi dinar and strengthening monetary stability, while decisions regarding the future of the currency remain the prerogative of the Central Bank, based on economic indicators and the requirements of the next phase.

GOVERNMENT ADVISOR: IRAQ NEEDS TO TRANSITION FROM A RENTIER ECONOMY TO PRODUCTIVE CAPITALISM

Economic advisor Mazhar Muhammad Saleh affirmed on Saturday that the government’s move towards drawing up a new capitalist economic identity for Iraq represents a positive and important step, pointing to the country’s need to move from a rentier economy to a productive economy based on diversifying sources of income and encouraging investment.

Saleh said, β€œRegarding Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi’s statement about the government working on drawing up a new capitalist economic identity for Iraq, this step is positive and important, especially since Iraq needs to move from a rentier economy to a productive capitalism based on diversifying the economy, encouraging investment, and enabling the private sector to create job opportunities and increase production and exports, which will enhance the national economy’s ability to achieve sustainable development.”

He added that “the social market economy represents a framework for achieving a balance between market freedom and the role of the state in regulating competition, providing basic services, and ensuring social justice,” explaining that “what is required is not the withdrawal of the state from economic activity or its continued management of most economic activities, but rather the building of an efficient institutional state, a productive private sector, and a social system that protects the rights of citizens.”

Saleh pointed out that “the real challenge facing Iraq is to transform oil wealth from a source of spending and rent into a lever for sustainable development,” stressing that “the success of the economy should be measured by its ability to increase production, provide job opportunities and improve the standard of living of citizens, and not by the size of oil revenues alone.”

AL-FATLAWI SPEAKS ABOUT STEPS TO RAISE THE VALUE OF THE IRAQI DINAR.

MP Shaima al-Fatlawi stressed on Sunday the necessity of adopting an economic and monetary policy aimed at protecting the Iraqi dinar and restoring its purchasing power, noting that the decline in the value of the local currency over the past years has negatively impacted the living conditions of citizens.

Speaking to Al-Maalouma, al-Fatlawi said, “The government should have worked to preserve and strengthen the value of the Iraqi dinar, as other countries have done to maintain the stability of their currencies, instead of resorting to measures that lead to its periodic devaluation.”

She added, “Monetary policy should focus on restoring the dinar’s purchasing power and achieving a more stable value,” pointing out that “the experience of some countries in maintaining currency value serves as an example of the differences in monetary policies between countries, while taking into account the specific characteristics and capabilities of the Iraqi economy.”

Al-Fatlawi explained that “the state’s responsibility lies in protecting the local currency and limiting its devaluation,” emphasizing that any “economic measures must consider their impact on citizens, markets, and living standards.”
She pointed to “the importance of reducing reliance on the dollar and strengthening the role of the dinar in domestic transactions, along with adopting policies that support exchange rate stability and bolster confidence in the national currency,” explaining that “achieving this requires integrated economic and monetary measures that enhance local production and support financial stability.”

She stressed that “restoring the dinar’s strength is not achieved simply by demanding an increase in its value, but rather requires a well-considered monetary policy and a productive economy that reduces dependence on imports, thereby contributing to protecting citizens’ purchasing power and strengthening the country’s economic independence.”

AN EXPERT REVEALS THE REASON BEHIND THE PARALYSIS OF WHOLESALE MARKETS AND SPECULATORS’ MANIPULATION OF THE DOLLAR.

Economic and banking expert Diaa Mohsen attributed the paralysis and stagnation plaguing wholesale markets and the reluctance of merchants to sell their goods to the β€œvague” and unclear policies pursued by the Central Bank of Iraq. He emphasized that these measures have left the parallel market in a state of constant fluctuation.

Mohsen told the Information Agency, β€œThe refusal of wholesalers to sell their goods has caused a shortage of basic commodities in the markets, which has automatically led to a new surge in the prices of goods and commodities, with the ordinary citizen being the sole victim of this chaos.”

He added, β€œThe Central Bank injects hundreds of millions of dollars daily, but most of it goes as foreign transfers, while what is injected into the local and cash market does not exceed $3 million.” He pointed out that β€œthis cash shortage has opened the door wide for speculators in the parallel market to manipulate exchange rates and impose their sales outside the official rate.”
Mohsen explained that “this ineffective mechanism has eroded the confidence of both merchants and citizens in the central bank’s monetary policy, leaving markets hostage to rumors and daily speculation.

AL-ZAIDI’S STATEMENT REGARDING THE DOLLAR IS CONFUSING THE MARKET AND DOES NOT ALIGN WITH THE CENTRAL BANK’S POLICY.

Economic expert Ziad al-Hashemi criticized Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s statements on Saturday, October 24, 2026, regarding the government’s intention to inject cash dollar shipments into the markets to lower the exchange rate. Al-Hashemi asserted that this proposal contradicts the Central Bank’s policy and sends the wrong message to the public. He stated that al-Zaidi’s talk of increasing cash shipments from the Federal Reserve to $500 million per month and working to raise this to $1 billion for injection into the markets presents a problem that will confuse the market, because the Central Bank does not offer dollars for free sale but rather allocates them for specific purposes such as travel and medical treatment.

Al-Hashemi stressed that reducing the parallel exchange rate sustainably requires addressing the causes of demand outside the banking system and facilitating financing for official trade, not just injecting cash shipments.

Earlier, Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi reassured citizens that the dollar exchange rate would soon drop to 155,000 dinars, indicating that Washington would send $1 billion in cash to Iraq, and that there were government efforts to double this amount to inject it into the market and revitalize it.

AL-MADA REVEALS DANGEROUS BEHIND-THE-SCENES DETAILS: AL-ZAIDI’S GOVERNMENT FACES A TEST OF WEAPONS AND THE DOLLAR, AND FEARS OF POPULAR PROTESTS.

The Independent Press Agency reported that a report published by the Iraqi newspaper Al-Mada, which was followed by the Independent Press Agency, revealed escalating political, security and economic challenges facing the government of Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi, in light of the continued disputes over restricting weapons to the state, escalating financial pressures and fears of popular protests breaking out in the coming period.

The newspaper quoted sources close to the government palace as saying that al-Zaydi does not have an alternative plan to implementing the disarmament of the factions, and that the government is proceeding with its commitment to the new date set for June 30, 2027, after postponing the previous date that was scheduled for the end of last September.

According to the report, the coordination framework gave the government political cover to proceed with the weapons control measures, during a meeting held in the office of former Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, amid continued refusal by some factions to hand over their weapons, and fears that the current disputes could turn into a security and political confrontation.

The report indicated that US envoy Tom Barrack is monitoring the results of the pledges made by Baghdad regarding arms control, while analysts believe that his recent visit to Iraq came to test the government’s ability to translate its commitments into actual measures.

In a notable development, Al-Mada quoted Ahmed Al-Yassiri, head of the Arab Australian Center for Strategic Studies, as saying that the coordination framework may not lead to a direct confrontation with the factions, but it may lift the political cover from them, thus changing the nature of dealing with them internally and externally.

Al-Yassiri warned that Iraq is heading towards a difficult economic phase, which may be accompanied by popular protests as a result of living pressures, unemployment and declining purchasing power, considering that the government is facing a test that may threaten its continuation.

The report also addressed government measures related to media discourse and incitement to obstruct decisions to restrict weapons, coinciding with political moves to legislate a law to combat information technology crimes, amid fears of its potential repercussions on freedom of expression.

On the economic front, the newspaper highlighted the repercussions of adjusting the dollar exchange rate and the trend towards borrowing, and quoted Al-Yassiri criticizing the government’s financial policies, warning that any borrowing program from the International Monetary Fund may be accompanied by economic conditions that affect government support, employment and public spending, without this meaning that these measures have already been decided.

Al-Yassiri believes that expanding the distribution of ministerial positions among political forces, in contrast to the escalating economic burdens on citizens, may put the government in front of an increasing crisis of popular confidence.

The report noted that the inclusion of forces close to armed factions within the expanded government structure further complicates the situation and raises questions about the Prime Minister’s ability to implement decisions to restrict weapons in light of the existing political balances.

The analysis presented by Al-Mada concluded that Al-Zaidi’s government faces a double test: implementing security pledges on one hand, and containing economic and social pressures on the other, amid warnings that the continuation of crises may threaten the government’s stability and put its political future in open-ended possibilities.

The scenarios regarding the overthrow of the government or the outbreak of widespread protests remain political assessments included in the report, and are not confirmed developments.

HIS ECONOMIC ADVISOR: AL-ZAYDI HAS PUT FORWARD A NEW VISION TO END THE ERA OF RENTIER ECONOMICS.

Muzhir Muhammad Salih, the economic advisor to the Prime Minister, affirmed on Saturday that the government’s move towards drawing a new capitalist economic identity for Iraq represents a positive and important step, pointing to the country’s need to move from a rentier economy to a productive economy based on diversifying sources of income and encouraging investment.

Saleh said, β€œRegarding Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi’s statement about the government working on drawing up a new capitalist economic identity for Iraq, this step is positive and important, especially since Iraq needs to move from a rentier economy to a productive capitalism based on diversifying the economy, encouraging investment, and enabling the private sector to create job opportunities and increase production and exports, which will enhance the national economy’s ability to achieve sustainable development,” according to the official agency.

IRAQ WILL SOON BE FREE OF ARMED FACTIONS, WEAPONS UNDER STATE CONTROL: IRAQI PM

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi said Friday that Iraq would soon be free of armed groups, with weapons exclusively in the hands of state security forces, as he defended his government’s fiscal measures and anti-corruption campaign.

In an interview with the state-run Iraqi Media Network (IMN), Zaidi said that “By June 30, 2027, no weapons will remain outside the framework of the state,” adding that “Iraq will soon, God willing, be a state free of factions, like other countries in the world, and weapons will be exclusively in the hands of the Iraqi security forces.”

His remarks come amid continuing disagreements between the Iraqi government and powerful pro-Iran armed factions over Baghdad’s efforts to bring all weapons outside state control under government authority.

The government initially sought to resolve the issue by September 30, coinciding with the end of the US-led coalition’s military mission in Iraq, but later extended the deadline to June 30, 2027. Several Iran-backed factions have disputed the timetable, saying that no final agreement has been reached.

Under a 2024 agreement between Washington and Baghdad, the US military formally ended its Operation Inherent Resolve mission in Iraq on September 30, concluding a 12-year campaign against the Islamic State (ISIS) from within the country and shifting bilateral security cooperation to a new framework.

“The absence of foreign forces means the absence of the justification that was presented for carrying weapons outside the framework of the state,” Zaidi said, emphasizing that “there is currently no American soldier in Iraq, neither within combat forces nor in the capacity of military advisors.”

Zaidi revealed that understandings have been reached with five factions to lay down their arms, saying that work has been completed with three of them. β€œWork is underway to complete procedures with two other factions in the coming period,” he said.

His remarks also come as armed factions remain divided over bringing weapons under state control. While Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada offered conditional support for arms control frameworks, Harakat al-Nujaba and Kataib Hezbollah continue to reject compliance with the government’s timetable.

The group previously launched hundreds of drone and missile strikes under the Islamic Resistance in Iraq umbrella against American targets and diplomatic facilities.

Fiscal policy and disruptions to oil exports

Turning to economic policy, Zaidi defended his cabinet’s recent adjustments to the national currency’s value against the US dollar to safeguard public finances.

“The choices before the government were all difficult, but we had to take the necessary measures to protect the financial situation,” the prime minister stated, noting that “the mistake was not in the government’s decision to raise the dollar exchange rate, but in the previously taken decision to lower the exchange rate.”

The new exchange rate comes amid mounting fiscal pressures, with Iraq recording a budget gap of more than 29 trillion dinars ($22.4 billion) in the first seven months of 2026, according to Finance Ministry figures published earlier this month.

In early October, Iraq’s Council of Ministers approved a de facto devaluation of the Iraqi dinar, raising the official exchange rate from 1,320 dinars per US dollar to 1,520 dinars per US dollar for final beneficiaries.

Alongside currency adjustments, Zaidi outlined long-term targets to diversify state income beyond the energy sector, stating that his government “aims to raise the contribution of non-oil revenues to 30 percent of total revenues over the remaining years of its ter
Since the US-Israeli war against Iran began on February 28, Iraq has been working to restore oil revenues severely affected by disruptions to shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, the country’s principal oil export route.

Commenting on Tehran’s actions in the maritime corridor, Zaidi stated that “the Iranian goal in closing the strait does not relate to Iraq specifically, but rather is to exert pressure by raising energy prices in global markets.”

Oil revenues account for at least 88 percent of Iraq’s total state income, while around 90 percent of its pre-war crude exports – approximately 3.5 million barrels per day – passed through the Strait of Hormuz via the country’s southern ports.

Addressing the impact of the Strait of Hormuz closure on Iraq’s crude exports, Zaidi stressed the need to overhaul the country’s export infrastructure to prevent similar disruptions in the future.

“The current crisis provided an important lesson for Iraq, and it must be utilized to build an integrated system for transporting and exporting oil, so the repercussions the country faced are not repeated,” he said.

Baghdad has sought to mitigate the disruption by diversifying export routes, including resuming shipments of Kirkuk crude through the Kurdistan Region to Turkey’s Ceyhan port and transporting smaller volumes by tanker trucks through Syria.

“The government has laid out a plan to gradually raise Iraqi oil production capacity… targeting a production of 10 million barrels per day by 2032,” Zaidi stated.

Zaidi said closing the Iraqi-Iranian border would harm both countries, warning that such a move amid the current crisis would amount to Iraq imposing an economic blockade on itself rather than on Iran. β€œClosing the Iraqi-Iranian borders is not in the interest of Iraq nor in the interest of Iran,” he said.

Anti-corruption efforts

Zaidi addressed the personal and political toll of his administration’s ongoing anti-graft drive, stating the continuation of Operation Dawn “will cost me the loss of many friends and loved ones.”

“An official is faced with two choices: either preserve their relationships and friends and overlook the people’s money, or draw clear lines for everyone when it comes to public funds,” he stated.

“The government adopted the principle of ‘prevention is better than cure’ and worked through the Federal Board of Supreme Audit and the Federal Commission of Integrity to weaken opportunities for corruption and prevent it from occurring in the first place,” Zaidi said.

Zaidi’s statements come months after Operation Dawn, a large-scale nationwide anti-corruption campaign launched in late June by the prime minister in coordination with the Federal Commission of Integrity (FCoI).

In late August, government spokesperson Haider al-Aboudi detailed the financial results of the crackdown in comments to state media.

“The value of the funds, assets, or real estate recovered within the framework of the anti-corruption campaign is estimated at over 1.359 trillion dinars (over one billion dollars),” Aboudi told state media at the time.

Iraq ranked 136th out of 182 countries and territories in Transparency International’s 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index, scoring 28 out of 100.

AL-ZAYDI: AMERICAN CONCERNS ABOUT DOLLARS REACHING THE FACTIONS HAVE AFFECTED CASH SUPPLIES.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi said on Friday evening that American concerns about dollars reaching the factions have affected the volume of cash supplies, while noting that the Iraqi government aims to obtain payments of up to $2.5 billion to address the exchange rate gap.

Al-Zaydi added in an interview with Al-Iraqiya channel, which was monitored by Shafaq News Agency, that β€œthe Iraqi government has increased the supply of cash dollars from 140 million to half a billion dollars per month, and is working to increase shipments of American cash dollars to more than one billion dollars per month.”

He stressed that “the government is working to bring the dollar exchange rate back to 155,000 dinars or less,” noting that “previous reductions in the dollar exchange rate did not benefit the citizen, and the differences went to speculators.”

The Prime Minister explained that “the high exchange rate supports the industrial and agricultural sectors and enhances the competitiveness of Iraqi products,” noting that “some neighboring countries are flooding the Iraqi market with their surplus production, which weakens the ability of local products to compete.”

In the oil file, he said that “there was one million barrels being sold to the Ministry of Oil at a price of 5,000 dinars per barrel, and this matter contributed to creating loopholes for corruption. The price of locally supplied oil was re-evaluated, which provides the treasury with about 20 trillion dinars annually.”

He added that “80 trillion dinars in revenues are expected within four years of changing the pricing of local oil,” noting that “the government has imprisoned those involved in corruption in the Ministry of Oil contracts and subjected the contracts to auditing.”

He explained that “oil exports fluctuate between halting and exporting due to regional conditions, and we are working on a pipeline network to export oil so that Iraq does not remain hostage to the Strait of Hormuz. We also seek to reactivate the Ceyhan route and diversify oil export outlets.”

The Prime Minister stressed that “the Hormuz crisis deprived Iraq of benefiting from the rise in oil prices.”

Regarding fees and taxes, Al-Zaydi pointed out that “the government waived revenues from fees and taxes to bring in basic goods at lower prices,” explaining that “the exemption decisions included fruits and vegetables, most food items, medicines, and solar energy equipment and systems.”

The Prime Minister concluded that “the government is thinking about the citizen’s interest and is seeking to alleviate the economic pressure on him.”

Regarding the relationship with Washington, Al-Zaydi confirmed that “American companies have begun working with Iraq and have started implementing projects within the areas of joint cooperation,” noting that “the United States was chosen as a strategic partner based on its technological and economic capabilities.”

He added that “the partnership with Washington and the development of the energy sector will make Iraq’s influence in the region and the world different from previous years,” stressing that “increasing oil production will enhance Iraq’s position as one of the influential countries in the global energy market.”

Al-Zaydi stressed the continuation of visits to other countries to strengthen political, economic and investment relations, explaining that “developing Iraq’s foreign relations is an essential part of the state-building project.”

On the other hand, Al-Zaydi said that β€œthe four deputy prime ministers do not receive salaries and we have not appointed new employees for them,” adding: β€œI asked my deputies to be field-oriented and to visit the governorates, ministries and departments to find out the needs of the people.”

He revealed that “the government terminated the work of 72 advisors and created four positions for deputy prime ministers without additional costs,” noting that “the three new ministries did not add any job burdens to the budget.”

Regarding the challenges facing the government, Al-Zaydi revealed that he had been exposed to “threats and dangers during the past five months,” stressing, “I will not back down, we will not abandon our responsibilities, and we will continue to perform our duties until the last moment of the government’s term.”

Al-Zaydi also revealed that he had refused to take over the position twice before, adding: “I am confident that whoever comes after me will complete the project of building the state and the nation.”

He believes that “building national identity is the responsibility of the government, political forces, and community institutions,” stressing that “the government is working on a project to build a strong and stable Iraqi state.”

He added that “the government faces a great national responsibility concerning the fate of about 50 million people,” noting that “demonstrating is a constitutional right and we will listen to all the demands of the protesters.”

THE GENERAL SYNDICATE OF MONEY CHANGERS REVEALS A PROPOSAL TO FINANCE SMALL TRADERS AND SUPPORT THE STABILITY OF THE EXCHANGE RATE.

The General Syndicate of Exchange and Brokerage revealed on Saturday a proposal to launch a platform dedicated to financing small traders to support exchange rate stability. This announcement came on the sidelines of a meeting that discussed supporting the Central Bank of Iraq’s efforts to stabilize the exchange rate and developing the operations of exchange companies.

The head of the General Syndicate of Exchange and Brokerage, Diaa al-Tai, stated that “the meeting discussed ways to develop the work of exchange companies and add new activities that contribute to increased liquidity, as well as supporting the Central Bank of Iraq’s efforts to achieve exchange rate stability, with the participation of economic and financial experts and representatives from exchange companies.”

He added that “one of the reasons leading to the high and unstable exchange rate is the transactions of small traders through the parallel market,” noting that “the volume of these transactions is estimated at about $36 billion annually.”

Al-Tai explained that “exchange companies have proposed launching a financing process through a dedicated platform, within the framework of supporting the Central Bank of Iraq’s efforts to stabilize the exchange rate,” indicating that “the proposal is awaiting approval from the Central Bank and the government to proceed with its implementation.”

He indicated that “approving the proposal would, according to the union’s estimates, contribute to lowering the dollar exchange rate to below 1,600 dinars,” emphasizing that “exchange companies are part of the solution, not part of the problem.”

He added that “the union intends to submit a copy of the final draft of the proposal to the Prime Minister’s office and the Central Bank of Iraq for their consideration and appropriate action.”

DAGHER EXPLAINS AL-ZAYDI’S PHILOSOPHY IN CURBING THE “PARALLEL MARKET”… CASH PLANES WILL DISPEL PEOPLE’S FEARS

The Central Bank of Iraq entered the debate on Saturday (October 24, 2026) regarding the feasibility of injecting cash dollar shipments to calm the markets, supporting the vision put forward by Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi, and explaining that the introduction of β€œcash planes” comes to break the state of fear and speculation in the parallel market to reach the exchange rate level of 152 thousand dinars per 100 dollars.

In response to criticism from economist Ziad al-Hashemi β€”who argued that the government’s talk of injecting cash liquidity confuses the market and contradicts monetary policiesβ€”the advisor to the governor of the Central Bank, Mahmoud Dagher, affirmed that the Prime Minister’s plan is based on a precise understanding of the β€œsensitivity of the Iraqi street” and its psychological impact on the money supply.

Mahmoud explained, in an interview with the official channel followed by the 964 network , that the demand for cash dollars constitutes only 10% of the actual imports, which are mainly based on bank transfers. However, the arrival of air cash shipmentsβ€”two of which carried half a billion dollars each, and a third is preparing to land soonβ€”will be enough to calm the future expectations of companies and individuals, and curb greed in the parallel market.

Mahmoud said, β€œIraq finances its imports mainly through bank transfers and credits that are transferred directly to exporters away from the cash market, while the percentage of cash transactions does not exceed 10%, and is allocated to meet the needs of travelers, scholarship recipients, students and some other purposes.”

He added that β€œthe Prime Minister’s reference to increasing cash dollar shipments came from experience and knowledge of the nature of the Iraqi market, which is characterized by its high sensitivity to the supply of cash dollars,” indicating that β€œincreasing the quantities of cash dollars in the market pushes towards strengthening the value of the Iraqi currency and bringing it closer to its real value at a level of 152,000 dinars per 100 dollars.”

He explained that β€œthis sensitivity is related to the nature of trade dealings with some countries, as well as the importance of providing cash dollars to reassure market participants and holders of foreign currency,” expressing his hope that β€œthe arrival of the new shipments will contribute to achieving stability in the market.”

Mahmoud pointed out that β€œincreasing the supply of cash dollars through the various means adopted by the Central Bank enhances the state of reassurance in the market, as prices are not determined based solely on actual supply, but are mainly affected by future expectations.”

He added that β€œthe expectation of companies and individuals to continue the flow of cash dollars in larger quantities leads to a decrease in informal demand for dollars outside of banks licensed by the Central Bank, which is reflected positively on the stability of the exchange rate.”

Regarding the size of the cash shipments, Mahmoud explained that β€œthe value of a single shipment arriving by air to Iraq is close to half a billion dollars, and two shipments have arrived, while previous cash dollar transfers faced difficulties due to the security instability and military operations that the region witnessed.”

He pointed out that β€œthe actions of the Prime Minister and the Central Bank of Iraq contributed to convincing the US Federal Reserve of the importance of ensuring the smooth flow of cash dollar shipments to Iraq, which contributes to reassuring the local market.”

He confirmed that β€œthere is a shipment close to being expected to arrive in Iraq, in addition to the possibility of other shipments with a total value that may reach one billion dollars, equivalent to the cargo of two planes, to meet market demand,” noting that β€œthe continuation of this process is also linked to calming the security and military situation in the region.”

Regarding agreements for the supply of cash dollars, Mahmoud explained that β€œthe Central Bank of Iraq agrees at the beginning of each year with the US Federal Reserve on the size of its annual needs for cash dollars, which may amount, for example, to 10 to 12 billion dollars, to arrive via one or two shipments at intervals, with the provision of the necessary security conditions for their transport.”

He added that β€œthe Central Bank is simultaneously seeking to expand the use of bank cards in financial transactions, as Iraqis have begun to rely on them more for shopping, paying fees and meeting their various needs in dollars, but the level of awareness of using cards is still below the required level, which pushes some citizens to prefer cash transactions.”

Mahmoud noted in his speech that β€œincreasing cash dollar shipments at the current stage is an appropriate step to enhance market stability, and that the continued flow of these shipments will contribute to reassuring traders and positively influencing their expectations, which constitute a key factor in determining the exchange rate.”

SOURCE: LACK OF FINANCIAL LIQUIDITY IS BEHIND THE DELAY IN PAYING IRAQI EMPLOYEES’ SALARIES FOR OCTOBER.

(Mnt Goat: Go figure why? Just as I have been explaining to you. The banks have little cash. It is all hoarded outside the banking system)

An informed source attributed the delay by the Federal Ministry of Finance in disbursing state employees’ salaries for this month to the lack of necessary financial liquidity.

The source told Shafaq News Agency that funding for ministries and state institutions for the current month of October has not yet been provided due to the lack of necessary financial liquidity, which has led to a delay in the payment of salaries.

He explained that the disbursement of salaries is still pending the completion of funding procedures and notification of their release from the relevant authorities, noting that the disbursement date is linked to the completion of the necessary financial procedures.

20 BILLION IN 3 NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES… EXPECTED PARLIAMENTARY ACTION TO RECOVER LOOTED FUNDS AND COMBAT CORRUPTION

(Mnt Goat: Didn’t the government just tell us they had to borrow over $5 billion from the IMF to cover salaries and retirements? Why not use this clawed back money instead?)

MP Abdul Amir Najm revealed today, Monday, the most prominent vital draft laws that the government is working to finalize and send to Parliament in the coming period. He indicated that foremost among them is the β€œSettlement and Recovery” draft law, which aims to activate mechanisms for recovering looted public funds and curbing financial and administrative corruption.

Najm told the Information Agency, β€œParliament is awaiting the arrival of several important draft laws with oversight and financial dimensions from the government, most notably the Settlement and Recovery Law, which represents a qualitative legislative pillar to enable oversight and judicial bodies to pursue smuggled funds and those involved in stealing public money inside and outside the country.”

He added, β€œThe enactment of this law will give the state greater flexibility and faster legal tools to recover stolen funds and reinvest them in the public treasury and development projects, and close the legislative loopholes that corrupt individuals have exploited over the past years to escape with looted funds.”

Najm explained that β€œthe Parliamentary Integrity Committee is determined to give top priority to all legislation related to combating corruption and protecting national wealth as soon as it reaches Parliament,” stressing β€œthe necessity of integration and high-level coordination between the legislative and executive branches to enact these stringent laws and put an end to those who encroach upon the livelihood of the Iraqi people.”
In this context, previous official statistics showed that final court rulings had been issued to recover public funds amounting to $20.48 billion, coinciding with the recovery of more than $25 million internationally over two years.

According to the data, oversight and judicial bodies, along with the Iraqi Funds Recovery Fund, were able to recover $379 million from abroad, $13 million from French banks, $9 million from Italy, and $3 million from Lebanon, in addition to recovering 19 billion dinars domestically.

The investigations also uncovered assets and funds under surveillance in neighboring countries, including $1.45 billion in Syria, $700 million in Jordan, and $193 million in Turkey. Rewards ranging from 5% to 10% were offered to informants and collaborators.

  1. Hi Mnt. Goat,

I saw your currency chart today (August 29th) and had a question about the 250 and 500 notes being noted as “obsoleted”. I have some of these notes and was hoping you could clarify the future outlook of these notes, as I was hoping I could hold them indefinitely. Obsoleted worries me. Thanks in advance!

    Like

    1. You obviously did not read about the larger notes in the US and how they handle them in the past when they went obsolete. I tried to make a comparison but I can’t force you to read. You have to do it on your own. That’s why I have a blog. “obsolete” means they won’t be printing anymore nor will they
by in common circulation, as time goes on they will be just collectors’ notes.

Hold them indefinitely? Indefinitely is a strong word….. 😦 I heard of some very weird ideas but your idea takes the cake. Why? Like I said a thousand times our 3 zero notes will be able to be exchanged, what more do you want? If you hang on to them and wait a long time to exchange (if ever) you will have difficulties. So why are you in the investment? Are you just a collector or an investor? Not a good idea. Not saying they won’t be good but the banks will have to research and that will take time. Also years from now all the banks may not want them. Get to the bank and get rid of them while the irons HOT. Make some money, honey! ….lol..lol..lol.. Get it? What more can I say. Thanks for the question.

Mnt Goat ANSWER: I find it very sad that I bring all the news of the RV, Reinstatement and of the corruption within the WEF and UN and how it is affecting US politics. These politics effect everything yet all one of my readers could comment on is to ask about the China contract rate? Why can’t you understand that it is all interconnected? Sorry I told everyone that I would only archive 8 newsletters and now it’s only 2 and so pay attention to the policy. The information has ben deleted off the archive already as it was a June 2023 newsletter. Remember also that you are NOT getting involved with any contract with China. It is the US Treasury that is allowing you to partake in a special program that piggybacks off the oil contracts with China. I can’t keep repeating myself over and over again. Sorry! 😦

Really MG , that’s how your going too spin it ! I knew it was with the US Treasury and with a possible cap of 700 thousand dinar’s at $26.00 per dinar. I also knew it was a piggyback deal off the oil contracts with China and too ask about it when we exchange our money. The issue I was concerned about before you assumed I was too insensitive and incompetent too all you talk about was there a specific name or something else to refer to when the time comes. However you choose too manipulate my question too lecture me and push another agenda. Ma’am I will pray for peace and whatever is needed for your heart. I truly believe your a good person and mean well by all, but TRUST ME your wrong about me and my intentions on all you work so hard too provide us! God bless you and your family

QUESTION: Hi, I am new to this and wanted to know what do you recommend reading to better understand what to do when at the bank and to get the best return?

Mnt Goat Answer: What you can do at the bank to get the best return is to know what you are up against when you walk into the bank that day to exchange. I am talking about having some knowledge of how the banking system works and how the exchange process will work. Knowledge is LEVERGE & POWER! Get it?

So you know, there are two contracts for oil between the US Treasury between China and Vietnam. Both of these contract rates may not be offered to you as you will have to ask for them. How do you do this?

Here is a typical conversation as to how the exchange may work. I have exchanged Euros to Dollars and Dollars to Euros many times but never in such large amounts. So here is what may be a typical encounter at the bank. Don’t be intimidated. It’s your money.

Scenario: Assuming 2 mill IQD. Lesser amounts may be handled more easily at the teller window. Just ask. I cannot tell you each banks policy. You might want to make a prior appointment with the bank if you have large sums of multiple currencies to exchange.

Bank: How can we help you today?

You: I am here to do a simple exchange of foreign currency to US dollars.

Bank: How much currency do you have? From what country?

You: (you tell what you have and amounts. Might want to list them out at home on a sheet of paper and hand over the list to them now.)

Bank: Do you already have an account at this bank?

    You: No,

Bank: We will have to first open an account. I cannot release that much $$$ to you today. You must deposit it in the bank.

You: How much cash can I take out of the bank today?

Bank: You will be able to withdrawal up to xxx amount today, if you wish.

You: How do we get started with the exchange? What are the rates?

Bank: Please give me your first currency and I will count and validate it. (this should be done in front of you immediately. Do not let them overnight the currency and then let you know tomorrow or in a few days)

You: Here is the first currency

Bank: (verifies and validates the currencies) Here is my count. The bank can offer rate xx. Do you still want to exchange it?

You: Please tell me your best rate for the IQD.

Bank: What do you plan to do with the money?

You: I plan to leave xxx amount in your bank and to invest it within your bank and some to leave liquid in savings and checking accounts. I want to pay off some bills. What can you offer me for your savings and checking account rates?

Bank: I can offer a savings rate of x% if you leave at least xxx amount in the account. I can offer a checking account rate of x% if you leave at least xxx amount in the account.

    You: Oh..okay thanks.

Bank: The IQD market rate today is $3.86 (for example only)

You: Oh.. I heard there is a special project between the US Treasury and China (Vietnam) to broker Iraqi oil. Can I partake in this program?

    Bank: Yes,

You: What is the rate? Do you offer any perks?

Bank: Let me look it up…..its $28.50 (IQD) up to 20 million dinar only. Would you like to take advantage of it?

    You: Yes,

Bank: Prepares the paperwork and gives a sheet for you to sign with all the details of the exchange and account number that the money will be credited to and cash you will be taking with you. The banker then gives you a folder with the perks you can take advantage of. Some of the perks will cost you money, some are free. You will get a debit card(s) for the accounts

    You: You sign it.

Bank: Takes your currency and paperwork and banker signs it too. Note there will also probably be a witness at the bank that will also sign it.

Banker gets up and goes to the teller window. Comes back in a few minutes. Here is your deposit slip and the cash you requested (if any).

    You: Thank You.

Repeat process for another currency, if any.

You do not need to open a separate account for each currency unless you want to and need to. Many people will separate the proceeds for tax reasons but personally I will not be doing this as I not think this is necessary since I will have the paperwork from the bank and the deposit slips for each separate currency as proof, if needed later. Hang to these receipts for a very long time. You will need these receipts later for many possible reasons:

    1. to prove where you got such large sums of money so quickly from (if the govt or another bank asks).

2.for state and federal tax purposes

Bank: Goes to teller and gets the cash you requested

    You: Thank You

Bank: Would you like to take advantage of our financial management sand estate planning services?

    You: Yes,

Bank: Let me set you up with an appointment today (or they will call you later to set up appointment)

You: Thank You and you walk out.

    1. Good evening, Mtn Goat,
Thank you for all your hard and dedicated work in bringing us the most up to date news regarding our RV. So just to make sure I understand the oil contract agreement, we can buy up to 20 million dinar for the contracts and turn around and exchange them for $28.50 per dinar? Am I correct in my thinking. Please do not put me down and try to humiliate me like you have in the past for asking a ‘I don’t understand’ question.

  11. This is exciting WOW news…. Thank you!!!

My concerns are with Points #2 & #3 of the RV process.

Point #2 says, “There will be a deadline to turn them in and then they will be null and void in Iraq afterwards so they citizens must turn them in within the deadline or lose out”

Point #3 says, “where the citizens turn in their 3 zero notes in exchange for the newer lower denominations. This can only be done at special bank windows now being set up for this process in Iraq.”

Sorry if you have to repeat yourself but how can non-Iraqi citizen investors be assured that we won’t be barred from exchanging the currency notes we currently hold? The Iraqi people will be required to exchange their notes for the new lower denomination within a certain period if time or the notes will become worthless. What if this deadline passes and the CBI hasn’t allow us foreign currency holders to exchange our 3 zero notes? Can we be stuck with worthless notes?

Lastly, I’ve read that some citizens have been paid HCL funds. Is this true?

    Thank you

  14. Hello Mountain Goat! I have followed you for many years now and it seems that we are finally at the end of this roller coaster. The many dinar gurus out there have no clue whatsoever what is going on in Iraq and UST. The news have been overwhelming lately with PM Mohammed Shia al-Sudani brushing shoulder with high ranking officials at the UN General Assembly meeting. It is always interesting to read about your CBI contact. According to your contact at the CBI they will redomenate the dinar PRIOR to the end of the year. And your opinion is that the reinstatement then will follow automaticallly in January 2024. QUESTION: Will they release the new category notes at the end of December? Or will this happen late November early December? I also wonder when the re-education will start. I hope very soon. Maybe the date -January 1, 2024 – coincides with the reinstatement of the dinar? If they have such issues with the dollar – why wait till January 1 next year? Maybe this is the tell tale sign for the reinstatement MG. Hope you can clarify my questions. Thank you for your diligent research and time you spend in order to inform us dinarians.

A reader mentioned a good point about possibly cutting back on your offerings (Articles, Politics – I appreciate both these sections, but in the interest of saving time, it might be wise), and by using a different pay system you would have more funds arriving, hopefully saving considerably on fees. Especially from us Canadians where we are already with a weaker dollar (contrived I’m sure).

Community – Zelle, which I know nothing about, might be cheap/free, but we usually get what we pay for – meaning there could be lack of security, lack of _ _ _ _ _ , etc.
Personally, I will not use p-pal, BUT – I SIMPLY FIND A FRIEND OR RELATIVE WHO HAS ALREADY USED P-PAL, AND PAY THEM TO THEN TRANSFER THE FUNDS FOR ME.

Will this new disaster (war) be the next excuse not to RI. The deep state is pulling out all the stops and are pushing war with Iran, etc. This of course will be their excuse to meddle in the next election. It never ends.

I don’t mean to be negative but it just seems that as long as this corrupt administration is in power we will not see any RI, RV or whatever you want to call it.

β€œThis woman RUNS an entire business…” what’s your point? MG writes a newsletter, people send her money for the service…she’s getting paid, no? Enough with the angry defense of MG. I think she can take care of herself.

Are you one of people who suggested she not include the politics section? So she can put a newsletter out more quickly? I hope not because that would fly in the face of how you scolded me.

Of course I wondered about the newsletter but I also know that she’s busy. Surprise!

MG may be be “paid” but trust, it’s not enough. Or else it wouldn’t have to be mentioned. And unless you’re giving her the cost alone, to cover those calls to her contact, you shouldn’t even be mentioning it. Making a donation is the least one can do. Truth be told if she were on YouTube w her info she’d be making far more and wouldn’t have to ask, but I digress.

If YOU don’t believe the RV will happen anytime soon, then you may need something else to do until it does. We all know about the war that just happened: What do you want MG to do about it?

If MG feels the need to shorten her newsletter then she will come up w the solution to that. Simple. What I want or don’t want doesn’t matter. I’m not the author.

  21. Hi Mtn. Goat, I have a question with regards to the citizens of Iraq hoarding money in their homes. Are they hoarding the US Dollar or the Dinar. I would think that they would want the US dollar as the Dinar just isn’t worth anything and with the Dollar, they can travel etc. and no issues. I can’t think of why they would want to hoard the Dinar. If they are mainly hoarding the Dollar, then I don’t see any issues or concerns regarding this as it would relate to the Parallel market and the 2% that the two markets need to be at for 90 days. So… what are your thoughts on the hoarding? Do you have any knowledge of the hoarding being mainly in US Dollar or the Iraqi Dinar? Thanks So Much…

    1. Ummm… I kind of think you need to read Mountain Goats news letter with comprehension. Never once did she refer to US citizens hoarding money. She was referring to Iraqi citizens who hoard the dinar in their homes (mattresses). It’s the Iraqi banks that want citizens to open bank accounts. Also, offering 7% interest on savings account is huge for Iraqi citizens. Wish our governemnts would do that here. I am not sure how you ended up piecing the US into this.

  23. Hi MG:

Thank you for bringing such important and truthful information and the always appreciated updates from your CBI contact about the re-education process. This was music to my ears.

Concerning the re-education process, you said, “The re-education about the newer lower denominations will execute beginning in November.” For clarification, will the re-education begin in the month of November or in the beginning of November (first part of the month)?

Also, what about the HCL? If they want to go to Forex in January and have been educating and preparing the public with the re-education campaign but the HCL isn’t passed, how will that work? The HCL, like the budget, may take a long time to pass. Could this drag on until the HCL is passed?

    Thank you – Gavin

  24. I ccannot really understand why CBI now considers to delay the reinstatement of the dinar. Iraq now enjoys security and stability like never before. Iraq now have a golden opportunity to release the new small category notes due to the stability in the country. Why is CBI so worried about a war far away that has nothing to do with Iraq? It seems that they want to find an excuse so that they dont have to raise the value of the dinar. Maybe corruption still lingers in CBI? There is a war on in Gaza – ground troops have invaded the Gaza strip – but this does not concern Iraq. Why must every duck be in a row in order to release the new small category notes? It seems that Iraq now wait for an escalation of the war so that they dont have to go international at all. If Iraq does not raise the value of the dinar very soon – they will go down the abyss and the world will reject Iraq and heavy sanctions will be imposed so that they cannto go international for 20 years. Is this the future they want. PM Sudani braggs every week that the dinar will soon be the strongest currency in the world and the pillar of middle east

    1. Merely Low-level employee chatter. Gaza holds no stake to Iraq’s future. Keep in mind Iran gave the order for the GAZA attack. Does anyone really believe Iraq would delay reconstruction over Gaza? This government places neighborly alliances far below clinging to power. Reconstruction insures their place. Consider the 3-year budget and not a “Fil” has been dispensed [yeah small loans against the revenue allotments have been dispensed]. They [IMF] are holding the budget up for the revalue. Public education will soon happen, in fact that’s all you need watch for at this point. From our standpoint its not complicated.

  25. It does not make sense to me that CBI is waiting with the monetary reform and delay it all after so many years preparation and education of the citizens. Why is it so important for Iraq that Hamas must first be defeated by Israel until CBI can move on with the monetary reform. This does not make sense to me at all. They have a three year budget in the can waiting to be dispensed. Iraq will crumble as a nation if they dont move on with the monetary reform. Think about the thousands and thousands of foreign investors who know about the monetary reform. Iraq will go down the abyss if they dont raise the value of the dinar very soon and release the new small category notes. Surely CBI and also PM Muhammad Shia Al Sudani are no fools. But this is the middle east. I follow every article from Iraq and I think they will go on with the monetary reform in spite of the war in Gaza. God is in control – this will absolutely go down very soon in Iraq. Just imagine if they dont raise the value of the dinar. The citizens will be pissed and riots in the streets will take over. This is my take MG!

  26. IN THE COMING DAYS! Oh, how I fervently pray it is so, had to read the CBI contact report several times and it is still bouncing around in my head , I’m in shock!

I appreciate your position on politics , and the social agenda of destroying the core of America- the family – and agree . It will fail. Interesting incident- I live in Mississippi, fairly conservative, even in democratic districts, – happened to me meet a family that recently relocated here from Washington state, liberal destruction going on there they say like third world , drug legalization is destroying the population and getting worse. Another thing I am noticing is the push , especially on YouTube, to get folks on hand out programs – insurance scams , financial handouts, getting people dependent on government, essentially buying votes. Personally I would rather work than be a slave to liberal handouts.

Thanks for the great news – IN THE COMING DAYS! HALLELUJAH

  27. Hi MG,
I am hoping you can shed some light on my lack of comprehension on the total mechanics of handling the purchase of the oil contracts from the bank. Let’s say I purchase 20 million in oil contracts which is the limit, what is the process, how do I exchange my oil contracts to US dollars after I purchase? I apologize for not being able to get a handle on this whole processing, but know you are the only one who can make sense of this transaction to me. I understand so far, that when I sell my oil contracts, $20,000,000 x $28.50 = ? Thank you MG for all your patience and know I wish you and your family the Happiest Thanksgiving ever.

    1. Good evening Mountain Goat. Could you please direct us to a place we can research the subject of the ‘oil contracts’ we might have an opportunity to purchase when we see this RV come to fruition. I have looked everywhere to get any information and come up with nothing. Nobody seems to know what I am talking about. Please send me in the right direction so I’ll be a bit more educated when I go to the bank. Thank you in advance for all your hard work and dedication to making our life’s a bit more meaningful and enjoyable.

  29. Hi MG:

What if the CBI continues to liberate the Dinar and de-dollarize but the U.S. doesn’t take them off of the OFAC sanctioned list, then I’m assuming they cannot be actively listed on Forex?

Also, as for Al-Sudani explaining that the dinar in the β€œcoming days” will be greater that the dollar, did he say this recently? It seems like we would have heard more about it. Did you CBI friend send you Al-Sudani’s video?

Lastly, your CBI contact said Iraq’s accession into the WTO would be announced last week or this week. Have you heard anything on their assentation?

I appreciate everything you do and don’t mean to challenge you but wanted to follow-up on these important topics.

So much WOW news!!! I’ll be relieved and ready to chill the champagne in mid-December when the lower denominations come out.

Frank26 provided a video that apparently Iraq just recently put out advertising that the Dinar is about to become stronger very soon. Do you think this is a legitimate advertisement?

It’s hard with Iraq and today’s news is disappointing. You feel like you can never allow yourself to get excited or optimistic. Plus, the corrupt and Iran are working against Iraq to change in ways that help the citizens and the country.

Did your CBI contact have anything to say about the Frank26 video? Do you know the agency that supposedly put it out and if it is legitimate?

    Thank you – Gavin

  39. So everything is now on hold again as american bases are being attacked almost daily in Iraq. I wonder why it is so very important to have 100 % security and stability in Iraq before they can reinstate the dinar. It seems that Iran want to delay/stop the reinstatement at all cost. So far they have succeeded. If the reinstatement of the dinar now is irreversible why is everything on hold? What happen if Iran continues to bomb us bases everyday – every week into next year? Is CBI still so corrupt that they now have an excuse not to reinstate the dinar? It seems so. Then we are in real trouble.

  40. It doesn’t seem to me that the issue of US bases would be a sense of delay. The reports following seem to indicate the issue is resolved. Now considering regional elections, well that might explain a temporary, short-term delay. I thought voting was to complete Saturday. I didn’t realize it was a multiday event with Monday being the general public vote. The result baring any voting glitches is supposed to be known in 24 hours. This regional election was kind of unexpectedly pushed upon Iraq being squeezed into the arena of scheduling. As a result, I wonder if the education process for currency reorganization is held back a couple days until after the election results are known. Considering that both of these events are major, I feel that public focus would be paramount. So perhaps currency instructions begin after the election process is over with. We will find out, but it is possible. Maybe they even shorten the timeframe of the education process to a week.
