November 3, 2026 Mnt Goat News Brief

Guten Tag everyone:

So, here we go again more news about the parallel market and the Oil and Gas Law.

The new CBI governor also debunks a plan to issue all new three zero notes to help bring in these stashes of currency into the banks. What would that really accomplish anyway by doing this? So, we have to be careful of what many of these silly economists tell us from the Iraqi news. The TRUTH all eventually shakes out.

STATUS OF THE RV

Welcome to November!

Just wanted to remind everyone that the continuation of the Newsletter depends on YOU. The Newsletter does not have a membership or subscription fee but a free-will donation to the cause of getting TRUTHFUL and HONEST news to you, the best way I can. If you don’t show me you care about the Newsletter than it will simply end. This is a new month and so I need everyone reading this news to step up and help out. This is a second job for me collecting information, calling Iraq and then compiling the Newsletter for YOU not me. I already know the info and I don’t have to pass it along to anyone. I know there are many who are is very difficult situations, these are turbulent times and so I want to leave the Newsletter open for them too. I am only asking to give ONLY what you can afford. Thank You!

I still often go into TNT and listen to their dialogue with Tony and his side kick Ray. Oh boy! What a bunch of bullshit. I cringe with disappointment and the hairs go up on the back of my neck when I hear such foolishness. Yes, they are still pumping the everyday any day crap. They even told their listeners that their sources told them the news channels in Iraq were broadcasting that the newer lower denominations were going to come out last week. Well…. here we are a week later and disappointment comes to his little ban of puppets once again, it did not happen!

I know you TNT followers are reading this today. Yes, he pulls the strings and you react, disappointment again. Folks, when will all you TNT followers realize he has no viable contacts giving him information. He has been cut off from all information since he was abandoned a long time ago because of his exaggeration and rumor spreading. He has made this RV information process a three-ring circus, and the US Treasury does not like his mentality of passing out information. Enough said, just wanted to pass this along to all you TNT idiot followers.

By the way it is ILLEGAL to violate OFAC sanctions and for any banks to exchange Iraqi dinar as trading or selling on the open market. The dinar has been ripped from FOREX for a reason and will be reinstated for a reason when the time is right. Not right for us investors but for the benefit of Iraq. So all this horse shit about people exchanging early and that we are next in line is just that – horse shit! Didn’t these idiots learn their lesson from 2012? How many times must you bang your head before it hurts?

Having said all this, we also know Iraq often contradicts itself in the daily news. So , reading article is also not fool-proof but it is much better than being a liar. Some of these so-called economic experts are not so experienced and knowledgeable as they claim to be. This makes it tricky to sort through the articles. I have to have a great deal of discernment. Today we will see yet another contradiction. Are these just mishaps, errors or intentionally misleading us? I believe they are optimists and present future plans. Sometimes the interpretation from Arabic to English is not so good and we read the news as current news when actually they mean future events to come. To translate past of future ‘tense’ is hard from the Arabic language. So, we must be careful when reading these articles. It takes a long-term sense and special feel for the news to realize what they are doing, whether intentional or not. I must always bear in mind what they told us in the past., then compare to the present information. Also bumping the news off my Iraqi contact also helps and is deeply appreciated. Being close to the CBI helps. So, putting together this Newsletter each week is not that easy, you see?

Let’s talk about the real news today, okay?

We are still waiting for news of further details on how Iraq intends to conduct removing the zeros early next year. To refresh your memory, in my last Newsletter dated October 27, 2026, there was yet more news from Iraq about removing the zeros  with yet more information on the project. Here are the two articles again to look for in that edition of the Newsletter:

“REMOVING ZEROS FROM THE IRAQI DINAR: A GOVERNMENT MOVE REOPENS THE ISSUE.”

“CURRENCY REFORM BEFORE REMOVING ZEROS: AN ECONOMIST TELLS IRAQ OBSERVER THAT THE ROADMAP IS TO STRENGTHEN THE VALUE OF THE IRAQI DINAR.”

UPDATE: It’s all about the PARALLEL MARKET:

In the news from Iraq, I have to say the overall main topic is now the parallel market and how to combat it. To combat it is to get the parallel rate to at least match the ‘official’ CBI rate or better. Remember that the CBI just devalued the dinar to 1520 from 1320. Will they revalue it soon back to 1320 now that the reserves are rising rapidly? They are trying to replenish the CBI reserves using this devaluation. Get it? What reaction will the market have with this new load of US dollars reaches Iraq?

Please take a peek at this article titled “CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ: DOLLAR RESERVES ARE RECOVERING AND NEW US SHIPMENTS ARE ARRIVING SOON.”

“The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed on Tuesday that the country’s reserves of US dollars have recovered to approach $80 billion during September and October 2026, after having declined earlier to about $73 billion, while sending a message of reassurance to citizens regarding the availability of cash liquidity in dollars and the continued arrival of new shipments to Iraq in the coming days”.

Remember that before the Iranian conflict their reserves had reached $120 billion that’s dollars not dinars.

Then the US stepped up and said they will send more dollars to Iraq to help satisfy the dollar crunch, thus alleviate some pressure for the dollar which always causes the parallel market to thrive. So again, from what I just told you, can you see clearly that being still solely pegged to the dollar is the real cause of the parallel market to thrive?

Folks, this is not rocket-science. The real and honest solution is now to get off the sole peg to the US dollar. It is causing more problems than it solves. We know it and they know it too. But we also know the dollar is still king in Iraq and the only leverage the US has hanging over Iraq. So, this leverage will not end until it’s usefulness ends. Get it? So, can Iraq work around these issue? This is the work cut out for Iraq and the CBI.

This next article is their words from Iraq. Can you see what the US is doing to use the dollar still to pressure Iraq. It is titled “AL-ALI: AMERICA SEEKS TO ECONOMICALLY STRANGLE IRAN AND USE IRAQ AS A TOOL TO ACHIEVE ITS GOALS.”

“Economic researcher Mu’ayyad al-Ali believes that the United States is working to impose sanctions and economically strangle Iran. He pointed out that this American move coincided with Washington’s attempt to use Iraq as a tool to achieve American objectives in this economic war.”

So, is this a good method or bad method to deal with Iraq? You can clearly see the corruption from the last election cycle. You can clearly see the corruption from the Iranian factions still refusing to disarm and disband. Let’s think about it…… It is not so good for our investment in the short-term but very good for the overall long-term stability of the region if Iran’s influence is dealt with now rather than later. Remember Iraq needs STABILITY and SECURITY to reinstate the dinar.

As investors we would only be waiting much longer for the reinstatement of the dinar if Iraq does not face and deal with these five issues we were told about last September by my CBI contact. This was their words not mine. Yes, its painful now and we all want to exchange now but I have to tell you this will not happen until these five (5) main issues are dealt with. I explained them clearly in my September 16, 2026 Newsletter. The incoming news ever since is mainly all about these five issues. Can you see why?

To sum it up Iraq is still technically operating under the same sanction mode as when in Chapter VII sanctions. Not much has really changed. They are still being forced to use the US dollar for trade outside Iraq. They are still about 94% of the economy dependent on oil revenues which are based on the petro-dollar. It all still all about the dollar and not the dinar, get it?

Take a peek at this recent article titled “CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ: DOLLAR RESERVES ARE RECOVERING AND NEW US SHIPMENTS ARE ARRIVING SOON.”

Remember that Iraq has been de-dollarized and so the dollars are for special purposes only like trade and travel outside Iraq. Most items purchased in Iraq must be sold in dinars and this is now the law. In country Iraq uses dinars not dollars, keep this in mind.

Also remember that until Iraq moves to a higher level from the ‘rentier’ economy based almost solely on oil revenues, it will need to import most of the goods consumed. The agricultural industry is about the only industry thriving now besides oil. It actually generates enough to export too.  So, we wait for the Development Road Project to take hold. We have read news of Turkey investing in building the roadways and rails for moving imports. The goal is to move these goods more cheaply through the Middle Eastern ports to Europe and the rest of the Middle East. This is why they are calling Iraq a ‘regional hub’.

Here is another article about this subject matter. It is titled “EXPERTS PROPOSE SOLUTIONS TO END THE DOLLAR GAP”

“Financial and economic experts have proposed a roadmap for achieving sustainable stability in the local exchange market. While they pointed out that the announcement of the arrival of new cash shipments of dollars should be accompanied by flexible distribution mechanisms and accessible official channels that meet the needs of traders and citizens, they warned that the lack of regular currency flow and the complexity of commercial transfer procedures will keep the parallel market as a major haven that fuels the current price gap.”

Another article titled “ASSOCIATION OF BANKS: THE CENTRAL BANK FULFILLS ALL REQUESTS FOR DOLLAR TRANSFERS ABROAD.”

“The executive director of the Association of Private Banks explained that the central bank has solid and large reserves that allow it to meet requests for dollar transfers abroad, despite the impact of the security and political situation on the exchange rate. The association’s executive director, Ali Tariq, said: “The Central Bank of Iraq is fulfilling all requests for transferring dollars outside of Iraq, and therefore work is continuing.”

This next article says it all. Someone finally tells the truth! Articles like this one by Al-Zubaidi really hits home. It tells us so much in the minds of those that are sensible and reasonable thinkers in Iraq. Have I not said this same thing over and over again. Even the past CBI director Ali Al-Alaq said the same. He told us when they get off the sole peg this parallel market will no longer exist. This he said back then is the solution. WOW! WOW! WOW! What an article!

It is titled “AL-ZUBAIDI: ALL THE CENTRAL BANK’S MEASURES TO CONTROL THE DOLLAR EXCHANGE RATE HAVE FAILED.”

“Salam al-Zubaidi, spokesperson for the Victory Coalition, confirmed on Sunday that it is difficult for the Central Bank and the government to control the discrepancies between the official exchange rate and the black market rate. He indicated that all statements made are merely pronouncements, and what will prevent this manipulation is strong and deterrent measures.

Speaking to Al-Maalouma, al-Zubaidi said, “The measures they want to take are just hot air when it comes to controlling the exchange rate and achieving parity or reducing the gap between the official and black market rates.” He emphasized that “the measures taken so far are ineffective and have failed, as evidenced by their failure on the ground.”

He added, “The government and the Central Bank have not learned from the measures that accompanied the dollar’s rise in previous periods, which failed and did not help to lower the dollar’s value.” He pointed out that “what will prevent this manipulation are strong measures, like those we witnessed in countries near Iraq when dollar manipulation occurred.”

From this following article I get a sense the CBI is NOT going to take the option of printing a new set of three zero notes to try to bring in the hoards of stashes  of dinar back to the banking system. Instead he is going to ride out the devaluation first and watch to see the reactions and effects on the parallel market. He tells us so far its working and it moved from 24% down to 9% already. It is titled “THE CENTRAL BANK CLARIFIES THE TRUTH ABOUT PRINTING THE NEW CURRENCY… AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO PRICES DECREASES TO 9%”

Governor Hussein is talking about inaccurate information on the CBI about the printing a new set of 3 zeros notes, it is not a CBI plan, never was. Instead, it plans to still remove the zeros (remove the three zero  notes altogether) and issue newer lower denominations to replace them but needs first to control the parallel market. Remember that article from the recent past telling us a new set of three zero notes was an option. Well…. Hussein told us today  it was never the CBI option. This is wonder news for us! 😊

“The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Nizar Nasser Hussein, confirmed on Thursday that reports circulating about the printing of new currency were inaccurate. He also revealed that the gap between the official exchange rate and the parallel market rate had decreased from 24% to 9%.

UPDATE: Disarming/disbanding the IRANIAN FACTIONS

I know, I know you don’t have to tell me. I too am sick and tired of this issue. But it is not going to just go away. They have until June to disarm them. I believe this is just a tactic to stall for time to see how the Iranian conflict will turn out. Iran needs these US dollars to help survive the US economic sanctions on them. We know that billions of US dollars have flowed to Iran from Iraq. A major source of the dollars.

I am actually ashamed of Iraq for having to even be pressured by the US to disarm and disband these militias and factions without doing it themselves, shame, shame, shame on them. Do they want a free Iraq or not? Do they actually seek a truly sovereign nation? This sometimes worries me on the attitudes of these Arabic people. This Islamic Revolutionary movement is going to ride over them too if not careful. It is an uphill battle for president Trump to make them realize that their life can be much better without the current Iranian regime. Seems many of the minds in Iraq are afraid to confront Iran and their factions for fear these factions will use their might inside their country to take over the government.

You might say this is a ridiculous statement to make but read this following recent article titled “FACTIONS MAY SWALLOW UP AL-ZAYDI AND HIS GOVERNMENT… THEY EXPAND WITHIN THE STATE AND RETAIN THEIR WEAPONS – REPORT”

“Two days after the government announced the downing of an unidentified drone in the vicinity of the Green Zone, Al-Mada newspaper, quoting political and security sources, revealed that arrest warrants are about to be issued against those behind the launching of the drones. This raises questions about the ability of Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s government to withstand pressure, should the investigations lead to the involvement of influential armed factions in the operation.”

As I have already told my readers in past Newsletters that there is going to eventually be a blood bath with these Iranian backed terrorist factions. Is it almost time. I don’t believe the US is going to wait until June 2027. They are not going to get away with waving Iranian flags defying the US for long inside Iraq. Too many US lives were lost fighting the Iraqi wars for the U.S. president to just walk away from investment opportunities in Iraq. Iran is NOT going to spoil his development investment plans for Iraq. The article is titled “ISRAELI NEWSPAPER: BAGHDAD EXPECTS US-ISRAELI ATTACKS ON FACTIONS IN IRAQ”

“The Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot published a report today (Tuesday, October 27, 2026), in which it confirmed that the Iraqi government is “assessing intelligence information about a grim scenario that may be being prepared now.”

The newspaper, as translated by “Baghdad Today,” said that Arab and regional media outlets published information indicating that the Iraqi government “is assessing intelligence information it obtained indicating that the American-Israeli war on Iran will return again, but this time it will take place inside Iraq.”

Interesting news, but also remember this is just an opinion from a news reporter not government officials.

If this is true, this is of course not good news for us in the short-term but if these raids do not escalate they could be beneficial to the timing of launching the removing of the zeros and possible even the reinstatement next year too. So, my glass is half full not empty. How is your glass filled today?

So it appears the terrorist Hezbollah factions inside Iraq are there for a purpose and they are showing their purpose. This article it titled “RENEWED THREATS FROM FACTIONS AGAINST WASHINGTON ARE DISRUPTING BAGHDAD’S EFFORTS TO RESTRICT WEAPONS.”

“The renewed warnings from Iraqi armed factions to Washington against using Iraqi airspace in any potential attack against Iran are raising concerns in Baghdad about the possibility of these factions becoming embroiled in a new regional conflict. This comes at a time when the government is trying to control the factions’ movements and persuade them to confine their weapons. On Friday, Ansar Allah al-Awfiya, a group within the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq,” declared that any use of Iraqi airspace by the United States to attack Iran would constitute a “violation of Iraqi sovereignty” and would be met with a response.”

Oh…. but how about Ansar Allah al-Awfiya, and his Iranian groups within the “Islamic Resistance” inside Iraq. Are they not also violating Iraqi sovereignty? So you see the Iranian backed groups inside Iraq are hypocrites. Don’t buy into this sovereignty rhetoric unless it works both ways. The US already withdrew its troops abiding by a past agreement. Did the idiot Iraqis put a deadline for the removal of Iranian forces to leave before they allowed them to enter Iraq? Again I say is Iraq really mature enough even to govern their own so-called sovereignty state?  Are they too fearful of Iranian soldiers to even challenge them with their own military?

You are going to hear a lot of rhetoric about the M PMF law in the news and why it is not going to parliament to vote. Even in my Newsletter I included other articles about this law. This PMF law would make the PMF legal inside Iraq and would pay them to be their as their fighting forces. But to who’s allegiance, Iran or Iraq? Since Iraq is limited by treaty on the size and nature of their military do they actually desire these factions fighting for them and adding to their military ability? If this is their thinking  it is sad thinking and these factions will turn on Iraq just as quickly as they hate the U.S. and Israel.

So, here it the latest article telling on the update of this PMF law. It is titled “AL-DULAIMI: THE GOVERNMENT WITHDREW THE POPULAR MOBILIZATION FORCES LAW UNDER AMERICAN PRESSURE BEFORE REFERRING IT TO PARLIAMENT.”

Oh…that’s why the law was stalled. It’s all VERY GOOD! The law was just another pro-Iranian move to fund the factions and militias. Yes, they can push this law but what about the Oil and Gas Law. Why haven’t they already taken up this law? Will they do it now? Remember during the election they told us this would be a high-priority once they began sessions.

“On Monday, Mohammed al-Dulaimi, a leader in the Anbar Alliance, revealed that the central government withdrew the Popular Mobilization Forces Law before it was presented to the House of Representatives for ratification of its clauses, following American pressure, and postponed the voting process indefinitely.

Al-Dulaimi told Al-Maalouma News Agency that “pressures exerted by the Trump administration on influential political figures in the central government led to the withdrawal of the Popular Mobilization Forces Law, which was expected to be presented to Parliament for a vote on approving the law during the next session after it had obtained near-parliamentary consensus to pass it.”

This next article pushes the issue of getting the Oil and Gas Law in parliament for a vote. Remember the getting of a law to manage the Oil and Gas is also one of the five issues that are mandatory to resolve prior to the reinstatement. It is titled “THE POPULAR MOBILIZATION FORCES AND OIL AND GAS ARE AT THE TOP OF THE LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES.”

“The priorities of the sixth session of the House of Representatives are to proceed with a package of laws that affect the lives of citizens and the rights of broad segments, with efforts to complete them before the end of the legislative session. At the forefront of these legislations is the Popular Mobilization Forces Law, which was voted on by the Council of Ministers last September, along with the Oil and Gas Law and the Teachers Protection Law, amid parliamentary demands to expedite their completion.”

Well we already know the PMF law is going nowhere. Let’s pray the Oil and Gas Law is taken up shortly in parliament and they can get it passed before the end of the year. That makes our chances of getting a reinstatement in 2027 that much higher, sooner than later.

SUMMARY

Yes, I am still hearing from Iraq that the CBI fully intends to remove the zeros from their dinar as early as the first quarter of 2027. We all know what this ultimately means to us.

But we must be patient and realize lots can still happen to slow it down or delay it too. We must pray that nothing goes wrong.

We were told in prior years by the CBI that, if the Customs and Tariffs can be managed correctly and the money retrieved into the Federal coffers, it could rival the oil revenues. The full implementation of the ASYCUDA system will provide this accountability and tracking of these revenues. But to this extent these revenues will be realized only when Iraq truly becomes this middle east hub they talked about in a previous article in today’s news. They will need the Development Road completed and these Industrial Cities online. So, what is the progress of this effort? The article is titled “CUSTOMS AUTHORITY DISCUSSES WITH UN EXPERTS THE COMPLETION OF THE FINAL PHASE OF ASYCUDA AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM.”

“The Director General of the General Authority of Customs, Thamer Qasim Dawood, discussed on Wednesday with experts from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) the requirements for completing the third and final phase of the ASYCUDA system, within the digital transformation plan for the Iraqi customs system extending until the end of 2028”.

This article is interesting because it is the first time we hear about the project to increase the value of the dinar as the ‘Economic Dinar’. What do they mean by this? It is simply the effort to ‘make Iraq great again’ through it economy and currency increase. The article is titled “INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTRE: IRAQ IS QUALIFIED TO BECOME A REGIONAL HUB FOR TRADE AND INVESTMENT.”

“The Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, Pamela Cooke Hamilton, confirmed that the Iraqi government is committed to accelerating the procedures for joining the World Trade Organization, expressing her hope that the membership requirements will be completed by 2028. While revealing a proposal to prepare a national strategy for trade and investment, she stressed that Iraq is qualified to become a regional center for trade and investment.”

“Hamilton said during her appearance on the “Economic Dinar” program on Al-Iraqiya News Channel, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency: “The International Trade Centre continues to support Iraq in completing the requirements for joining the World Trade Organization, through reviewing local legislation and regulations and building the capacities of government institutions and the private sector,” indicating that “Iraq submitted its goods offer last September, and is currently working on completing its services offer.”

Oh…but Iraq can’t meet its August – October salaries? What? Maybe if they cracked down on where they money is going they would have plenty to pay salaries in times of crisis. Hello….anybody home? ☹ How is this much still being stolen with all the reforms and checks in place. It is titled “20 BILLION IN 3 NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES… EXPECTED PARLIAMENTARY ACTION TO RECOVER LOOTED FUNDS AND COMBAT CORRUPTION”

“MP Abdul Amir Najm revealed today, Monday, the most prominent vital draft laws that the government is working to finalize and send to Parliament in the coming period. He indicated that foremost among them is the “Settlement and Recovery” draft law, which aims to activate mechanisms for recovering looted public funds and curbing financial and administrative corruption.”

“AL-ZAIDI OVERSEES THE SIGNING OF 9 MEMORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING IN JORDAN”

“On Monday, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and Jordanian Prime Minister sponsored the signing ceremony of nine memoranda of understanding and executive programs.”

“According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Media Office and received by Shafaq News Agency, the ceremony included the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of competition and prevention of monopoly, another in the field of environmental protection, as well as a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research for the years 2026-2031.”

Internet investors in the Iraqi dinar just need to relax and wait. It helps to learn the TRUTH of what is actually happening in Iraq to get to the reinstatement. If you have been a loyal blog follower of the Newsletter you should be able to clearly see the holdup and the path to get to the target of early January 2027. We see the obstacles to the reinstatement, and I firmly believe this is why they chose to remove the zeros and issue the newer lower denominations as a slow rollout over time rather than more quickly. This gives them a padding, more time to work on these other issues. This stalling of disarming/disbanding the factions till June does not help in their schedule. It may throw a monkey-wrench in the works. Let’s see how it all plays out over time. Time will tell. We are just about 60 days from 2027.

I firmly believe after the midterm elections in the US that the president Trump will restart a much more aggressive campaign against Iran. Where this will lead we have to watch and wait. I wouldn’t’ t even try to figure this one out when it comes to Trump. He is unpredictable. But he does have a plan and is executing it against Iranian terrorists and nuclear threats where no other past presidents dare to go. He is an amazing president!

If you haven’t yet VOTED, please go and VOTE. You vote does count.

Their words not mine…..No Rumors, No Hype, No Opinions ,,,,,

                                             Just the FACTS!

These prophecies are an important tool we have to lead us on our path. They are more important now than ever. They give us the strength, perseverance and hope that a better time is coming and that God’s Hand is at work behind the scenes. If you just take a second even to look around you at these past three election cycles, how can you deny that God is at work? Are you sleeping or what?

It is amazing and there is no other way that these events could have happened the way they turned out. But there is more to come, much, much more, I assure you! Now that God has his biblical David re-elected, we need to pay attention to what He does next.

NOTE: These prophecies tell us also of things happening in the background that either the main stream news media does not know about or the crooked news media refuses to talk about. They do this to keep us in the dark to continue the Trump hating senario and for us to keep thinking that nothing is changing, thus Trump is not successful. But it is just the opposite happening. The proof is all around us if we look for it.

Fr. DON BOSCO EXPOSED THE DARK SECRET BEHIND ISLAM

I keep this one out here to view. Everyone should take the time to watch it. It will awaken you about the Muslim so-called religion (or should we call it for it is — a ‘cult‘.)

— And the truth the world forgot about the so-called Muslim religion.

Fr.Don Bosco, also known as John Bosco, was an Italian Catholic priest and educator, born on August 16, 1815. He founded the Salesian Society in 1859 to help disadvantaged youth,  particularly boys, through education and community service. His teachings emphasized loverkindness, and the importance of education for young people, making him a beloved figure in Catholicism and a patron saint of youth. Don Bosco was canonized in 1934.

HERE WE GO AGAIN. MORE VOTER FRAUD ALREADY FOUND IN 2026 MIDTERMS

Why did democrats and many rhino republicans not support the Save America Act?

I want to remind everyone the Republican party tried to put in place laws to prevent what has been going on with all the fraud in the past elections. But the democrats didn;t want it. Now we know why.

THE UNITED STATES IS A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC, NOT A DEMOCRACY

Please stop calling it a ‘democracy’! Hey…democrats I have news for you. We can’t lose our democracy as we never had one to begin with. We are a republic. But you can see what they are trying to do. There are hazards of a democracy our founding fathers did not want us to go there. With these bizarre policies of the democrats we can see why.

REAGAN WARNED US ABOUT THE DIRECTION OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY

Pathetic that the contents of the speech by the former president Reagan, as given in 1964, still holds true today in 2026 nearly 62 years later.  Have we learned nothing?

Why do we follow the Democrat Party? Why do we keep voting for these woke people? Is it just because our parents were members? Or maybe it’s the promises and rhetoric we hear on the news about bashing Trump and the Republican party and we choose the less of two evils?

But we must realize what party is the real culprit that has ruined our great nation. We must stop listening to the mainstream propaganda machine of the leftist and instead look at the FACTS. Yes, we must study their actions not so much their words over the last 100 years till today and see just how radical the Democrat party has become. Are they really now a Communist Socialist Party now? They may as well call themselves the Socialist Democrat Party for what they are or better yet why not just call them the Marxist Party. They have been planting seeds in our nation since the end of WW2 and now the seeds have grown. Do you wonder why we are having crisis after crisis? This is a tool the Marxist use to subrogate a Constitutional Democracy for a Democratic nation.

The evidence is very simple to spot when the democrats talk as they always bring up references to the U.S. and “its democracy”. But we are not a democracy and so why do they push this concept so much on us? Like for example representatives like Jamie Raskin who is supposed to be a constitutional scholar, who very seldom will support the U.S. Constitution, find excuses to misinterpret it or simply ignore it altogether and reference again and again ‘our democracy’. It is ‘our constitutional republic’ not our democracy that is at stake.

I will let you think about this one for yourselves. If you don’t get what I am trying to show you here today you better buckle down and so some research in this democrat party.

BARACK OBAMA: TRAITOR, DIVIDER IN CHIEF, WAR CRIMINAL, TREASONOUS!!!

He would look good in an orange jump suit. It would match his tan from his sun tanning at his Martha Vineyard’s home ‘private’ beath.

OBAMA’S NUCLEAR DEAL

SOMEONE’S HAS TO TELL US THE TRUTH BEYOND THE OBAMA LIES BEING TOLD BY HIM ABOUT HIS GREAT AND WONDERFUL IRANIAN DEAL.…. loL… lol…. LOL…

Was the former president Obama really that stupid about Iran or did he know the truth and there is an Iranian conspiracy going on here. Is he really an Iranian terrorist sympathizer? Really this may seem weird, even laughable to those liberal Obama lovers. Many are so naive and can’t believe it could possibly happen that Obama was a planted politician as president by the globalist deep state. He was groomed to meet certain objectives. So many of us need to take the vail off for a second, slap yourself in the face to wake yourself up and listen to how Obama is now taking credit for an Iranian deal. Really? I am not saying this as you can see if is coming from past news channels and his own mouth. You have to be kidding me.

From his words about the handling of the nuclear treaty with Iran we can clearly see his administration did not know what the hell they were doing. They made a mess of the treaty, and so can you blame Trump for cancelling U.S. participation in it and slapping on severe sanctions? Iran played Obama and his gang as fools.

This is about the former Obama era Iranian nuclear deal and just how bad it was.

‘WE THE PEOPLE’ HAVE MUCH MORE POWER THAN WE THINK.

It’s our country not the elite globalist. It does not belong to the politicians or worst yet non-elected government employees who are following the script of the globalists. They merely represent us and when they infringe upon the TRUST we give to them, it’s time to get rid of them. This trust has been broken!

The 4th Amendment abuse….

Everyone MUST watch this one. A national camera network that watches our cars everywhere we go. It feeds a master database that connects our locations and traces the license plate. Who allows these cameras? Who is paying for them? Too many examples of abuse of power, if you allow this continue. Many of these cameras have already been shut off on protest. It is time to dismantle all of them and pass laws prohibiting this abuse of our 4th amendment rights.

But these cameras are only one example of many abuses. There are many other cases of this mass surveillance of the citizens. Yes, these measures can catch criminals but at what cost. Is it worth the abuse and concerns to abuse out constitutional rights.

Flock cameras are automated license plate reader (ALPR) cameras designed to capture vehicle information for law enforcement and public safety purposes.

A Flock camera is a surveillance device created by Flock Safety, an American company, that automatically photographs passing vehicles and records their license plates along with other vehicle details such as make, model, color, and distinguishing features like bumper stickers or dents.

These cameras are connected to the internet and use motion sensors and artificial intelligence to process images, convert license plates into text, and store the data in a searchable database. The system can generate alerts when a vehicle matches entries on hotlists, such as stolen cars or vehicles involved in criminal investigations.

THE CENTRAL BANK CLARIFIES THE TRUTH ABOUT PRINTING THE NEW CURRENCY… AND THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO PRICES DECREASES TO 9%

(Mnt Goat: Hussein is talking about inaccurate information on the CBI printing a new set of 3 zeros notes instead of removing the zeros and issuing newer lower denomination. Remember that article from the recent past?)

The Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Nizar Nasser Hussein, confirmed on Thursday that reports circulating about the printing of new currency were inaccurate. He also revealed that the gap between the official exchange rate and the parallel market rate had decreased from 24% to 9%.

The Media Office of the Council of Representatives stated in a press release, which was reviewed by the Video News Agency, that the Parliamentary Investment and Development Committee, chaired by the oldest member, MP Nahida al-Daini, visited the Central Bank of Iraq to discuss the repercussions of the dollar exchange rate change and its impact on the economic and investment landscape, as well as the challenges facing local investors and companies.

The statement added that the committee was briefed on the measures taken by the Central Bank to support the economy, including supporting government and private banks to provide low-interest loans to citizens ranging from 5 million to 15 million dinars.

The statement quoted the Governor of the Central Bank as confirming that there was no printing of new currency, clarifying that the talk circulating on this matter was inaccurate. He also noted the decrease in the gap between the official exchange rate and the parallel market rate to 9%, after it had reached 24%.
For its part, the parliamentary committee stressed the need to mitigate the impact of the exchange rate on the costs of implementing investment projects, the prices of raw materials, and contractual obligations, as well as its repercussions on market stability and citizens’ purchasing power.

It emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the Central Bank, government agencies, and the banking sector, and of streamlining banking financing procedures and removing obstacles for investors, thereby contributing to the continuation of investment projects and supporting the national economy.

CENTRAL BANK OF IRAQ: DOLLAR RESERVES ARE RECOVERING AND NEW US SHIPMENTS ARE ARRIVING SOON.

The Central Bank of Iraq confirmed on Tuesday that the country’s reserves of US dollars have recovered to approach $80 billion during September and October 2026, after having declined earlier to about $73 billion, while sending a message of reassurance to citizens regarding the availability of cash liquidity in dollars and the continued arrival of new shipments to Iraq in the coming days.

This announcement comes amid questions about the future of cash dollar flows into Iraq, and the Central Bank’s ability to maintain the stability of foreign reserves and secure market needs, in conjunction with the economic and security challenges facing the country.

Reserves recover, supported by oil revenues.

Mahmoud Dagher, advisor to the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq and spokesman for the bank, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that total dollar reserves, whether in the Central Bank’s accounts or the government’s accounts with the US Federal Reserve, have seen a remarkable improvement during September and October, returning to levels approaching $80 billion.

He explained that this improvement came as a result of the influx of oil export revenues, which amounted to nearly $6 billion, noting that the current level of reserves is acceptable under the current economic and security conditions.

Dagher confirmed that Iraq’s gold reserves remained stable at 170 tons, with no change in their size.

Shipments of US dollars to Iraq continue

Regarding the supply of cash dollars, Dagher revealed that two planes loaded with the US currency had arrived in Iraq, confirming that additional shipments would arrive in the coming days, according to the understandings that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi had spoken about.

He noted that each shipment carries approximately $500 million, and that the Prime Minister is personally following up on the arrival of cash shipments to ensure the continued availability of the required liquidity.

He stressed that cash dollars are available at the Central Bank, citing the increase in the number of annual quotas allowed for travelers from two to six quotas, after it had been limited to only two quotas four months ago.

These statements carry a message of reassurance regarding the continued arrival of cash dollars, but they do not necessarily mean the end of all challenges related to the flow of the US currency or the stability of its exchange rates in local markets.

Will dollar shipments to Iraq stop?

In clarifying concerns about the potential halt of US shipments, Dagher confirmed that there was an agreement to continue sending cash dollars during the coming period, but he linked the regularity of the arrival of shipments to the stability of security conditions.

He explained that the outbreak of military confrontations or security disturbances may impose logistical and security challenges on money transfer operations, especially since a single shipment contains large sums that require strict protection measures.

According to the statements, the risks mentioned relate to the possibility of transfer operations being affected by security conditions, and not to the announcement of a new American decision to stop sending dollars to Iraq.

Why does Iraq keep its reserves with the US Federal Reserve?

In the file on managing foreign reserves, Dagher explained that depositing the bulk of Iraqi funds with the US Federal Reserve was based on legal, technical and financial considerations, and not on political motives.

He pointed out that there are lawsuits outside Iraq related to Iraqi government banks that have not yet been resolved, which makes legal protection of reserves a key factor in determining where they should be deposited.

He explained that Iraq keeps parts of its reserves in multiple financial centers around the world, including Europe, Basel, the UAE and China, but the main part remains with the US Federal Reserve because of the protection it provides for these funds. He pointed out that settling the existing legal issues could open the door to additional options regarding the future distribution of Iraqi reserves.

Warning against continued dependence on oil

Despite the improved reserves, the central bank warned that the Iraqi economy continues to rely heavily on oil revenues to finance government spending, particularly salaries and operating expenses. Dagher explained that assessing the strength of reserves depends not only on their size in dollars, but also on their adequacy to cover the country’s foreign trade needs and financial obligations.

He noted that the reserves were sufficient to cover Iraq’s needs for about a year, before their capacity declined to about nine months as a result of lower oil revenues in the preceding months, but they have begun to regain previous levels of sufficiency with improved financial flows.

He stressed the need for the Ministry of Finance to diversify sources of public revenue and reduce reliance on foreign reserves, warning that their continuous use to cover financial needs is not a sustainable economic option.

Economic analysis: What does the return of reserves to $80 billion mean?

The recovery of dollar reserves is a positive indicator of Iraq’s improved ability to meet external obligations, especially after the pressures that financial resources have been subjected to as a result of fluctuating oil exports.

Recent developments can be interpreted through three key indicators:

Improvement in the external financial position: The rise in reserves from $73 billion to about $80 billion, according to the announced figures, reflects the recovery of part of the dollar resources.

Continued cash supply: The arrival of new shipments enhances the central bank’s ability to meet approved cash needs, but it alone does not guarantee the stability of the exchange rate in the parallel market. Continued structural risks: The heavy reliance on oil makes reserves vulnerable to further declines if exports fall or government spending increases.

It is important to distinguish between dollar reserves deposited abroad, cash dollar shipments arriving in Iraq, and international financial transfers, as these channels are subject to different mechanisms and procedures.

The continued arrival of cash shipments does not necessarily mean lifting the restrictions imposed on some Iraqi banks in dealing with the US dollar, given the different regulatory and supervisory procedures related to each case.

Will the dollar crisis in Iraq end?

The central bank’s statements reflect an improvement in the level of reserves and the continuation of cash supply channels, but they are not enough on their own to judge the end of the dollar crisis or to predict a decrease in its exchange rate in local markets.

Market stability requires, in addition to the availability of reserves, regular foreign transfers, meeting legitimate commercial demand, enhancing confidence in the banking sector, and reducing the gap between the official rate and the rate traded in the parallel market.

In conclusion, the data announced by the Central Bank indicates the continued arrival of cash dollars to Iraq and the improvement of its foreign reserves, while the sustainability of this improvement remains dependent on the stability of oil revenues, security conditions, and the success of financial and banking reforms.

The bank’s statements stand out as a message of reassurance to markets and citizens, in contrast to a clear economic warning that reserves, no matter how large, cannot be a permanent substitute for diversifying income sources and enhancing financial stability in the country.

ISRAELI NEWSPAPER: BAGHDAD EXPECTS US-ISRAELI ATTACKS ON FACTIONS IN IRAQ

The Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot published a report today (Tuesday, October 27, 2026), in which it confirmed that the Iraqi government is “assessing intelligence information about a grim scenario that may be being prepared now.”

The newspaper, as translated by “Baghdad Today,” said that Arab and regional media outlets published information indicating that the Iraqi government “is assessing intelligence information it obtained indicating that the American-Israeli war on Iran will return again, but this time it will take place inside Iraq.”

She continued: “According to these assessments, Washington and Tel Aviv will target Iranian factions and allies inside Iraq instead of targeting Iran itself,” adding, “Baghdad believes that Washington and Tel Aviv will not attack Iran directly this time, but will target Iranian factions and assets inside Iraq,” as she described it.

The newspaper concluded its report by noting that Baghdad also believes that the attacks on some military hangars in Iraq were carried out by Israeli aircraft, explaining, “Despite this, the Iraqi government has not issued an official accusation against Israel, and Tel Aviv has neither confirmed nor denied its responsibility for those operations.”

AL-ALI: AMERICA SEEKS TO ECONOMICALLY STRANGLE IRAN AND USE IRAQ AS A TOOL TO ACHIEVE ITS GOALS.

Economic researcher Mu’ayyad al-Ali believes that the United States is working to impose sanctions and economically strangle Iran. He pointed out that this American move coincided with Washington’s attempt to use Iraq as a tool to achieve American objectives in this economic war.

Al-Ali told Al-Ma’louma, “The United States continues its economic pressure on Iran by imposing a blockade and sanctions, and is working to drag Iraq into this war it is waging against the Islamic Republic.”

He added, “American dictates toward Iraq remain in place despite the American military withdrawal from Iraq, and this diminishes the country’s sovereignty as such interventions continue in various fields.”

He explained that “America is working to economically strangle Iran and aims to make Iraq one of its tools by trying to involve it in this economic pressure it is exerting on Iran, which constitutes interference in the country’s internal affairs.

AL-DULAIMI: THE GOVERNMENT WITHDREW THE POPULAR MOBILIZATION FORCES LAW UNDER AMERICAN PRESSURE BEFORE REFERRING IT TO PARLIAMENT.

(Mnt Goat: Oh…that’s why the law was stalled. Its all VERY GOOD! The law was just another pro-Iranian move to fund the factions and militias. Yes, they can push this law but what about the Oil and Gas Law. Why havn’t they taken up this law yet?)

On Monday, Mohammed al-Dulaimi, a leader in the Anbar Alliance, revealed that the central government withdrew the Popular Mobilization Forces Law before it was presented to the House of Representatives for ratification of its clauses, following American pressure, and postponed the voting process indefinitely.

He added that “the withdrawal of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) law came amidst surprise and disapproval from a large number of MPs who demanded that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zubaidi be summoned to Parliament to provide further details about the withdrawal of the PMF law and to publicly reveal the party behind obstructing its passage.” He affirmed that “there is a parliamentary movement underway to counter American pressure and pass the law during the current session.”

20 BILLION IN 3 NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES… EXPECTED PARLIAMENTARY ACTION TO RECOVER LOOTED FUNDS AND COMBAT CORRUPTION

(Mnt Goat: Oh…but Iraq can’t meet its August – October salaries? How is this much still being stolen with all the reforms and checks in place, if was not for politicians at the heart of it.)

MP Abdul Amir Najm revealed today, Monday, the most prominent vital draft laws that the government is working to finalize and send to Parliament in the coming period. He indicated that foremost among them is the “Settlement and Recovery” draft law, which aims to activate mechanisms for recovering looted public funds and curbing financial and administrative corruption.

Najm told the Information Agency, “Parliament is awaiting the arrival of several important draft laws with oversight and financial dimensions from the government, most notably the Settlement and Recovery Law, which represents a qualitative legislative pillar to enable oversight and judicial bodies to pursue smuggled funds and those involved in stealing public money inside and outside the country.”

He added, “The enactment of this law will give the state greater flexibility and faster legal tools to recover stolen funds and reinvest them in the public treasury and development projects, and close the legislative loopholes that corrupt individuals have exploited over the past years to escape with looted funds.”

Najm explained that “the Parliamentary Integrity Committee is determined to give top priority to all legislation related to combating corruption and protecting national wealth as soon as it reaches Parliament,” stressing “the necessity of integration and high-level coordination between the legislative and executive branches to enact these stringent laws and put an end to those who encroach upon the livelihood of the Iraqi people.”
In this context, previous official statistics showed that final court rulings had been issued to recover public funds amounting to $20.48 billion, coinciding with the recovery of more than $25 million internationally over two years.

According to the data, oversight and judicial bodies, along with the Iraqi Funds Recovery Fund, were able to recover $379 million from abroad, $13 million from French banks, $9 million from Italy, and $3 million from Lebanon, in addition to recovering 19 billion dinars domestically.

The investigations also uncovered assets and funds under surveillance in neighboring countries, including $1.45 billion in Syria, $700 million in Jordan, and $193 million in Turkey. Rewards ranging from 5% to 10% were offered to informants and collaborators.

FACTIONS MAY SWALLOW UP AL-ZAYDI AND HIS GOVERNMENT… THEY EXPAND WITHIN THE STATE AND RETAIN THEIR WEAPONS – REPORT

Two days after the government announced the downing of an unidentified drone in the vicinity of the Green Zone, Al-Mada newspaper, quoting political and security sources, revealed that arrest warrants are about to be issued against those behind the launching of the drones. This raises questions about the ability of Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi’s government to withstand pressure, should the investigations lead to the involvement of influential armed factions in the operation.

While al-Zaydi is working to form his government team and rearrange “sensitive” positions, leaks suggest that figures affiliated with Kataib Hezbollah may be appointed to security, administrative, and economic posts, including intelligence agencies, national security, and border crossings. According to informed sources, the irony lies in the fact that the government, which is supposed to disarm these factions, may find itself surrounded by them, instead of imposing its control over them. This could even lead to these forces becoming the reason for the end of al-Zaydi’s short political career, in a path described by a Shiite politician close to the coordination framework as “playing with fire.”

The politician himself does not rule out that small groups linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard are behind the execution of such attacks, according to a semi-official account, but he warns that some factions may use this interpretation as a cover for their movements, while expanding their influence within state institutions and combining weapons and positions.

STATEMENT

Sources reported that arrest warrants are imminent for those who launched the marches towards the Green Zone, or one march according to the official narrative.

But the more difficult question is: Will the government withstand the pressure if the investigations lead to powerful factions?

According to sources close to him, the prime minister is beginning to catch his breath after weeks of confusion and is attempting to form his own team, as Al-Mada revealed in a series of reports this week. Ironically, the team Al-Zaidi is trying to assemble appears to largely consist of forces and factions that his government is supposed to disarm. Instead of controlling them, he may find himself besieged by them, or even threatened with being swallowed up by them in the end, according to informed sources. A Shiite politician close to the coordinating framework described this approach as “playing with fire.” He believes that the factions that rose to power alongside Al-Zaidi may be the very ones that ultimately push him to end his short political career. The politician, who requested anonymity, told Al-Mada, citing security sources, that those who launched the drones toward the Green Zone on Tuesday evening will be arrested.

Daytime arrest warrants issued… and factional influence within the government.

Yesterday, the military office of al-Zaydi announced the dismissal of four senior officers in the Ministry of Interior from their positions, on the grounds that they allowed members of the Popular Mobilization Forces to insult the American flag.

Earlier this month, Baghdad arrested between 8 and 10 people, including members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, for insulting the flag during a ceremony held in the capital to mark the withdrawal of US forces.

These measures seek to demonstrate the government’s resolve, but they raise a question about the double standards in dealing with the factions: How can al-Zaydi ally himself with armed forces, while pursuing those launching drones suspected of being linked to them?

The politician, who is close to the political establishment, says that small groups linked to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard—as was the case in the September attacks on Saudi Arabia—are responsible for carrying out such operations, according to a semi-official narrative. However, he is not entirely convinced by this explanation, believing that some factions promote it to provide cover for their actions, while simultaneously consolidating power, weapons, and positions in their hands. In his view, the danger lies not merely in launching one or two drones, but in the government becoming a political front for an armed force that operates outside its control, using weapons when necessary without bearing direct responsibility.

The politician warns that al-Zaidi may find himself in an embarrassing confrontation with Washington, and with the pledges he made to US envoy Tom Barrack.

The problem, as he sees it, is that the factions can keep their weapons in the shadows, while leaving the prime minister to bear the cost of the political and diplomatic confrontation.

Simultaneously with Baghdad’s announcement of the downing of a drone in a brief statement, al-Zaidi was proceeding, according to Shiite circles, to vacate sensitive positions, including intelligence and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, in preparation for handing them over to figures from the factions.

Leaks indicate that the list of positions expected to go to “Kataib Hezbollah” extends to positions in border crossings and the border guard, as well as the investment authority in 5 governorates: Basra, Baghdad, Karbala, Muthanna and Najaf.

According to the leaks, the list includes 5 positions for undersecretaries and 32 positions for directors-general, in addition to security positions in the Ministries of Defense and Interior, and the intelligence and national security agencies.

Mansour Al-Baiji, a member of parliament from the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, said that the government changes being made by Al-Zaidi include 50 positions, the latest of which was changing his office director, Ihsan Al-Awadi, and terminating the assignment of the head of the intelligence service, Hamid Al-Shatri.

Al-Baiji added, in a television interview, that the changes may extend to directors in the Popular Mobilization Forces, revealing an anticipated government participation for the “Kataib Hezbollah”.

In contrast, the Al-Zaidi government denies granting the intelligence service to any party so far.

Those close to him believe that the Prime Minister has made progress in his negotiations with the factions, which he reportedly conducted immediately after the removal of the four-member committee that included Nouri al-Maliki, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, Hadi al-Amiri and Humam Hamoudi.

Drones without explosive warheads… but with powerful messages

Political and legal researcher Saif al-Saadi believes that sending two drones toward the vicinity of the US embassy carries two messages, one internal and the other external. Al-Saadi told Al-Mada that the Security Media Cell stated the drones were unarmed and did not carry explosive warheads. According to his interpretation, the factions intended to present the operation as a reconnaissance mission, not an attack, and a test of the state’s ability to assert its sovereignty over its airspace.

He adds that the incident represents a “warning bell” or a gauge of the parallel state’s temperature, especially after the declaration of “Sovereignty Day,” which is supposed to launch a new phase of restricting weapons to the state.

As for the internal message, al-Saadi interprets it as a protest against al-Zaydi’s closure of the al-Shaib border crossing, along with objections from some factions to Iraq’s involvement in the regional equation linking Damascus, Beirut, and Riyadh, which he claims was engineered by Tom Barrack. According to al-Saadi, some factions oppose Iraq’s integration into this equation, while the external message attempts to inform the United States that these forces remain present and capable of influencing the political and military landscape, even after the withdrawal of American troops.

He says the message also includes a reference to these groups’ ability to monitor and track movements, whether it concerns the US embassy, Tom Barrack, or al-Zaidi’s own movements.

Al-Saadi concludes that drones pose a challenge to the capabilities of the state, which, after the withdrawal of foreign forces, declared its intention to monopolize the use of force. According to his analysis, some factions want to emphasize that they remain part of the regional power dynamics or of a “proactive defense” strategy.

So far, there is no detailed official account that definitively determines whether the drones targeted the government palace or the US embassy, nor has it been definitively clear who launched them.

Who launched the drones?

The government has not provided a definitive account.

Ghalib al-Da’mi, an academic and political researcher, says that the target is still undecided, and that there are two trends in interpreting the incident: the first sees it as a message to the Americans, and the second considers it a message directed to the Iraqi government.

Al-Daami tells Al-Mada that, according to available information, the drones were reconnaissance aircraft and did not carry offensive weapons. However, he emphasizes that the government has yet to provide a detailed official explanation for what happened. This lack of official confirmation, however, does not dispel fears that the incident is part of a broader conflict over the use of force. Al-Daami says that the factions have not fully surrendered their weapons, and some still declare their adherence to their previous approach. He adds that there are also recurring reports of armed groups breaking away from those who agreed with the government to hand over their weapons.

He adds that this indicates that the movement of weapons in Iraq is not always subject to a local decision, but is influenced by external factors that can push armed groups to move when interests require it or the need arises to put pressure on the government.

Al-Daami expects that the security forces will be able to identify the drone launch sites, considering that this may constitute the beginning of pursuing the outlaw elements.

This drone incident marks a first since the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq. However, this does not mean that armed groups have ceased launching drones or monitoring the skies, as they have previously announced in statements that they are tracking aerial movements.

Days earlier, a group calling itself the “Resistance Coordination” claimed to have recorded 170 American airspace violations since the withdrawal.

Warning of renewed escalation and loss of investments

For his part, Ghazi Faisal, head of the Iraqi Center for Strategic Studies, warns that the return of the drone phenomenon, especially over the Green Zone, and the associated possibility of targeting the US embassy, represents a dangerous development that could bring armed factions back to the military approach in dealing with the United States, and undermine the diplomatic efforts that the Iraqi government is trying to adopt.

Faisal points out that the United States no longer has armed forces or military bases in Iraq, after the last of its forces left on September 30, according to the agreements concluded between Baghdad and Washington.

He believes that returning to the use of drones against American interests and the embassy could reignite armed tensions and cause Iraq losses that go beyond the security aspect, affecting investments and companies that the country needs to achieve development.

RENEWED THREATS FROM FACTIONS AGAINST WASHINGTON ARE DISRUPTING BAGHDAD’S EFFORTS TO RESTRICT WEAPONS.

The renewed warnings from Iraqi armed factions to Washington against using Iraqi airspace in any potential attack against Iran are raising concerns in Baghdad about the possibility of these factions becoming embroiled in a new regional conflict. This comes at a time when the government is trying to control the factions’ movements and persuade them to confine their weapons . On Friday, Ansar Allah al-Awfiya, a group within the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq,” declared that any use of Iraqi airspace by the United States to attack Iran would constitute a “violation of Iraqi sovereignty” and would be met with a response.

The spokesman for the armed group, Ali al-Fatlawi, said in a press statement that “the movement will remain neutral as long as Iraq is not used as a launching pad for attacks on any neighboring country, and Washington is required to refrain from violating Iraqi airspace,” adding, “However, any violation of Iraqi sovereignty will be met with a response from the movement, and the nature of the response will be determined by the leadership (of the armed group) according to the requirements of the stage.” He pointed out that his group “will not surrender its weapons,” explaining that “the agreement with the government includes regulating and limiting weapons during the period from September 2026 to June 2027, and not withdrawing or surrendering them.”

This stance indicates that some armed factions still maintain a degree of military control, despite the Iraqi government’s ongoing dialogues and attempts to reach understandings with them regarding the issue of restricting weapons to the state. This situation also renews concerns that any potential US-Iranian confrontation could drag Iraq into the conflict it has consistently sought to avoid. These warnings from the factions come in the wake of recent developments, including the downing of two drones in Baghdad’s Green Zone on Tuesday. Reports suggest the attack was an attempt to target the US Embassy, but the embassy’s air defense system intercepted and downed them without the intervention of Iraqi security forces on the ground.

The Zaidi government does not trust the factions.

In this context, an Iraqi government source, who requested anonymity, said that “Ali al-Zaidi’s government does not trust the factions, and the possibility of their mobilization in the event of any attacks against Iran is very likely.”

The source explained to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that “these factions have not yet shown any flexibility regarding the government’s efforts to confine their weapons, and they remain intransigent on this matter.” He added that “Baghdad is continuing its dialogues with these factions and is exerting pressure on them to reach understandings that would ensure their participation in confining their weapons to the state and preventing any military actions or threats they might make against any party that could drag Iraq into a regional confrontation.” He emphasized that “these factions have not provided any clear guarantees or commitments regarding the issue, which presents the government with a serious challenge in the event of any new developments.”

A government source told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed: The possibility of factions taking action in the event of any attacks against Iran is very likely.

Over the past few months, the Iraqi government has continued its engagement with armed factions to reach an agreement on the issue of restricting weapons to the state. While some factions agreed to surrender their weapons, others refused, specifically the four factions that chose the name “Islamic Resistance in Iraq”: Kataib Hezbollah, Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, Harakat al-Nujaba, and Harakat al-Awfiya. The armed factions’ rhetoric reveals a widening rift between the government and the factions regarding the interpretation of sovereignty. The government maintains that protecting Iraqi airspace and preventing its use for any external aggression is its sole responsibility, while the factions link their stance on weapons and their commitment to any ceasefire to what they perceive as Washington’s respect for Iraqi sovereignty.

These positions represent a pressure factor on Baghdad’s efforts to keep Iraq away from any regional confrontation, especially with the absence of any declared guarantees from the four armed groups regarding their non-intervention militarily, which makes the issue of restricting weapons directly linked to the government’s ability to have decision-making authority and prevent the country from being dragged into difficult situations in light of regional escalation.

Last week, the four factions said in a statement that “the continued violation of Iraqi sovereignty by the American enemy and its disavowal of its declared commitments to the government constitutes a clear violation of the agreements concluded and the obligations arising from them, and a clear breach of the duties imposed on all parties, which places the government before a moral obligation to be honest with our Iraqi people about the truth of what is happening.” The factions asked, according to the statement: “How can one speak of the sovereignty of a state whose decisions are restricted from abroad, thus consolidating America’s hegemony and

strengthening its influence at the expense of the independence of national decision-making?”

BARRACK CITES IRAQI MILITIA DISARMAMENT TARGET, SAYS IRAN TALKS NEAR DE-ESCALATION

U.S. Presidential Special Envoy characterized Iraq’s relationship with Tehran in unusually direct terms. “Iraq is hand-in-glove part of the Iranian overall plans […] several proxies within its operation which have ministerial command.”

U.S. Presidential Special Envoy for Iraq and Syria Tom Barrack has outlined a proposed end-of-June target for disarming militias in Iraq, warning that removing armed groups from the country’s security landscape would require negotiated arrangements to replace them, as Washington pursued a separate diplomatic opening with Iran. Speaking with Becky Anderson at the Global Perspectives event in Doha on Thursday, Oct. 29, Barrack addressed Iran’s influence in Iraq, negotiations involving Tehran, the future of regional security alliances and reconstruction in Syria.

His comments offered an account of the Trump administration’s approach, although he did not announce a completed agreement on militia disarmament or Iranian de-escalation.

Discussing the challenges confronting Iraq’s new prime minister, Barrack referred to a prospective deadline: “By the end of June you’re going to disarm these what we call militias and that disarming is a cooperative effort of what do you replace it with, what do you give them, what’s the system, what’s the framework.”

He did not specify the year, identify an agreed enforcement mechanism or explain which groups would be covered.

Barrack characterized Iraq’s relationship with Tehran in unusually direct terms. “Iraq is hand-in-glove part of the Iranian overall plans […] several proxies within its operation which have ministerial command.”

He cited Iraq’s approximately 1,400-kilometer border with Iran and the presence of armed groups with links to state institutions as obstacles to changing that relationship.

The envoy nevertheless praised the Iraqi prime minister, whom he did not name during this exchange. “This young prime minister is courageous, he is smart, he’s plenty rich enough so there’s not an issue of corruption and he’s got a monumental task.”

Barrack said Washington supported the government’s efforts, while acknowledging the difficulty of disarming groups whose functions and connections are embedded in Iraq’s political and security structures.

He also questioned the record of American intervention. “After 2003 and 23 years of really daunting interaction by the US in Iraq, most of what we’ve done there has been problematic.”

Rather than create another security vacuum, he said, the United States wanted to reduce tensions and help Iraq develop a workable framework for coexistence.

He contrasted oil-producing Iraq, with an established revenue base, against Syria’s much weaker investment environment.

On Iran, Barrack said the administration remained interested in an agreement despite difficult negotiations led by U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff. “He’s always open to a deal. […] He has a stick and a carrot. He is always inclined to go to the carrot.” Barrack rejected the suggestion that Trump was simply seeking a public-relations victory ahead of the U.S. midterm elections or that diplomacy depended on Israel’s election calendar.

He identified a specific proposal being considered by Tehran: “We’re very close. Qatar presented a seven-day option, I think it’s open source and acknowledged, and Iran is digesting it.”

Barrack credited Qatari leaders with acting as intermediaries but gave no terms for the proposed arrangement and did not say Iran had accepted it. Restoring trust, he argued, remained the central obstacle to even preliminary talks. “The trust on both sides was evaporated. […] As we eliminate our counterparties within Iran communication becomes much more difficult.”

He said Qatar, Pakistan and other partners were trying to bring the parties into a process that could first suspend hostilities and reopen channels of communication rather than settle all outstanding disputes.

Barrack offered a qualified prediction about the immediate prospects: “I think in the next two weeks you could have dramatic steps forward of everybody saying let’s bring the temperature down, let’s start again, let’s get rid of the hostile kinetic activity and find a new alignment.”

He presented that as a possibility, not a negotiated timetable or confirmation of a breakthrough.

Anderson asked about reports of a letter from Vice President JD Vance to an Iranian official named Rezaei and possible talks the following week in Qatar or Türkiye.

Barrack did not confirm either report. He emphasized the risk that fresh incidents could overturn delicate contacts, citing the Houthis, piracy and instability involving Somalia and Djibouti. “The greatest risk of miscalculation is the unintended consequences of a mistake.”

Asked whether Washington was considering further military action, Barrack said: “The use of kinetic action is taken so seriously by everybody in this administration including the president so giving every option for that not to happen is what you see taking place in front of you.”

His comments did not exclude military options, but emphasized efforts to avoid them.

That diplomacy formed part of a broader change Barrack described in U.S. commitments to the Middle East. “We’re here, we’re not leaving, we’re just saying we’re not going to own it anymore, we need participation from the region.”

He maintained that Washington was not abandoning its partners or seeking a security vacuum; instead, it expected governments in the region to take a larger share of responsibility.

“You can rely on America to be there as a supporter, as a friend, but not as a guarantor.” Barrack pointed to diplomatic contacts involving Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Türkiye with Iran as examples of regional governments managing relationships even when the United States was not directly participating.

Anderson challenged him on how that approach would reassure Gulf states that had faced Iranian attacks following U.S.-Israeli strikes.

He argued that regional arrangements should eventually involve Israel as well. “We need everybody at the table including Israel […] the problem with the Islamabad MOU was they were missing from the table.”

Barrack discussed the Mecca agreement, an Islamabad memorandum and the Abraham Accords as potential components of a wider security structure, while acknowledging that the process would take time and require cooperation among governments with different interests.

Barrack also asserted, without presenting supporting evidence in the interview, that “There is no imminent threat of nuclear.”

In defining the administration’s approach to Tehran, he added: “The adversary has been the IRGC, not the Iranian people.” Both remarks were his assessments, rather than findings independently demonstrated during the discussion.

Asked whether an Israeli political change would be needed for regional diplomacy, Barrack said the outcome should not depend on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s political future. He rejected territorial expansion as a viable path: “The path is not a greater Israel and I think that that’s an illusion.”

Anderson noted that Netanyahu and figures in his administration had helped promote the idea; Barrack acknowledged the role of Israeli political rhetoric while arguing that neighboring countries ultimately needed to cooperate.

“Everybody is realizing the answer to this is diplomacy not war.” Barrack said any long-term Israeli settlement with neighboring states would depend on dialogue rather than recurring conflict.

He also defended Israel’s concern for its borders following the October 7 attacks, while referring to continued Israeli incursions into Syria. On Syria, Barrack claimed its leadership was prepared for a different relationship with Israel: “Syria has made it clear […] that it is not predatory to Israel and it wants a peace and normalization agreement.”

He pointed to the possibility of broader regional engagement, but presented normalization as an objective rather than an agreement already reached.

Anderson questioned Barrack about proposals to revive the Kirkuk-Baniyas oil pipeline as an alternative trade route to the Strait of Hormuz.

She also raised Reuters reporting that he had advocated participation by a business partner’s company, asking whether reconstruction efforts would benefit Syrians or politically connected investors. Barrack did not directly detail the reported relationship or the pipeline’s proposed commercial structure.

Instead, he emphasized the difficulty of attracting financing. “Trying to find somebody to come and invest inside of Syria, by the way, is an almost an impossibility.”

He cited banking limitations, currency instability, debt, remaining sanctions-related restrictions and unsettled security arrangements, including issues involving Alawites, Kurds, Druze and foreign fighters.

Barrack said he had approached contacts from his business career, including major energy companies such as Exxon, Chevron, HKN, ConocoPhillips and Total, because substantial investments might not generate returns for 10 to 15 years. “The Trump administration is not enriching themselves or anything. It’s trying to entice and figure out ways and programs including relieving export controls on a place like Syria.”

He praised assistance from Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, while stressing that diplomatic understandings and investment proposals would not by themselves resolve Syria’s economic constraints.

The envoy also credited Syrian authorities with avoiding armed retaliation to Israeli incursions, a characterization he offered without independent evidence in the interview.

Barrack returned repeatedly to the same immediate objective: an initial reduction in violence that could permit negotiations to continue. His remarks left open the terms of Qatar’s proposal, the practical arrangements for Iraq’s militia disarmament and the timetable for any wider regional security agreement.

FORMER MP: AMERICA USED METHODS TO DISTORT THE IMAGE OF THE RESISTANCE’S WEAPONS AT HOME AND ABROAD

Former MP Razzaq al-Haidari confirmed the existence of American attempts, through various methods, to distort the image of the resistance’s weapons both domestically and internationally, with the aim of achieving Washington’s agendas and ensuring the resistance relinquishes its arms.

Al-Haidari told Al-Maalouma, “The presence of weapons in Iraq represents an element and a source of strength for the country, especially given the many massacres that have occurred and the humiliation suffered by entire populations due to their lack of weapons. This necessitates preserving these weapons and ensuring they are not relinquished.”

He added, “America has worked through various means, in addition to Zionist media outlets, to distort the image of the weapons held by resistance factions inside Iraq. This success in distorting the image would not have been possible without the presence of internal elements who helped achieve American-Zionist objectives.”

He explained that “America used and exploited some internal problems as a pretext to oppose the resistance’s weapons and spread propaganda claiming that these weapons are equivalent to the state and influence it. This distortion was not directed solely at the domestic audience but also worked to export its propaganda abroad, while in reality, these weapons were acquired to preserve the components of the Iraqi state and the dignity of the people.

“PROSECUTE HIM… ENOUGH HYPOCRISY”: A DEBATE BETWEEN MEMBERS OF THE SUDANESE AND MALIKI BLOCS

On Saturday, October 31, 2026, social media witnessed a debate between members of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition led by Mohammed Al-Sudani and members of the State of Law Coalition led by Nouri Al-Maliki.

A member of Maliki’s coalition pledged to file a complaint with the judiciary against Mohammed al-Sudani.

Youssef al-Kalabi, a member of the State of Law Coalition, has published several posts recently, the latest of which was a comment on a picture of him with Bahaa al-Araji at the home of a politician who “requested his intervention.” He spoke about stopping the mutual media campaigns, accusing members of the Sudanese bloc of “starting a new campaign,” and pledging that “we will have our legal response and more in the next session, God willing, as the State of Law Coalition or myself personally.”

He added: “Our position on the former prime minister is firm and will not change, and we have completed more than one report that will be submitted to the judiciary on Monday.”

In response, Khalid Walid, a member of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, wrote in a post followed by “Ultra Iraq” on the website (X): “Prosecute Maliki and do not forget the blood of your sons during the fall of the provinces and the bitter strife. Prosecute him so that he may be an example to those who destroyed society and spread discord.”

For his part, Maliki’s coalition spokesman, Hisham al-Rikabi, wrote: “Enough hypocrisy and exploiting the blood of Iraqis. Whoever speaks today about the fall of the provinces and the strife must stop exploiting the tragedies of Iraqis in his political disputes. History is not reduced to a tweet, and facts do not change with changing positions and interests.”

AL-ZUBAIDI: ALL THE CENTRAL BANK’S MEASURES TO CONTROL THE DOLLAR EXCHANGE RATE HAVE FAILED.

Salam al-Zubaidi, spokesperson for the Victory Coalition, confirmed on Sunday that it is difficult for the Central Bank and the government to control the discrepancies between the official exchange rate and the black market rate.

Al-Zubaidi explained that “the government must take measures to control the markets, which have become a major loophole that is crushing citizens with prices that have risen after the exchange rate was raised against the Iraqi dinar.”

He pointed out that “some speculators are protected by political influence, and that most of those who benefit from speculation in the markets are influential individuals who own private banks and have interests and influence within political blocs, which makes any measures fail in the face of this influence.

BANKS ASSOCIATION: THE CENTRAL BANK’S RESERVES ARE LARGE AND SOUND, AND WE ARE MOVING TOWARDS EXCHANGE RATE STABILITY.

The Association of Private Banks confirmed on Sunday that the Central Bank of Iraq is fulfilling all requests to transfer dollars abroad, noting that its foreign currency reserves are large and solid, and that indicators are moving towards exchange rate stability.

The association’s executive director, Ali Tariq, told the official agency, as reported by Al-Sa’a Network, that “the Central Bank of Iraq is fulfilling all requests related to transferring dollars outside of Iraq, and therefore the work is continuing.”

He added that “security and political conditions affect the price of the dollar in the market, but the reserves of the Central Bank of Iraq are solid and large, and it is able to meet the demand in the market, which strengthens the trend towards the stability of the exchange rate.”

Regarding the sanctions imposed on some banks, Tariq explained that “all banks are currently committed to the requirements of work and within local and international standards,” expressing his hope that “there will be no financial sanctions on Iraq during the next stage.”

EXPERTS PROPOSE SOLUTIONS TO END THE DOLLAR GAP

Financial and economic experts have proposed a roadmap for achieving sustainable stability in the local exchange market. While they pointed out that the announcement of the arrival of new cash shipments of dollars should be accompanied by flexible distribution mechanisms and accessible official channels that meet the needs of traders and citizens, they warned that the lack of regular currency flow and the complexity of commercial transfer procedures will keep the parallel market as a major haven that fuels the current price gap.

Integration of efforts

In this regard, the Executive Director of the Association of Iraqi Banks, Ali Tariq, said that providing dollar shipments and enhancing the regularity of their arrival to Iraq represents an important step to contain the pressures witnessed in the exchange market, noting that the success of this step is linked to the government’s ability to create the appropriate political and economic conditions, and to ensure the continued flow of foreign currency and facilitate its access to those entitled through official channels.

Tariq added, in an interview with Al-Sabah, that Prime Minister Ali Falih Al-Zaidi achieved important economic gains as the top executive in coordinating efforts between government institutions, the Central Bank and relevant authorities, in addition to the importance of his actions in easing the political and diplomatic atmosphere, and building understandings that contribute to ensuring the continuity of shipments and avoiding any interruption that may negatively affect market stability and the confidence of traders.

He believed that the importance of the government’s role is not limited to providing dollars, but extends to addressing the structural reasons that drive its price up in the parallel market, explaining that this is achieved by facilitating commercial transfer procedures, reducing administrative complexities for importers, and ensuring that foreign currency reaches legitimate activities to prevent additional informal demand.

Tariq explained that the regularity of shipments carries a reassuring message to traders and citizens that the monetary authorities have the necessary tools to deal with pressures, noting that the market is not affected by the size of the supply alone, but also reacts to expectations, confidence indicators, and the clarity of government directions.

2027 Budget

For his part, economic and financial expert Dr. Aqeel Jabr Ali Al-Muhammadawi stated that the regularity and volume of shipments are key factors in narrowing the gap between the official exchange rate and the parallel market rate. He predicted monthly shipments of around $500 million, with the possibility of this rising to $700-800 million in the coming months, according to his forecast.

Al-Muhammadi told Al-Sabah that the regularity of flows is much more important than the arrival of large shipments individually, stressing the need to direct the dollar to meet the actual demand, especially for travel, remittances, trade and import purposes, through flexible and quick procedures that limit resorting to the black market.

He pointed out that the stability of the exchange rate is linked to the credibility of monetary policy and the clarity of its directions, calling for the adoption of a declared course for fiscal and monetary policy, especially within the framework of the 2027 budget, to reduce speculation and enhance confidence in the market.

While he pointed out the importance of stabilizing oil revenues and providing the necessary financing for the deficit, in conjunction with controlling the movement of currency across borders, and reducing smuggling, dollarization, and pricing in dollars within local markets, he suggested that the shipments would contribute to calming the market in the short term, ruling out the two prices matching in the near term unless financial conditions improve and official channels for obtaining dollars become available.

Success standard

In this context, economist Dr. Diaa Al-Mohsen supported this proposal, pointing out that the new shipments may alleviate the pressure on the dollar, while noting that they alone do not guarantee a sustainable decrease, as their effectiveness depends on the actual size of cash demand, the regularity of their arrival, and the ease of their distribution.

Al-Muhsin explained in an interview with Al-Sabah that import financing is mainly done through bank (credit) transfers, so the adequacy of cash shipments cannot be measured by comparing them to Iraq’s total foreign currency needs. He added that the arrival of dollars in the Central Bank’s vaults does not mean their automatic transfer to the market, unless those entitled to them can obtain them through official channels without obstacles.

He added that assessing the true impact requires clear data including the amounts actually distributed in the markets, the size of unmet requests and waiting periods, and the size of the cash stock available at banks, noting that improved distribution efficiency and continued supplies may contribute to calming prices and reducing “hedging demand” for the dollar.

Al-Muhsin warned that the continued difficulties in official transfers for traders may make any decrease limited or temporary, stressing that the criterion for the success of shipments is the reduction of the price gap for several consecutive weeks in conjunction with meeting the real demand, and not just a temporary decline in the price of the dollar after the announcement of the arrival of a new shipment.

The experts concluded in their view that the stability of the exchange market requires an integrated package that combines regular supply, efficient distribution, and facilitating the financing of legitimate trade, which ensures building confidence in monetary policy and reduces dependence on the parallel market, while praising the efforts of the Central Bank in this direction, and its steps aimed at fully controlling the parallel exchange rate.

THE POPULAR MOBILIZATION FORCES AND OIL AND GAS ARE AT THE TOP OF THE LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES.

The priorities of the sixth session of the House of Representatives are to proceed with a package of laws that affect the lives of citizens and the rights of broad segments, with efforts to complete them before the end of the legislative session. At the forefront of these legislations is the Popular Mobilization Forces Law, which was voted on by the Council of Ministers last September, along with the Oil and Gas Law and the Teachers Protection Law, amid parliamentary demands to expedite their completion.

MP Sakr al-Muhammadawi told Al-Sabah newspaper, “The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) law is one of the laws awaited by the majority of members of Parliament, and we demand that the PMF law be expedited.” He added, “The Council of Ministers voted on the draft law in its 21st regular session, held on September 29th, and decided to refer it to Parliament for a vote, based on the provisions of the Constitution, specifically Article 80/Second, and Articles (32) and (9/Ninth) of the Parliament’s internal regulations.” Deputies.

Al-Muhammadi explained that “the project has not yet been presented to the council, despite its direct connection to the rights of members of the Popular Mobilization Forces and the families of martyrs and wounded,” demanding that it be “swiftly sent to the council and included in the agenda.” His works.

For his part, MP Ahmed al-Moussawi told Al-Sabah newspaper, “A number of laws are being worked on and will be passed in the near future, most notably the long-awaited Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) law,” expressing his hope that “it will soon reach the parliament to complete the procedures for its approval.” He added, “There are other important laws that are expected to be addressed, including the oil and gas law, as well as legislation that directly impacts the lives of citizens.”

For his part, MP Haider al-Faily, a member of the Education Committee, explained that “the Teachers’ Protection Law has been finalized by the committee.” He told Al-Sabah newspaper that “it underwent its first reading in the previous session and is scheduled to be presented for its second reading, in preparation for voting on it and moving forward.” He added that “the law includes provisions for protecting this important segment of society, as well as allocating land for teachers.” to them”.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE CENTRE: IRAQ IS QUALIFIED TO BECOME A REGIONAL HUB FOR TRADE AND INVESTMENT.

The Executive Director of the International Trade Centre, Pamela Cooke Hamilton, confirmed that the Iraqi government is committed to accelerating the procedures for joining the World Trade Organization, expressing her hope that the membership requirements will be completed by 2028. While revealing a proposal to prepare a national strategy for trade and investment, she stressed that Iraq is qualified to become a regional center for trade and investment.

Hamilton said during her appearance on the “Economic Dinar” program on Al-Iraqiya News Channel, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency: “The International Trade Centre continues to support Iraq in completing the requirements for joining the World Trade Organization, through reviewing local legislation and regulations and building the capacities of government institutions and the private sector,” indicating that “Iraq submitted its goods offer last September, and is currently working on completing its services offer.”

She added, “There is a clear governmental commitment to accelerating the accession procedures, which I sensed during my discussions with the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Trade,” noting that “the government is aware of the importance of this step and the economic, trade and investment opportunities it provides, while the time factor represents the most prominent challenge to completing the required procedures and reforms.”

She explained that “membership in the World Trade Organization will contribute to enhancing the confidence of international investors in the Iraqi economy, by providing a more stable, transparent and clear business environment in legislation and economic policies,” noting that “joining will enhance Iraq’s integration into the global trading system, and send a message to the international community of its readiness to attract business and investments.”

Hamilton revealed that a proposal had been submitted to the Iraqi government to prepare a national strategy for trade and investment, based on the National Development Plan for the years 2024–2028. She explained that the strategy aims to identify promising economic sectors, develop a roadmap for their development and enhance their ability to attract investments, while supporting existing government plans and expanding job opportunities for youth, women, and the most vulnerable groups.

Regarding economic diversification, she noted that “developments related to the Strait of Hormuz have revealed the risks of over-reliance on oil revenues and demonstrated the need to build a more diversified and resilient economy,” estimating the economic losses resulting from a single incident related to the strait at approximately $60 billion.

She stressed “the importance of developing the construction, tourism, information technology, agricultural and food industries sectors, as they are promising sectors that can contribute to diversifying national income sources and reducing dependence on oil.”

She emphasized that “small, medium and micro enterprises represent a key driver of economic growth, and constitute about 90% of the economy, according to the percentage she cited,” indicating that “the center works to support Iraqi projects by developing their production capacities, facilitating their access to markets and financing, and training their owners on managing financial records and meeting commercial standards.”

As part of supporting the agricultural sector, Hamilton revealed the success of the (Safi) project, which was launched in Iraq in 2020, in supporting more than four thousand Iraqi farmers and achieving a 70% increase in production and exports. She explained that the project contributed to developing agricultural businesses and training young people, while efforts continue through the (Jobs) project to enhance job opportunities and build capacities.

She added that “the center’s programs have contributed to the development of Iraqi agricultural and food products, including potatoes, tomatoes and poultry, and helped producers meet the required commercial standards, which allowed some of these products to reach modern sales and distribution chains, including Carrefour stores.”

She pointed out that “one of the most prominent challenges facing Iraqi agricultural and food exports is the lack of accredited local laboratories to conduct the tests required for international markets, which forces producers to send samples abroad, raising costs and weakening competitiveness,” stressing “the need to invest in testing laboratories and quality systems, especially to support exports of agricultural products and dates.”

Regarding trade partnerships, Hamilton announced that “the Iraqi National Trade Fair achieved sales exceeding $83 million, and contributed to strengthening partnerships and attracting the interest of major international companies, including Siemens, Alcatel, Nokia and General Electric.”

She explained that “the exhibition recorded the participation of more than a thousand people in its previous session, compared to about 800 participants in the current session,” noting that “these events reflect the size of the commercial and investment opportunities available in the Iraqi market.”

Regarding the construction sector, she affirmed that “the International Trade Centre is working to develop the sector by introducing green building and energy efficiency standards, and implementing programs to train Iraqi youth on modern building technologies, solar panel installation, and the development of climate-smart buildings,” indicating that “these efforts aim to support sustainable reconstruction and enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of the construction sector for investment.”

She added that “Iraq possesses great historical, civilizational and cultural assets that qualify it to transform tourism into an industry capable of generating billions of dollars in revenue,” stressing “the importance of investing in developing the skills of young people in the fields of hospitality, tourism services and digital technologies, which would allow for the investment of untapped tourism potential and the provision of new job opportunities.”

She pointed out that “digital transformation and information and communication technology represent one of the most promising sectors in the Iraqi economy, given the opportunities that digital platforms provide for local companies to access global markets and expand their exports,” stressing “the importance of developing digital skills and artificial intelligence applications, especially in the tourism, services and trade sectors.”

She revealed the “continuation of the implementation of the (Masar) project to qualify Iraqi youth for the labor market, through technical and vocational training in the construction, tourism and hospitality sectors, in accordance with market needs and local conditions,” noting that “building human capacities and providing practical training constitute an important basis for creating job opportunities and supporting economic development.”

Hamilton concluded by emphasizing that “Iraq has great economic and human potential that qualifies it to become a distinguished regional center for trade and investment,” noting that “the International Trade Centre supports the Iraqi government’s vision to build a strong and diversified economy, enhance the role of the private sector, empower youth and women, and expand partnerships between Iraqi companies and international investors.”

You have said before Iraq is never on time, well time to really bust their butts and make it very painful for everyone in Iraq govt. I personally believe there are to many relatives in the militias that are related to Iraqis and Z does not have the will power and desire to forcefully go and get the arms, he is afraid. This is the first time I really feel like Trump will bring Iraq to its knees. Why are you so confident it will get done by Z? Z, Sudani, Kadhimi, Abbadi, the list never stops. F

  3. First, I am very much looking forward to all.of this shaking out so we can go to the bank. However, I have a very concerned about two things. First, that the PMF groups issue will get resolved anytime soon. Second, I am concerned that once the US military withdraws, that someone like the Taliban or ISIS will rush in and take over. If that invasion happens, say goodbye to an RV anytime soon. The US military should stay in country as a deterrent form outside forces coming in and wrecking all the progress Iraq has made.

«Roadmap for Arms Containment».. Factions Commit as of Early October to Cease Activities Contradicting State Policy and Surrender Strategic Weapons Between March and June 2027 The Coordinating Framework Committee concerned with the arms containment file has reached understandings that outline a timeline for implementing the process, starting on the first of next October and continuing in stages until June 2027. According to the understandings, Iraqi factions commit as of the first of October to halt any military or media activity that contradicts state policy, making this step the first phase of the agreed roadmap regarding the arms file. The process then moves in a subsequent phase to the strategic weapons possessed by the armed factions, as the understandings stipulate the surrender of these weapons during the period extending from March to June 2027. In parallel with the internal track, Iraqi government parties are working to convince Washington of the Coordinating Framework Committee’s agreement on arms containment, as part of the movements related to implementing the reached understandings. On the regional side, Iran has expressed no reservations about the Coordinating Framework Committee’s agreement on arms containment in Iraq. Thus, the roadmap is built on a phased track that begins in early October with stopping military and media activities contradicting state policy, leading to the surrender of strategic weapons between March and June 2027, coinciding with government moves to convince Washington of the understandings and the absence of Iranian reservations on them #

But what we can determine is that Iranian Islamic blasphemers are hoping mid term elections will hurt Trumps war efforts, likely will lose a few seats to the liberals, IRGC is counting on that to stop the war effort, so any stalling tactic is well worth their efforts, andZ is helping them with this bullshit delay tactic. But with escalation of war in Iran and surrounding areas, Arabs and Zionists joining together, sanctions and blockade, the IRGC is getting desperate, have to be, and the PMF is feeling it too, they are in a position to steal dollars within Iraq, but support from Iran has to be dwindling. I would think that NOW would be the time to bring a case in the Supreme Judiciary and Integrity Committee (whatever they call it) of Iraq to openly declare traitors TRAITORS and quit acting like cowards. Let the people know who these people are , Put extreme pressure on the iranian supporters in iraq, throw them out after taking their weapons, go to war on them and save your country ! IRAQIS STAND UP AND TAKE BACK YOUR COUNTRY!

  7. Your right Mt Goat. The Iraq government is slow at getting things done. They sit around on their ASSES doing nothing. Let Iran take them over. And Al-Zaidi looks like he doesn’t know what to do about the PMF??? They need more time till June 2027?? Come on Iraq you had over 20 years to get this done….If you knew how to run a business and government. You could have this done this year and RV in January 2027. Nuff said!!!

  11. Thinking about the present situation from a logical perspective, why can’t the following new situations present themselves?

1.The Iranian soldiers relinquish their weapons, return to Iran and once Iraq revalues, they then simply re-infiltrate and take up where they left off. After all, who is going to stop them?

    2. Why does Iran want/need US dollars if/when the dinar is worth more than one US dollar. After all, they can easily acquire dinars and in any event, no doubt have vast sums of dinars in storage.

I simply cannot get my head around why my suggested scenarios won’t occur.

What will come out of Al-Zaidi’s visit with president Trump? Will Trump ignore this new plan and place sanctions on Iraq since they had already since July to disarm and did not disarm the factions? However, most, if not all, of the militias did disarm already and that shows most of the progress made so far. They are now also waiting for the draft bill to go before parliament for governing the PMF after disarmament. What is in this law?

Attack them, arrest them, imprison them. Problem solved, our forces must go full out offensive and squash this terrorist state , its terrorist cells abroad here and in Europe. FINISH THE JOB and quit worrying about liberal votes they won’t vote red anyway no matter what. Force submission and total surrender of The Islamic blasphemers, along with the factions , we should not be asking for dismantling but DEMANDING AND ACCEPT NOTHING LESS. President Trump, you have pushed the issue this far, we have our forces in place, USE THEM. I see no upside in prolonging the only true option to the terrorism and tyranny of the Islamic, wipe them out!

I venture to say that unless this gets cleaned up soon, it will never get cleaned up and the Iraqi’s will never get off their rentier economy. The longer this stretches out, the less confidence I have that Iraq will rejoin the world economy and we’ll see a payoff of our investment.

    1. Guten Tag bleednred1,
Oh these Iranian politicians want to desperately join the world’s economy so they
would reinstate the dinar back to FOREX tomorrow if it was up to them. But its not
up to them and this is yet more leverage Washington and the IMF has on them. The
problems comes in that they can’t a track investors as long as the factions remain.
Investors want security and stability. So yet the rentier economy will continue.
Now comes president Trump and he sees their full potential. He wants to rebuild Iraq
not control it. They need to see it. Al-Zaidi see it. He wants the terrorists out.

You are not reading my news correctly. I have said many times that the PMF has already disarmed.
They are integrating some into the Iraqi armed forced and others are going back home.

It is the Hezbollah terrorist factions that refuse to disarm and even recently even threated to attack Iraqi airspace
if any US planes fly over, now that the US is pulled out (Sept 30th) This is the problem and it many end up a blood bath. We can only watch it
      play out.

Safaa Al-Jabri: “serious” discussions inside PM’s office and CBI

MP Safaa Al-Jabri, a member of the Parliamentary Economic Committee, spoke in a televised interview on iNews. Iraqi outlet 964 Media published the interview at 10:43 p.m. October 5.

    It says…

Currency Redenomination: Serious technical discussions are underway between the Prime Minister’s Office and the Central Bank of Iraq regarding currency redesign and the removal of three zeros. The measure is currently stalled only by legal jurisdictional reviews to identify the specific governing authority legally empowered to greenlight and execute the structural transition.

Yes, I do believe we will see the reinstatement of the Iraqi dinar in 2027.
They will kick off the new year with the removing of the zeros. This will most
likely continue for 6 months until June. If the terrorists factions are out of Iraq
by then they will reinstate the dinar. This is just my opinion. As we go through these
next months we will learn more to provide more evidence.

We read of all the good things Z is doing, much like Abadi, Kahdimi, Sudani were the true Iraqi peoples PM. The US/Trump needs to take Iraq off the dollar immediately, then the US come back in and control the collapsed state of Iraq with a new govt. Any Iranian militia may return to Iran or be imprisoned. We have entered into a state of diplomacy that does not work with these people. Foot on the neck will usually get it done, Trump I am afraid much of your time in Iraq has been wasted, you have a short amount left.

1.5:1 wouldn’t be a bad start if ever

IF iran and the factions fall and submit

i don’t see that happening except by force and it looks like that possibility is turning into a probability with three carriers and assault short carrier with what ,3000 marines onboard and at least 10,000 other combat ready troops close to iran, plus Accord Arabs , Pakistan and Turkey along south the Zionists forces of Israel and USA signing agreements of military nature to defend against Iranian islamic Revolution terrorism,

  22. No, things have not gone as we previously thought they would go, no deleting the zeros this year it looks like, question is CAN they delete the zeros beginning of 2027 once the budget has been voted on and new 1520 rate included in that. As it was, the project to delete the zeros was to be done before the budget was finalized and so an adjusted rate could have easily been incorporated into the budget before going to Parliament. Hopefully we won’t have to wait for another year before we see more movement on the project. If history is any indicator of that, then we definitely will be waiting for at least another year, but probably two years as that is there track record up to now after changing their rate. Yes I have been very closely following this process for a very long time. I really hope your contact can shed some light on what the CBI plans to do on the project to delete the zeros. I look forward to reading Tuesdays newsletter for that information.

    2. My concern is that Iraq will be forced to wait until the US government clears them to change their rates. And the US government won’t allow change until the Iranian Fractions have been removed. We now know that the Iraqi government pushed that deadline to June of 2027. So my expectations are that we will not see any change until after June of 2027 and since it is already mid year and always better for accounting to not have changes until the new year. This moves us more towards the January of 2028 date. I hope this won’t be the case, but if we look at what needs to happen before this change that we all wait and hope for, then the story leads us to 2028. Thanks Mtn Goat for always being honest with us and just telling us the way it is and not pushing dreams of what we hope will be.

      1. IMF just came out and said they wanted 2200 rate change from the CBI. The 1520 is a done deal already.
They don’t need permission from the US to make a provisional rate change as long as they are still solely pegged
to the dollar. What they will need is US permission as well as the IMF to reinstate and that will
be a huge revaluation, if they can ever get their act together.

    1. I reported in my Newsletters that early 2027, probably within the first quarter, they would begin
the removing of the zeros. Iraq told us this not me.

I had been saying all along that once they do this there is no turning back
and the reinstatement must shortly follow, monitoring first for inflation. Iraq told us this not me.

If everything goes as planed, then they move to FOREX.

We need to see the OIL and GAS Law passed, Parallel Market ended and the Factions dissolved.

I do not have a crystal ball and will not give predictions. Wait for Iraq to tell us.
