April 23, 2026 Mnt Goat News Brief

Guten Tag everyone:

The RV saga continues with the election cycle. There were meetings to decide on the new nominee scheduled for Sunday, Monday, then Wednesday. Well, well wouldn’t you know it last night’s meeting delivered nothing…. Go figure… the clock is ticking and ends Sunday 4/26. Will they string it out right to the very end? We have to remember that this is just not another election cycle. Can’t you feel it too. There is a huge change in the wind coming for Iraq that will come out of all this stagnation. Sometimes we have to suffer to it to get to it… Watch it play out.

STATUS OF THE RV

It is a beautiful day here in the Bavarian Alps. The sky is clear blue and weather is warming up nicely. The snowcapped mountains are melting, and the streams are clear and fresh. Spring has truly sprung. Let’s get to the news for this period of the Newsletter. Again, I have to put out a special THANK YOU to all who contribute to show their appreciation for all the hard work I do in bringing this news to you. Again, I say I am concerned about the TRUTH not hype, rumors or speculation.

In today’s news there are rays of sunshine too as we get closer to the end of Iranian Islamic terrorist regime. Just learn patience as Rome was not built in a day…lol..lol.. There is a very calculated strategy here being played out with Iran and you can’t rush it. The US is already in phase 2 of the strategy. There will be some major changes in Iraq too in this regard once this strategy is fully completed.

In a quick update about the Iraqi election saga, we learn that the meetings that were supposed to decide on the prime minister candidate this week did not result in selecting a new nominee for the position. We are told the deadline is this weekend and the end to constitutional clock is nearing.

In the article from yesterday Wednesday is titled “TONIGHT’S DECISION… THE COORDINATING FRAMEWORK IS MOVING TOWARDS FINALIZING THE PRIME MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE IN ITS MEETING TODAY” MP Sakr Al-Muhammadawi, from the Sadiqun bloc, revealed on Wednesday the latest developments regarding the anticipated meeting of the leaders of the coordination framework, scheduled to be held tonight to decide on a candidate for the position of Prime Minister.

“Al-Muhammadi told Shafaq News, as reported by Kalima News, that the meeting will be held on schedule without postponement, stressing that all parties are waiting for the framework decision to determine the name of the candidate”.

It’s Thursday morning and well, well the meeting was postponed again….. go figure…..

__________________________

In this next article we can clearly see the dangers of the delay in the election and its ramifications on the government and the progress of the country as a whole, thus our RV too. The temporary caretaker government of Al-Sudani can not put the 2026 budget together. This now makes two years that Iraq has not had a budget. Is something grossly dysfunctional on how they process elections? The article title is “PARLIAMENT PREEMPTS THE DECISION ON THE PRIME MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE… RASHID: THERE WILL BE NO BUDGET FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, 2026.”

MP Ahmed Hama Rashid stated to the Iraqi National News Agency ( NINA ), “There is no budget for the current year, 2026, because the draft budget law must be prepared by mid-May 2025 and there is no government to do it. Therefore, there will be no budget law for the current year.”

__________________________

Again, I will emphasize that this problem with the elections occurs because of two reasons: the first reason is we find a major flaw in the election process as a whole for Iraq. The process flaw is in finding the ‘majority block’. Two many parties are able to run for election and this criteria must be changed. Iraq must address the issue of elections from the ground up beginning with the taking of the popular vote.

I will also emphasize that in the future there must be some sort of criteria to even allow many of these so-called parties to qualify to run in the election in the first place. Yes, this is at the root of the problem and allows the corruption right from the beginning of the process. For instance, there must be some sort of cap to allow them even run on the ballot, such as the number of votes they received in the last elections. Leaving the voting process the way it is allows the dispersion of the votes to too many ‘opinions” and thus will never allow any candidate to get a majority of the popular vote, thus realistically satisfy the candidate the people really want to run their country.

Instead, this process allows for monkey business/horse trading in deciding the majority block that can decide who is going to form and run the next government. Is this fair to the people? The way works today a majority block can be formed taking thousands of votes combined from ill-fated parties whose voting can be pro-Iranian groups such as from the militias, who are allowed to votes, believe it or not. The congregate overrides any one party’s votes by combining them to form the majority block. There seems to be no rewards for any politicians that made major accomplishments for the Iraqi people in the prior government but rather for Iran (we see in pushing al-Sudani out).

And the second reason is if you showed anything in your past position in the government that was not pro-Iranian or betrayed the pro-Iranian Shiites, you don’t stand a chance of being part of the next government. You can see how this method slowly eliminates any real patriots of Iraq but rather builds a government eventually surrounded only by Iranian loyalists. It does not take very many election cycles to come to this point of no return and Iraq is now just about there, thus this current election process is all about the final straw. Are there enough Iraq patriots to break this Iranian hold on Iraq?

The aftermath of this flawed process is that the average citizen has very little say in the process. This is not a true democrat process by any means. As we have witnessed in the past and present elections with the Coordination Framework forming the majority block and the inability for the block to nominate a new prime minister, that this current process simply is not working. The process needs to be all inclusive of the people’s popular vote and allow for the selectin of a nominee directly by the people, one that will work for the people and not be horse traded away. The idea that the Coordination Framework could even possibly nominate Nouri al-Maliki once again shows us just how broken the process really is. This of course is not just an opinion of mine but shared by many in the Trump administration of constituents.

It is also flagrantly obvious that this entire election process in Iraq has been so far so bold, and right in our faces, about an attempt for more Iranian control. Even an idiot can see it.

So, we can be on the look out for some major shakeups in this area in the near future in this election process as the US has already met with the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council (like the US Supreme Court) and it has rendered it’s ruling on this issue of how a majority block should be formed according to the constitution. It was, of course, just ignored. We are already hearing rhetoric from Washington in this direction of fixing it.

__________________________

This next article just about sums up Washington’s vies of what happening in Iraq. It is title “THE NEW YORK TIMES: THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS DEMANDING THE NOMINATION OF A NEW PRIME MINISTER FOR IRAQ”. In it the newspaper New York Times revealed, that the administration of US President Donald Trump  calls for the nomination of a new prime minister for Iraq,” adding, “America has halted security cooperation with Iraq this includes training and financial support. The official added, Washington it suspended its support and funding for Iraqi security forces until a new prime minister is elected and one that the US can work with. There is also still an issue with the militia PMF forces that must be resolved.

Did you know that part of the aid the US was giving to Iraq went towards paying salaries to the Iranian Qud forces militia stationed inside Iraq. These are the same forces along with infiltrated terrorists organizations that are bombing and sending missiles at US bases in Iraq? Honestly can anything be more insane. Is the US out of their minds? Yes, there are many reasons why this aid must stop for good. Stop using it as a carrot instead just cut it off. The US still has plenty more leverage with the DFI fund transfers to support any Iraq budget.

__________________________

😊 In the following article titled “US BLOCKS REGULAR $500 MILLION CASH PALLETS FLOWN TO IRAQ, OVER PRO-IRAN MILITIAS” we read of a confirmation of some early reporting in The Wall Street Journal that has verified something that Iraqi officials themselves were denying just days ago: the US is blocking Iraq’s regular dollar shipments in order to pressure it’s Iran-backed militias.  This has already been going since February when Trump gave Iraq his last warning about these militia in Iraq. “The Trump administration has suspended U.S. dollar shipments to Iraq and frozen security cooperation programs with its military, escalating the pressure on Baghdad to dismantle powerful Iranian-backed militias

I have to ask why is the US still send any aid to Iraq. What is in it for the US citizen, yet the taxpayer paying for all this aid? Where is our investment going in the dinar? When will Iraq actually be made accountable for all this aid money and the cost of the war? While Iraq takes in billions each month in oil revenues and piles up cash in their reserves what does the US have to show for helping them gain their independence if you can even all it that.

In this regard you might also want to read the following article on this subject matter to get more details. It is titled “THE BILL FOR THE NEW REGIME: WILL WASHINGTON TURN DOLLAR SHIPMENTS INTO A “VETO” THAT SHAPES THE FEATURES OF THE NEXT STAGE?”

For his part, Anwar Al-Alwani, an advisor and member of the Progress Party, says that “economic alternatives and solutions between Baghdad and Washington require a good relationship with the American side,” explaining that “Washington is responsible for the flow of dollars, and therefore any dispute or setback in the relationship between Baghdad and Washington will harm the country’s interest in general, and especially the Iraqi citizen, especially in light of the financial and economic challenges that followed the events between Iran, America and Israel.”

Next, we read more about this topic of what has been going on in Iraq since the past in the article titled “THE US OVERTHROW OF BAATHIST SUNNI SADDAM HUSSEIN EFFECTIVELY HANDED THE COUNTRY OVER TO PRO-TEHRAN LEADERSHIP”.

— Al Mayadeen English (@MayadeenEnglish) April 22, 2026

“Currently the Coordination Framework (CF), which is the largest Iran-aligned parliamentary bloc of Shia parties, is racing to pick a new prime minister for the country – but reportedly neither of the two main candidates are acceptable to Washington”. Just so you now this article is referring to Maliki and Badri not Maliki and Sudani as many of these stupid intel gurus are telling you.

There’s a huge lasting irony to the Iraq war and the Bush-Cheney legacy. The US overthrow of Baathist Sunni Saddam Hussein effectively handed the country over to pro-Tehran leadership. Was this just stupidity or intentional? And the US has been dealing with the fallout in the region from the ‘Shia axis’ ever since. Of course the war with ISIS did not help either and just gave a con-job to the Iraqi people in letting thousands of Iranian Qud forces inside Iraq to fight ISIS and never left. Someone has to clean up this mess in the middle east left by Bush-Cheney, Obama and Maliki legacies.

__________________________

In the ongoing conflict with Iran we get an update of the block aid. Now everyone needs to remember that the ceasefire required Iran to allow ships to pass through the strait. Just a day later Iran fired on ships passing through. The US block aid included any incoming vessel delivering weapons, ammo or missiles to Iran, go figure why…. Also any out going tankers delivering oil from Iran. How long can this economic block aid continue before the Iranian economy is in shambles. IN the article titled “THE US MILITARY ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF 29 SHIPS AS PART OF THE NAVAL BLOCKADE AGAINST IRAN.” We learn the US Central Command announced on Wednesday that it had turned back 29 Iranian vessels that attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that reports of three vessels crossing in the past 24 hours were inaccurate. The command said in a statement that “US forces have ordered 29 ships to return to port or turn back as part of the US embargo on Iran.”

Next I want to bring you some news from my blog. It appears that there are still some doubters about this investment in the Iraq dinar.

EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS AND WATCH THE VIDEO THAT FOLLOWS:

Mnt Goat: With my knowledge and study of the revaluation of the Iraq dinar I do not think, but I know, this dinar is going to revalue soon and it will revalue under the Trump administration. All Chapter VII sanctions are gone as well as all other obstacles except one including the OFAC sanctions which limits trading of the IQD, meaning it is not yet on FOREX or other currency trading platforms. This is the last step and this step is going to happen soon as it has to for the Trump plan for Iraq to get investors flocking into Iraq. I am not saying it will happen tomorrow but my CBI contact recently told me they are already conducting the re-education phase to make citizens aware that this removing of the zeros is coming. Why would they do this now again? My contact is on the committee to roll out the lower denominations when this even occurs.

Do not get discouraged and hang on to your dinar. Next, I want to present someone who came into the blog and comments about the RV happening and their negativity about the rate that many bankers have recently seen popping up on secured screens for potential changes to currencies. These screen are very restricted so normal bank personnel do not have access to them. Yes, there are a list of currencies on it, some devaluing and other with huge increases. Could this be the ‘reset’ and the putting of currencies on a’ level playing field’ that Trump keeps talking about? Please also watch the video that follows. It is talks about the dinar and exactly where we are today with it.

Statement from pdt4146 on the blog:

“we already know the rate of exchange for our dinars will be about $4.80 per dinar outside the country of Iraq“. Ive read the process over the last 14 years many times, unfortunately . I still cant believe Dis-functional Iraq could have the most valued currency in the world. imo Patrick

Statement from Mnt Goat:

Gutten Tag pdt4161, LISTEN TO ME! Instead of over thinking this Iraqi IQD value with your own hype and discouragement, why not look at the FACTS! Spend the time doing your ownn research. If you are too busy or lazy than listen to those that have, get it? Right now, and I mean right now, today you can go on FOREX and see the trends for the Kuwaiti dinar 1 KWD is equal to $3.24 USD. Yes, the KWD is the strongest currency in the world. Take a look at the assets of Iraq as they more than double that of Kuwaiti. Yes, Iraq right next door to Kuwait. Why would anyone doubt that the IQD could possibly come out on a reinstatement at $4.80. I don’t get the ignorance.

I got you beat by 8 years, yes over 22 years in my investment of the dinar and not once have I said such negative bullshit. You know I am so sick and tired of bashers of this investment. I go to extreme measures to try to teach my viewers the TRUTH, yes the TRUTH, and people like you come on and trash us serious investors who have been studying this IQD for over 23 years. Really now, how about listening to us for a change.

Yes, do your own research or just sit back, listen to us and shut the hell up!

NATO CONTRACTOR GIVES HIS PERSPECTIVE ABOUT THE IRAQI DINAR

Conversations with Guy Ventresca about the Iraqi dinar. Guy was a US Army officer during the Cold War, he transitioned from the military to the blossoming I.T. industry by joining Wang Labs and their Federal Systems Division, as account manager for NATO forces in West Germany and West Berlin. Returning to the US in 1991, he lived in Washington D.C. for seven years, working for different government contractors in the Defense and Civilian sectors, again experiencing how procurement and contracting are the heart of various power centers.

Just to let everyone know a statement made in this video I absolutely do not agree with. The statement says that war was the only alternative and it is the industrial complex that gears up and moves in without hesitation. But Guy forgets that sanctions over Iran have tried over and over for the past 20 years to eliminate the nuclear development and simply did not work. This is not Trump’s war but a mess he inherited to complete.

Even the first bombings and severe sanctions under the Trump administration seem to not work. Remember also Hamas attacks on Israel on Oct 7th were funded by Iran who had openly told the world it would ‘kill every Jew on the plant’. Sound familiar? Also, it has openly stated many times ‘death to America’. Sound familiar again?

Are these fighting words or what? So, are we just supposed to sit back and let them roll over us with a threat of a nuclear warhead if we don’t do what they want in the middle east. Seems to me this change in regime is way over due.

When you are dealing with Islamic extremists you must fight fire with fire as they do not understand terms of peace. They just can’t see for some reason why peace is a better a solution. It is a dark cult of extremist. Even the bible says that at times like this we must defend ourselves. There is no sin in defending. They force war upon themselves as their lie after lie shows us they are incapable of fair and honest negotiations, which we all can see now from these past couple weeks.

_____________________________________

Let’s keep our prayers going. I believe we are closer than ever for the dinar to get reinstated. But first things first. By now everyone should be fully aware of these events that caused delays in the currency reform process. This is not rocket science to understand.

Again, please remember that I spend a lot of time putting together these Newsletters for you not me. I already know this stuff. This is for you! I am trying to give you HOPE that this investment is real and is going to happen. Please consider helping out and show me you care for all that I do for you. 😊

What do you think will happen next? (Leave a comment)

Their words not mine…..No Rumors, No Hype, No Opinions ,,,,,

                                             Just the FACTS!

These prophecies are more important now more than ever. They give us the strength, perseverance and hope that a better time is coming and that God’s Hand is at work behind the scenes. If you just take a second even to look around you at these past three election cycles, how can you deny that God is at work? Are you sleeping or what?

It is amazing and there is no other way that these events could have happened the way they turned out. But there is more to come, much, much more, I assure you! Now that God has his biblical David re-elected, we need to pay attention to what He does next.

NOTE: These prophecies just keep getting better and better, giving us HOPE of a brighter future. But the real reason why I listen to them is that we can actually see what God says He will do is taking place right in front of our noses. It is a confirmation to me that God is real and is still with us forever just as in biblical times.

Prophetic Words from the prophets:  Julie Green

“More Governments Will Be Shattered ”

Go to the 13:18 mark for the prophecy. From April 18th.

This is a reassuring one of great hope!

“The Two Tiered Justice System Will Collapse ”

Go to the 13:25 mark for the prophecy. Heard on April 18th

Prophetic Words from the prophets:  Hank Kunneman

“GOD IS OVERRIDING TERM LIMITS”

Let me add that my personal view of this prophecy may not mean what our first impression may be from the title. Could God give Trump a third term? Could God finally help to establish Constitutional term limits upon the Senate members? It may these are the issues God is going to fix but even if God does not go this far this is still an amazing prophecy. Let me explain.

What God may be saying is that he will decide term limits by eliminating the corrupt and the riff from Congress and the Senate right now. Yes, he will establish His own terms limits for them. There could be a number of factors that will make this happen. The first is that He already told us of the Angle of Death (Exodus 12:23) is coming again and will take many members of both houses. The second is that He told us the elections will be cleaned up, thus many will lose their seats in the upcoming election cycles.

From April 14th.

Fr. DON BOSCO EXPOSED THE DARK SECRET BEHIND ISLAM

— And the Truth the World Forgot about the so-called Muslim religion. Fr.Don Bosco, also known as John Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest and educator, born on August 16, 1815. He founded the Salesian Society in 1859 to help disadvantaged youth,  particularly boys, through education and community service. His teachings emphasized lovekindness, and the importance of education for young people, making him a beloved figure in Catholicism and a patron saint of youth. Don Bosco was canonized in 1934.

THIS IS BREATHTAKING

It’s what we haven’t yet exposed that really worries me too.

Acting AG Todd Blanche Announces Indictment Against The Southern Poverty Law Center.

THE TALKS BETWEEN THE U.S. AND IRAN ARE GOING NOWHERE IN A HURRY AFTER ALMOST 2 WEEKS.

IT’S TIME FOR ACTION AND NO MORE TALKING. What does Trump have up his sleeve in saying the cease fire will be extended? Why is he now playing for time?

THIS WOULD BRING THE IRANIAN REGIME TO AN END…

THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL WITH THE UNITED NATIONS (UN), CAN YOU NOW SEE IT TOO?

The prophets tell us that the UN will leave NYC or better yet will be kicked out. This issue with NATO not supporting the US in Iran is the beginning of the end of the UN. When I first listened to this prophecy years ago I wondered how this could ever happen. But slowly I can clearly see the case why this might happen. The Trump administration is dismantling the UN bit by bit.

Remember Trump’s speech at the UN during his first term? Many in the audience smirked and laughed at him. Then during his second term (they thought he would never have) during his speech no one was laughing. They shut off his microphone and stopped the escalator. His is all symbolic on how they are trying to stop his movement. They see the defeat and exposure of this corrupt organization.

AUSTRALIA TOO IS HIT BY LACK OF COMMON SENSE AND RATIONALITY

The communist cult is still pushing ‘insane’ climate change agenda. This what is destroying our societies. Wake up to the FACTS!

LEBANESE WOMAN EXPOSES ISLAM

Most people don’t know real history and that’s part of the problem. For instance, was picking the date of 9/11 for the NYC terrorist attack coincidental? Was the US government involved some way in the 9/11 attack? Was the 1979 movement in Iran under the radical Islamic Jahad coincidental? Who was really behind this power transfer?

How is this all related to the current war with Iran? Will any peace treaty with Israel and the US ever work in the long run?

DO THEY THINK WE ARE STUPID? MAYBE WE ARE!

WHAT THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO HEAR ABOUT HAMAS & RADICAL ISLAM.

They are hiding the TRUTH from Americans on what the real cause of the Iranian war is all about. The nuclear stuff is just a weapon they pose to use to kill us. They are afraid that if they did tell the entire TRUTH it would gain too much popular support for the US and Israeli efforts to deal with Islam inside America, in the Middle East and the rest of the world. Yes, the rest of the world, especially Europe is also in denial and they too are already paying the price for ignorance and nonaction.

There are too many similarities to WW2, the Nazi movement and the refusal to believe that this is really happening.

LET’S CONTINUE ABOUT THE ISLAMIC THREAT.

How the hatred for the Christians and Jew evolved. It is time for the members of the Islamic cult (not religion) to realize they have been lied to.

HOW FAR SHOULD A COUNTRY GO TO SACRIFICE ITS NATIONAL IDENTITY AND VALUES JUST TO SATISFY A RELIGIOUS WHEN ITS CULT-LIKE ACTIVITIES CLASH?

Are you listening America?

Don’t be fooled by pressures for freedom of religion as it applies to radical Muslims.

Don’t be fooled that this is just a clash of cultures, it is much, much more that that.

Rather this is clash of ideology being used by the socialist communists to gain control over all developed countries. They are just using the Islamic movement to do it, only Islam is too dumb to see it and thinks they will be in control later. Hey… didn’t the globalists try this same ideology with Adolf Hitler only to be met with resistance by the free world once declared he was going to be the ‘supreme leader’ and not let the globalist have the spoils of war.

My question is how much corruption do they have to expose on Ihan before they finally expel her from congress?

I have created a brand-new “Post RV Workshop” page in the blog. I included my own personal tips on investing post-RV and also organizing and protecting your estate. Here is the LINK. Going forward I will only post new and exciting information and opportunities here on the Latest Newsletter as they come along. Later I will transfer it to the ‘Post RV Workshop’ page in subsequent Newsletters for your future reference.

Just so you know I absolutely DO NOT adhere to high-risk investments where you can lose it all in a flash. Look at it this way – you are going to have all this money from your dinar exchange. Then why blow it! Most of us investors waited decades for this RV to happen and so why would you even think about pissing is all away in some high-risk gamble of an investment. Yes, there are going to be scammers out there but let’s talk about legitimate investment opportunities only. These scammers can suck you dry and there is not a damned thing you can do about it.

Go to a legitimate wealth manager associated with your bank. Let the licensed experts advise you. Please, please stay away from idiots like MarkZ, TNT Tony, Bruce (on the Big Stupid Call), etc. , etc. Go to professionals. It doesn’t mean you have to follow everything they advise you but it’s a great start. Remember they too are selling investment products and get commissions.

Nothing new to report today. Please see the blog section on the other great news on this subject matter here LINK.

TONIGHT’S DECISION… THE COORDINATING FRAMEWORK IS MOVING TOWARDS FINALIZING THE PRIME MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE IN ITS MEETING TODAY.

MP Sakr Al-Muhammadawi, from the Sadiqun bloc, revealed on Wednesday the latest developments regarding the anticipated meeting of the leaders of the coordination framework, scheduled to be held tonight to decide on a candidate for the position of Prime Minister.

Al-Muhammadi told Shafaq News, as reported by Kalima News, that the meeting will be held on schedule without postponement, stressing that all parties are waiting for the framework decision to determine the name of the candidate. He added that the leaders of the framework agreed on the need to finalize the nomination process during today’s meeting, noting that if no consensus is reached, the “compromise candidate” option will be used to select the appropriate person for the position.

PARLIAMENT PREEMPTS THE DECISION ON THE PRIME MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE… RASHID: THERE WILL BE NO BUDGET FOR THE CURRENT YEAR, 2026.

The Iraqi Parliament has settled the debate regarding the fate of the draft federal budget law for the current year, 2026, amidst the ongoing crisis surrounding the nomination of a candidate for the position of Prime Minister, a matter on which political and parliamentary circles are still awaiting a resolution.

MP Ahmed Hama Rashid stated to the Iraqi National News Agency ( NINA ), “There is no budget for the current year, 2026, because the draft budget law must be prepared by mid-May 2025. Therefore, there will be no budget law for the current year.”

He explained, “Financial statements will be issued by the Ministry of Finance and sent to the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, and then approved by Parliament later.” He added, “The amended Federal Financial Management Law No. 6 of 2019 addresses this situation to facilitate the annual budget by disbursing expenditures at a rate of 1/12 of all expenditures included in the previous budget. This is a legal procedure that is in practice and adopted by Iraqi state institutions.”

Regarding the approval of the final accounts, Rashid explained that “these accounts will be based on official financial statements sent to the Federal Board of Supreme Audit, for preparation, auditing, and reconciliation.”

WALL STREET JOURNAL: WASHINGTON FREEZES $500 MILLION OF IRAQI FUNDS

The Wall Street Journal revealed on Wednesday that the United States has halted the transfer of $500 million destined for Iraq, along with freezing a number of security cooperation programs with Baghdad, in a move aimed at increasing pressure on Iranian-backed groups.

The newspaper quoted informed sources as saying that the US Treasury Department had frozen the transfer of about $500 million from Iraq’s accounts at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, funds resulting from the sale of Iraqi oil.

She explained that this shipment is the second that Washington has suspended since the start of its military operation against Iran, as part of escalating economic and security measures.

She also noted that US authorities have suspended funding for a number of training programs for Iraqi military forces and counter-terrorism units, in a move that reflects a trend to restrict security cooperation between the two countries.

According to the report, these measures are part of US efforts to pressure Baghdad and reduce its level of relations with Tehran, in light of escalating regional tensions.

The newspaper noted that Iraqi oil revenues have been deposited in accounts at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since 2003, while the United States had previously temporarily suspended cash transfers to Iraq in 2015, due to concerns that some of those funds might reach ISIS.

THE BILL FOR THE NEW REGIME: WILL WASHINGTON TURN DOLLAR SHIPMENTS INTO A “VETO” THAT SHAPES THE FEATURES OF THE NEXT STAGE?

Iraq is going through a critical phase regarding the risk of a disruption in the supply of US dollars, amid conflicting reports indicating that Washington has suspended shipments for security and political reasons, and official denials from government sources. The crux of the matter lies in the Iraqi market’s complete dependence on liquidity from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which puts the country’s financial stability at risk.

While the State of Law Coalition describes the news of the hard currency shortage as a “major rumor” aimed at political pressure, the Progress Party believes that the stability of the dollar flow is exclusively linked to the quality of the relationship with Washington, which puts the state before the challenge of balancing sovereignty and international obligations.

Big rumor

Khaled Alwan Al-Shallal, a member of the State of Law Coalition, says that “what is being circulated about the cessation of the flow of dollars from the United States to Iraq is somewhat exaggerated,” explaining that “there are strategic framework agreements between Iraq and the United States of America that guarantee the political, economic and even military situation, and therefore the country is facing a great rumor.”

He adds, “Even if there are occasional disagreements about the process of changing or delaying the flow of dollars, it does not reach the point of interrupting dollar payments or halting the wheels of the economy in Iraq to the extent that some expect.”

A senior US State Department official, as quoted by Alhurra website, said that dollar shipments to Iraq “have stopped and will not resume until the features of the new government become clear and the commitment to preventing the use of the dollar to finance attacks against Americans is verified,” stressing that what is happening “is not a break but a response.”

According to two government sources in the Iraqi cabinet, dollar shipments represent the main source of liquidity in the Iraqi market, as Iraqi oil revenues are deposited in an account with the Federal Reserve in New York. The Central Bank of Iraq and the US State Department denied that those shipments had stopped.

Al-Shallal believes that “this is like politics and its affairs are related to the existence of actual pressures on the process of forming the government and imposing external wills and agendas, but the Iraqi political situation is of a high degree of responsibility,” noting that “there are meetings between the leaders of the blocs, the latest of which was a meeting at the house of His Eminence Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, where understandings were reached at a high level, and I expect things to proceed during Wednesday, and an agreement will be reached on a specific candidate who will be announced by the coordination framework.”

cautious anticipation

A member of the State of Law Coalition believes that “the issue of the factions comes in light of a truce between the United States and Iran, with clear anticipation and caution. If the negotiations with Iran and America succeed, the situation will move towards calming down and things will proceed correctly. But if the war returns, then every incident will have its own story.”

Sources quoted an unnamed Iraqi security minister as saying that “suspending coordination meetings is harming Iraq,” noting that Washington had stipulated that those responsible for the recent attacks on the US embassy and a base at Baghdad International Airport be identified before coordination could resume.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bisent said that the United States “will not allow Iranian-backed militias to threaten American lives or interests,” while State Department spokesman Tommy Piot called on Baghdad to dismantle Iranian-linked groups, coinciding with the US Embassy issuing a Level 4 travel warning for Iraq.

According to the sources, “The message from Washington is clear: Iraq does not follow Iran.”

A necessary relationship

For his part, Anwar Al-Alwani, an advisor and member of the Progress Party, says that “economic alternatives and solutions between Baghdad and Washington require a good relationship with the American side,” explaining that “Washington is responsible for the flow of dollars, and therefore any dispute or setback in the relationship between Baghdad and Washington will harm the country’s interest in general, and especially the Iraqi citizen, especially in light of the financial and economic challenges that followed the events between Iran, America and Israel.”

He adds that “developing the relationship with Washington is a necessity for the Iraqi government,” expressing his hope that “there will be concrete steps taken by the Iraqi Foreign Ministry and the Baghdad government, while giving sufficient space for negotiation with the American side and presenting economic alternatives, in a way that contributes to getting Iraq and Iraqis out of any political conflict in the near future.”

Political solutions and channels

Al-Alwani points out that “Iraq’s financial situation is not good, and that imposing any economic sanctions by Washington in the event of a major dispute will harm the country’s higher interests,” stressing that “the interest requires all political blocs and leaders to work on finding solutions and opening political channels with the American side, as well as with neighboring countries such as Turkey and Iran, to get out of the suffocating financial crisis.”

Earlier, the US Embassy, in a statement, accused parties linked to the Iraqi government of providing “political, financial, and operational cover” for armed factions, renewing its Level 4 travel warning for Iraq, which states “do not travel for any reason,” and calling on US citizens in the country to leave immediately.

KUJER: SALARIES ARE TEMPORARILY SECURED, AND IRAQ FACES AUSTERITY OR PRINTING MONEY.

Former MP Jamal Kojar confirmed that salaries are temporarily secured, while indicating that Iraq may resort to austerity measures or printing currency in the next phase.

During his appearance on the program “On the Ruler” broadcast by Al-Furat satellite channel, Kujer said: “The dollar issue in Iraq is linked to two aspects: technical, administrative, and political.” He explained that “the currently influential aspect is the cessation of dollar shipments due to the war conditions and the disruption of air traffic, and not because of a problem with the US Federal Reserve,” noting that “no official US announcement has been issued to stop the transfer of shipments.”

He added that “the effects of the drop in oil prices will appear after three months, but the cash reserve is still better compared to previous periods,” stressing “conviction in the government’s ability to secure salaries during the next six months, given that oil revenues are received three months after the sale, with options including printing money despite the risks of inflation.”

He pointed out that “the United States is waging a solitary conflict that may have repercussions on the global economy,” indicating that “the rise in fuel prices in the American markets reflects the magnitude of the effects,” and suggesting that “it will be a limited military confrontation.”

Kujer said that “Iraq may be forced to adopt an austerity policy or resort to printing money, which requires a fully empowered government to manage the phase,” criticizing the three-year budget, describing it as “a backbreaker after it turned the planned deficit into an actual deficit that exceeded $133 billion.”

He predicted that “oil prices will continue to rise even if the war stops,” noting that “the 2026 budget may be presented in the form of a law with the possibility of adding a supplementary budget, or resorting to legislation similar to the food security law to cover emergency expenses and secure salaries.”

Regarding the National Service Law, Kujer noted that “the law is unlikely to be passed at the present time due to the lack of political consensus and clarity in its features, despite the importance of introducing it in the long term.”

US BLOCKS REGULAR $500 MILLION CASH PALLETS FLOWN TO IRAQ, OVER PRO-IRAN MILITIAS

by Tyler Durden

Wednesday, Apr 22, 2026 – 08:55 PM

In confirmation of some early reporting we featured at the start of this week, The Wall Street Journal has verified something that Iraqi officials themselves were denying just days ago: the US is blocking Iraq’s regular dollar shipments in order to pressure it’s Iran-backed militias. “The Trump administration has suspended U.S. dollar shipments to Iraq and frozen security cooperation programs with its military, escalating the pressure on Baghdad to dismantle powerful Iranian-backed militias,” said Iraqi and US officials interviewed in the report.

Pallets of cash and the Middle East should ring familiar, stretching from the Bush-Cheney years to even the Obama years (and Iran sanctions relief as part of the original nuclear deal). In this case, like with the Obama/Iran deal saga before, this is actually Iraq’s own oil revenue money.

Memory lane via CNBC: The New York Federal Reserve shipped billions of dollars in physical cash to Baghdad to pay for the reopening of the government & restoration of basic services. Much of it went missing.

In this latest case, a US military plane carrying a half-billion dollars has been delayed on its regularly scheduled delivery. “A cargo-plane delivery of nearly $500 million in U.S. banknotes, the proceeds from Iraqi oil sales from Federal Reserve Bank of New York accounts, was blocked recently by Treasury Department officials because of U.S. concerns about the militias,” WSJ continues, citing the officials.

The publication details, “It was the second scheduled shipment of dollars to the Central Bank of Iraq delayed by the U.S. since the start of the Iran war in late February, the U.S. and Iraqi officials said.”

During the height of the March fighting between Iran and Israel, several American facilities across Iraq came under attack, even including the US Embassy in Baghdad’s Green Zone. Typically, these were drones, or rocket fire, and Erbil and northern Iraq in particular came under heavy fire.

To review from the back grounder we previously featured: since 2003, a decision issued by Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) head Paul Bremer has required that all Iraqi oil revenues be paid into an account at the US Federal Reserve Bank of New York, giving the US the ability to control how many US dollars are returned to the CBI. From that point until today, the Iraqi Ministry of Finance has had to submit funding requests to the US Treasury, which then approves or denies them based on its own criteria.

This monthly transfer of US dollars, flown into Baghdad in pallets of hard cash, determines Iraq’s ability to pay for basic needs such as salaries, food, and medicine. Whenever Washington believes that Iraq is not aligned with US regional goals, including enforcing economic sanctions on Iran, Baghdad’s major trading partner and a source of natural gas for electricity production, these fund transfers can be delayed or reduced. The US halted $13 billion in annual cash shipments to Iraq to pressure Baghdad to act against Resistance groups, the second such suspension since the start of the war on Iran.

THE US OVERTHROW OF BAATHIST SUNNI SADDAM HUSSEIN EFFECTIVELY HANDED THE COUNTRY OVER TO PRO-TEHRAN LEADERSHIP.

— Al Mayadeen English (@MayadeenEnglish) April 22, 2026

Currently the Coordination Framework (CF), which is the largest Iran-aligned parliamentary bloc of Shia parties, is racing to pick a new prime minister for the country – but reportedly neither of the two main candidates are acceptable to Washington.

There’s a huge lasting irony to the Iraq war and the Bush-Cheney legacy. The US overthrow of Baathist Sunni Saddam Hussein effectively handed the country over to pro-Tehran leadership. And the US has been dealing with the fallout in the region from the ‘Shia axis’ ever since.

THE US MILITARY ANNOUNCES THE RETURN OF 29 SHIPS AS PART OF THE NAVAL BLOCKADE AGAINST IRAN.

The US Central Command announced on Wednesday that it had turned back 29 Iranian vessels that attempted to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that reports of three vessels crossing in the past 24 hours were inaccurate. The command said in a statement that “US forces have ordered 29 ships to return to port or turn back as part of the US embargo on Iran.”

He added that “during the past 24 hours, media reports claimed that several commercial vessels circumvented the blockade, citing the ships (Hero 2), (Hedi) and (Dorina) as examples,” indicating that “these reports are inaccurate.”

He noted that “Hero 2 and Heidi did not sail through the blockade as part of a fleet transporting millions of barrels of oil to the market. In fact, the Iranian-flagged oil tankers are docked in Iran’s Chabahar port, after being intercepted by US forces earlier this week. As for Dorina, it is being escorted by a US Navy destroyer in the Indian Ocean after its previous attempt to violate the blockade.”

The military asserted that “American forces have global influence, working to impose blockades throughout the Middle East and beyond.”

Bloomberg magazine, in a report published Wednesday, addressed the failure of part of the American maritime blockade, indicating that at least two Iranian tankers, fully loaded, left the Gulf waters this week and were able to breach the American blockade.

These ships are part of a fleet of oil tankers that bypassed the warships and transported about 9 million barrels of oil.

Data firm Vortexa announced that two Iranian-flagged supertankers, the Hero 2 and the Heidi, were the last vessels whose departure was detected by satellite imagery. They crossed the US-imposed blockade line on Monday, April 20.

  1. My opinion is in agreement that nothing happens until the “Iran Action” is over. Thanks to the US efforts, it appears that the military capabilities of Iran have been reduced to nothing more than harassing one off strikes. Iran has no formal Air Force, Air Defense System, Navy, and is a leaderless political and military organization. Bahj and Red Guard are ineffectual, leaderless, and without weapon flow, rife with desertion. My belief is that the Maliki-Sudani issue was a convenient covering delay until the “war” could be prosecuted and goals completed. An ancillary result of this ‘war’ is the adjacent elimination of the Iranian paramilitary organizations with Iraq. A new and effective government, parliament, presidency, and prime minister could not be established until elimination of the Iranian threat both outside of and within Iraq. Again, nothing happens until the Iranian action is over.

Shortly after this action culminates, maybe announced tonight, Iraq appoints a new President, selects the new Prime Minister, and reconstitutes the Parliament. When settled in with this new government, we will see the delete the zero project, and the RI and movement to the Fx. A good completion date, will be sometime in May.

  2. Pay attention to the third option, the QE option. This is not talking about printing currency in this case. Governments do not use the phrase quantitative easing” in a country like Iraq unless they’re signaling a structural monetary shift. QE is not a normal budget‑gap tool in a commodity‑backed, reserve‑heavy, cash‑dominant economy. It’s a transition mechanism. Not a full announcement, but absolutely a monetary‑architecture signal, and it’s stronger than it looks at first glance.

Advisor to the Prime Minister: A three-pronged plan to secure salaries in light of global challengesp

    Baghdad – Waa – Nassar Al-Hajj

The Financial Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mazhar Mohammed Saleh, confirmed on Tuesday that the current policy ensures the continuation of salaries and social welfare grants, and while identifying 3 main sources to ensure the sustainability of salaries and social spending, he indicated that Iraq is capable of facing global financial and economic shocks efficiently and effectively. To receive more news, subscribe to our Telegram channel

Saleh told the Iraqi News Agency (WAA): “The sustainability of the monthly expenses of salaries, wages, pensions and social welfare allocations, in light of the current economic challenges and global fluctuations due to geopolitical risks, is a top priority, and relies on three main sources of revenues that ensure the protection of the living and social stability of citizens on a regular monthly basis.”

“The first source is to maximize non-oil revenues, as the liquidity of the collection of these revenues is ensured by intensifying the electronic means of payment, which enhances the state’s own financial resources and reduces total dependence on oil revenues,” he said.

“The second source is the expansion of the export base of crude oil and petroleum products, and this policy includes the use of traditional channels for export whenever possible, including land and sea transport through neighboring countries, in accordance with the current global oil prices, which have witnessed an increase of nearly 70% compared to their levels before the outbreak of tensions in the Gulf region and the Middle East,” Saleh added, pointing out that “this expansion of exports, in light of the high prices of crude oil, contributes to enhancing the revenues necessary to cover social spending and ensure stability Local market”.

“The third source of revenue is the adoption of a pattern of quantitative easing policies, through monetary and fiscal coordination, where coordination between monetary policy and fiscal policy is intensified, which is supported by efficient foreign monetary reserves, to ensure the stability of the national economy and the sustainability of public social spending, including the payment of salaries, pensions and social welfare allocations without any interruption,” he said.

“The continuation of these integrated policies ensures the protection of monthly employment income, enhances economic and social stability in the country, and makes Iraq able to face global financial and economic shocks efficiently and effectively,” Saleh concluded.

  3. Allow me to expand upon the idea above:

    1. “Quantitative easing” in Iraq does not mean Western‑style bond buying

In a dollarized, cash‑heavy, reserve‑backed economy like Iraq, QE cannot mean:

    • expanding the monetary base
    • purchasing government securities
    • injecting new liquidity

    Iraq doesn’t operate that system.

So, when the advisor uses the phrase “adoption of a pattern of quantitative easing policies”, he is not talking about printing money. He is talking about a liquidity‑injection event that does not increase debt — which is exactly what a redenomination + cash‑absorption cycle accomplishes.

     2. The “third source of revenue” is not revenue — it’s a monetary‑architecture shift

The text frames it as a revenue source, which is the tell. A currency restructure produces “revenue” in three ways:

    A. Hoarded cash returns to banks

This is the big one. The delete‑the‑zeros project forces:

    • mattress cash
    • black‑market stockpiles
    • unreported business cash
    • informal‑sector liquidity

…to return to the banking system.

That is a massive liquidity injection without borrowing, taxation, or printing.

    B. Seigniorage efficiency increases

New note structure = lower printing cost + higher velocity.

    C. Parallel‑market leakage collapses

Once the old notes expire, the informal FX channels lose their fuel.

This is why the advisor dares to call it a “source of revenue.” It’s not revenue in the budgetary sense — it’s monetary recapture.

     3. The key phrase: “supported by efficient foreign monetary reserves”

This is the part that ties it directly to a currency‑unit change. The report states that QE‑style coordination is:

“supported by efficient foreign monetary reserves”

Foreign reserves are only relevant to QE in Iraq when:

    • defending a new exchange structure
    • stabilizing a redenomination
    • managing the transition window
    • absorbing volatility during note replacement

    This is classic pre‑restructure language.

    4. Why this matches the delete‑the‑zeros project specifically

The delete‑the‑zeros project has four operational goals:

    1. Pull hoarded cash into banks
    2. Reset the note structure
    3. Improve monetary transmission
    4. Reduce cash‑based leakage and smuggling

    The advisor’s third source describes:

    • monetary–fiscal coordination
    • liquidity stabilization
    • reliance on foreign reserves
    • sustainability of salaries
    • protection against shocks

    That is the redenomination playbook.

     5. The advisor is giving the public the “soft announcement”

    He cannot say:

“We are preparing to delete the zeros.”

    So he says:

“quantitative easing policies… supported by foreign reserves… ensuring stability and sustainability of salaries”

This is the exact language governments use when they are:

    • preparing the public
    • normalizing the concept
    • signaling readiness
    • framing the restructure as a stability tool

He’s not talking about printing money. He’s talking about recapturing liquidity through currency architecture.

     Bottom line

Yes — the third option is a direct reference to the currency‑restructure mechanism, specifically:

    • delete‑the‑zeros
    • forced return of hoarded cash
    • banking‑system liquidity flush
    • monetary‑fiscal coordination
    • reserve‑backed transition stability

It’s not explicit, but it’s unmistakably the same architecture we’ve been tracking.

Regarding the Prime Minister’ship, Al-Moussawi said that “the coordination framework is not with Nuri Al-Maliki or Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, but the establishment of mechanisms for the selection of candidates, based on national acceptability, non-controversy and acceptance of the religious authority and the international community,” stressing that “our position is firm with the decision of the framework to proceed with the vote on the candidate of the prime minister regardless of participation in the government or not.”

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region – Farhad Atroushi, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)-affiliated deputy speaker of the Iraqi parliament, on Friday expressed his “disapproval” of the agenda for the legislature’s upcoming session scheduled for Saturday to elect Iraq’s next president, citing the lack of “national consensus on a candidate” for the post traditionally held by the Kurds.

In a statement, Atroushi said, “Starting from our national responsibility and our keenness to ensure the stability of the political process and the democratic path in the country, we announce our disapproval of the agenda for the session on Saturday, April 11, dedicated to electing the President of the Republic of Iraq.”

He attributed the move to “the absence of national and political consensus regarding electoral entitlements,” urging “our partners among the political leaders to allow for further understanding and serious dialogue” to “transcend differences and reach a national consensus on a presidential candidate who enjoys broad national acceptance, far from the policy of imposing a fait accompli.”

Atroushi’s remarks come after President Masoud Barzani, leader of the KDP, warned on Saturday that rushing to elect a president could lead to “counterproductive” results and “deeper divisions,” stressing the need for further consultations among political components.

“We believe that the current call for a parliamentary session to elect the President of the Republic, and subsequently appoint the prime minister, requires further consultation,” the preeminent Kurdish leader said.

LISEN TO ME! Instead of over thinking this Iraqi IQD value with your own hype and discouragement, why not look at the FACTS!

I go to extreme measures to
try to teach my viewers the TRUTH, yes the TRUTH, and people like you come on and trash us serious investors who
have been studying this IQD for over 23 years. Really now, how about listening to us for a change.
Yes, do your own research or just sit back, listen to us and shut the hell up!

  21. My observation on the following report from today. It is actual cash being withheld, even though 95% of Iraq’s transactions now run through the electronic dollar system. My read is that this remaining physical cash was still feeding the parallel market. That’s why Saleh is downplaying it as “tourist cash” almost like misdirection — he’s minimizing the significance publicly while the U.S. move quietly cuts off the last unmonitored supply line.

By choking the physical‑dollar pipeline, the U.S. is effectively starving the parallel market. And that fits the pattern: if you were preparing for a currency restructure, you would want the unofficial market neutralized beforehand. The article’s key line — “only 5% of demand depends on cash” — is the giveaway. He’s essentially signaling that the cash‑dollar channel has become small enough that the system can let it fade out without destabilizing anything. I find it very interesting and “under the radar” even though it’s right in our face.

Iraqi Government Advisor Downplays Impact of U.S. Cash Withdrawal

Mazhar Mohammad Saleh, economic and financial advisor to the Iraqi prime minister, stated that the decision of the United States to withhold $500 million from Iraq is “very limited” in scope, confirming that the transactions of companies with the Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) are continuing and proceeding normally.

The Wall Street Journal first revealed on Tuesday that President Donald Trump’s administration had blocked a cargo plane carrying nearly $500 million in physical banknotes to pressure Baghdad into curbing Iran-aligned militias.

Five Iraqi sources told Reuters today that the move was limited to shipments of physical U.S. currency, totaling between $450 million and $500 million, which are periodically flown into Baghdad.

Meanwhile, currency market volatility saw the US dollar reach 155,000 IQD per $100, while the euro and British pound climbed to over 180,000 and 203,000 IQD, respectively.

Although the CBI currently maintains approximately $97 billion in foreign reserves, geopolitical instability and declining oil revenues threaten the original projection of exceeding $100 billion by 2029.

Saleh: U.S. Withholding of $500 Million Has Limited Impact

Saleh said that “Dollars are being provided continuously and without interruption to merchants and for foreign remittances, and the U.S. decision to withhold $500 million from Iraq is very limited and will have a 5% impact.”

He emphasized that there is a significant distinction between the cash dollars allocated to travelers at airports, approximately $3,000 per tourist, and the provision of foreign commercial financing, which is carried out through remittances and the international banking system.

“The halt of dollar inflows from America to Iraq is related to a very limited portion of the demand for dollars, not exceeding 5%, and this is linked to meeting the cash needs of tourists,” he added.

U.S. Dollar Restrictions Are ‘Logistical’ Not ‘Political’

Saleh emphasized that Washington’s decision is “logistical and not a political one.”

“The reduction in dollar remittances is related to the suspension of air travel, which has affected the transportation of cash dollars and goods, due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Gulf countries. This is a temporary situation and has nothing to do with politics,” he noted.

95% of Iraq’s Foreign Currency Needs Are Met

The advisor further highlighted that transactions between companies and the Central Bank are ongoing, with these transfers fulfilling approximately 95% of the market’s demand for foreign currency.

  23. Thank you MG! Webster defines soon as in the near future, before long, without delay or in a speedy manner. So far soon as used in the past has not fulfilled the above definition. The champagne is staying on the store shelves! Be blessed!

  24. It all seems hung up on this Iran thing. Plus Iraq is just naturally dysfunctional due to shia-sunni nonsense. If Sudani is not back in soon as prime minister, no telling how long this could drag on. My father passed away before RV happened, hoping I might see it before I turn to dust. Wow that sounds negative… Who knows? What is and what should be are two very different things.
